You got to the Inugami agency in a similar fashion to the boys - you were looking for your parents.

Before arriving you lived at an orphanage. You were one of the eldest children and one day, while playing outside, a younger child ran to the street.

You tried to save them but you ended up being run over by car. You should be dead, yet you got up and walked away after a short while. Everyone freaked out.

That's how you ended up at Inugami's

Agency. You fitted in pretty well, got along with Akira - you both often went to try sweets and sightseeing plushies.

Now, getting along with Shiki was trickier, but you managed it. You got interested in his games and watched him play, sometimes cheering for him out loud and you both jumped up and down when he managed to win.

The one you had… a little odd friendship was Kabane. Despite you both being ghouls, he was very aloof and oblivious.

Nonetheless, you spent most time teaching him about social cues - the other two helped a lot.

It was fairly amusing to see both you and Kabane going on missions. Kabane didn't mind walking through whatever, but you were more careful. It didn't mean you didn't lose a limb or two, but you rather not go through that ordeal.

Which made Kabane not quite understand your carefulness - it grew back anyway.

You two shared a special bond, though. Something only you two could understand - the odd feeling of losing a limb, of getting used to pain, of just being a head.

That also opened a room for good tactics. You could coordinate fighting just fine - although you would rather not to.

You acted as a kemono shield for the other two children anytime. Meeting Kabane was very important for both of you.

To have someone to share what happens to your kemono side and new abilities that can awaken. 

Sometimes it sparked a little jealousy from Kon - she disliked how you two could understand each other so easily - but you promise a million times Kabane was just another ghoul, like she would find other kitsunes. 

You tried your best to protect Kabane from being tricked by others - specially Nobimaru's nonsense - but sometimes he was too oblivious to see what you meant, leaving you and Shiki frustrated.

Kabane also protects you from fights. As he knew you disliked it, he tried to call all fights to himself, usually letting you take care of bystanders or Akane. 

All in all you both had a cute and sibling-like relationship!

Kemono Jihen: Not your typical Shounen

What follows is a general, though rather detailed, mostly objective and spoiler free (at least nothing major), description of the Anime/Manga Kemono Jihen, written and drawn by Sho Aimoto and her team and published monthly in the Shounen-Jump Magazine. After that, we dive a little further into some of the characters that are prominent during the beginning of the series and conclude everything by comparing everything with typical shounen-anime qualities and stereotypes.

What is Kemono Jihen about?

The story begins with and follows Kabane Kusaka, a roughly thirteen-year old boy from the Deer-Village, a place in the deep countryside of Japan where he lives with his aunt and his cousin Yataro, ever since his real parents left him there without ever returning for their son only leaving a mysterious stone with him that he wears around his neck at all times. Kabane has a strong, unpleasant odor to him and is ostracized by everyone including his nearest family in the village. Consequently, he isn’t allowed near other people and is forced by his aunt to do most if not all the physical labor around and for the bathhouse which she owns. There is a reason for Kabane’s strong smell though— He is not fully human. In fact, only his mother was and his father was a Kemono (literally ‘Monster’), more precisely, an immortal, bloodless ghoul, making Kabane one of the rare hybrids between the two species which have coexisted for a couple of centuries by now.

His aunt, Mrs Kusaka, is fully aware of this fact since her sister revealed everything to her the day she asked her to take care of the boy. At the beginning of the story, the Deer-Village has been struggling with monthly attacks on the livestock. Cows, chickens and other farm animals are mauled by an unidentified beast and Mrs. Kusaka strongly suspects her nephew to be the culprit, as she is aware of his true nature. Consequently, she employs Kohachi Inugami, a self proclaimed specialist for dangerous and odd phenomena, to investigate. In the following days, Inugami strikes up a sort of friendship with Kabane while observing him, as he carries out his usual duties even helping him occasionally. In the same breath, Inugami also questions Kabane about his parents and the stone he carries with him, calling it ‘something parents would never leave their child with without any meaning to it’. This sparks a little hope in Kabane of ever finding out about his parents. Together, they pinpoint the exact time around which the attacks happen on a monthly basis.

In the night of the next attack Inugami reveals himself to be a Kemono as well, an illusion-weaving Tanuki who runs a detective agency and takes cases where the human and the Kemono world intertwine. Kabane is revealed to be innocent and together they hunt down the true culprit. Once the case is settled, Inugami reveals another thing. He wasn’t primarily called here to take care of the livestock incidents but to kill Kabane on request of his own aunt. After asking Kabane if he would like to find his parents and after the boy denies, Inugami shoots him in the head and delivers his body to Mrs. Kusaka as proof. She asks him to dispose of the corpse and Inugami complies. Kabane, not dead at all, then wakes up in Inugami’s car while they drive through Tokyo. Inugami offers him to work at his agency while looking for clues about his parents and asks the boy again if he would like to find them. Finally, Kabane admits that he does want to find his parents and his new life and purpose in Tokyo begins where he works detective jobs with his new coworkers and occasionally with aid from the local police which is led by Kemono as well.

Some characters from Kemono Jihen

Kabane Kusaka: The main protagonist of the series. A roughly thirteen-year old boy from the countryside and the latest addition to the Kemono-Office. He does not know his exact age, since his remaining family never bothered to remember his birthday, let alone celebrate it. He is a hybrid of a human mother and a kemono father, a bloodless, immortal ghoul. Like his father, Kabane has no blood circulating in his body, nor does he feel physical pain. He also cannot die in the conventional way. He was mentally and physically abused by his aunt and his cousin for his entire life but since he does not feel pain, Kabane cannot comprehend how awful his treatment has been. In fact, he never experienced one shred of love or affection from anyone, leaving him a dull and basically empty husk whose personality and individuality was snuffed out before it could even establish. Not only has he never felt love, friendship, or any kind of other positive emotion, he also does not comprehend the very concept of what they are and what they mean. Kabane almost never shows signs of having emotions himself. He does not have strong reactions to most things, he rarely ever shows a different expression than his basic frown and is also not easily caught in other people’s emotions, mainly because he does not understand them. He is socially almost completely inept and needs much guidance from others to develop a basic understanding of things that others regard as natural or logical. After arriving in Tokyo at Inugami’s agency, he starts working for the man in hopes of finding any clues about his parent’s whereabouts and slowly learns about what it means to value other things and people and, in turn, be valued himself.

Kohachi Inugami: A bakedanuki (Tanuki) who claims to be 36 in human years. He is the founder of his agency where he employs four coworkers in total and calls himself a ‘Kemonoist’. He is mostly laid back and easygoing with a dandy attitude and no means of finding a girlfriend, let alone a wife as he is more of a player and afraid of commitment. That does not mean he takes his work lightly though. If the job calls for it or if innocent bystanders or even more, his employees, are in danger, Inugami can and will fight with all seriousness and all the necessary ruthlessness to do what he thinks is right. He is also more than capable of taking care of his employees, as three of them are far from being of legal age. Like that, he functions as a sort of father figure to them. For some reason he split off from his home and from the other bakedanuki, only returning for a visit every ten or more years or when he needs something. Because he makes himself that rare and because of his fame throughout Japan, Inugami is revered by almost everyone in his hometown and they all make a huge fuss whenever he returns. (Which is probably the reason that he only returns for a visit once a decade…)

Mihai Florescu: The first member to join Inugami’s Agency on the Tanuki’s personal request. Mihai is a vampire from Romania and several hundred years old, perhaps even older. In fact, he is so old that he can’t even remember his own age. Over his lifetime, Mihai has perfected various skills just to fight the boredom of immortality. Among these skill are assassination, sewing, cooking, and everything IT related which is the reason he works at the Agency in the first place— because Inugami is helpless if it comes to anything that requires modern technology. Once arriving in Japan, Mihai became immediately addicted to Japanese MMORPGs and now spends almost his entire time gaming and releasing videos on his TalkTube-channel (YouTube), eating pomegranate potted in blood out of cans and fighting and pestering children which he greatly enjoys. He also permanently wears Inugami’s old pajamas and refuses to put on anything else including underwear. Unluckily, the pajamas are several sizes too big for him, leading to other characters having more insight than they might want if they don’t look away fast enough.

Akira Iwakiyamayukisatoshironanogojuurokushi: The second person to be employed by Inugami and a Snow-Kemono from the Aomori mountains with the ability to control ice who is currently searching for his twin brother Yui. Akira is a fifteen-year old boy that everyone immediately mistakes as a girl on first sight because of the latter’s obsession with social media, only wearing ‘cute’ clothes and liking ‘sweet’ stuff which are mostly exclusively and traditionally girly. Akira himself fails to understand exactly that and keeps wondering and fuming about the fact that he is commonly mistaken as a girl which he really does not like. Akira is very energetic and joyful at pretty much all times as well as permanently excited by basically everything that isn’t dirty, creepy, or both. If confronted by dirty or creepy things though, Akira’s bubbly character dissolves into nothingness and is replaced by panic and fear, so much that he even wets his pants several times in a row. Because of that, Akira does not think highly of himself and his abilities to properly work for Inugami and is in general rather self-conscious. Adding up to that comes his clumsiness which he also regards as being in the way of everyone else. Despite all of that, Akira is a crucial member to the balance of the agency even if not everyone might realize that at first.

Shiki Tademaru: The third person to be employed by Inugami and, like Kabane, a hybrid between a Kemono (Arachne/ Spider-Kemono) and a human father with the ability to weave threads with different chemical and physical properties. Shiki is a fourteen-year old boy and his most defining feature is his incredibly short fuse. Not only is he quick to anger, he is also angered by basically everything and in a constant state of being annoyed by Kabane’s social density and Akira’s joyful nature. If provoked just once, he starts yelling at everything and everyone at hand without making a difference between little children, children his age or his elders. Not even policemen are safe from his outbursts. Because of Shiki’s reactive nature, he is the favorite subject of Mihai’s pestering. Despite this, Shiki is a classic tsundere, has a heart of gold and quickly warms up to new people though he would never outright admit he liked someone. He is also very supportive of his friends, especially Kabane. As much as Akira is obsessed with social media, Shiki takes a liking to any kind of high brand clothing, especially sneakers and often blows his entire salary on limited editions. It was also Shiki who gave Kabane all the clothes he currently wears, as he has more than enough for two people. Shiki often displays a ‘doesn’t care-attitude’ to conceal some unpleasant event from his past that led him to Inugami’s office, yet he refuses to investigate the matter out of fear. Still, Inugami keeps him employed in case he ever changes his mind.

Yoko Inari: A Kitsune (fox) and the main antagonist of the series. Inari has settled in Tokyo an unknown time prior to the start of the story and bewitched the local police with her fox-illusions, rendering them helpless and completely subjecting every single human in her radius to her will. At first, Inugami and her are in the remains of a shaky alliance out of one last shared interest but that soon dissolves and Inari shows her true intentions which is to spread her control far over Tokyo and all over Japan to make humans into her puppets to boss around and eat. Inari is greedy and apparently never satisfied until she has everything she wants. She is highly sociopathic and lives in complete disregard of everyone but herself, including her underlings which she regards as nothing more than tools for her purpose, not even going as far to learn, let alone remember their names. Whenever she is frustrated, she usually starts devouring humans under her spell and letting her underlings clean up afterwards. She is interested in the stone Kabane owns and sees it as a tool to expand her power even more.

Kon: A kitsune girl and Inari’s fourteen-year old tag-along kid. Like everyone else, she’s merely a tool to her boss but is led unaware of the fact to keep up her loyalty. Kon is fiercely devoted to Inari and out to do whatever she wants and whenever she wants. Unfortunately, Kon is neither anywhere near competent, nor intelligent to begin with. Similar to Kabane, she has a hard time understanding basic emotions or situations rendering her similarly inept as the protagonist and incapable of fulfilling even the simplest missions. Though a lackey of Inari, Kon is in no way a bad person and like the others, just an expandable thing for her to use until it stops functioning. Taking advantage of Kon’s naivety, Inari has an especially easy time controlling her.

Homuramaru Nowaki: Or simply called Nobimaru by everyone including himself, is a sketchy and ominous Kitsune and Inari’s right-hand man. In contrast to Inari’s other underlings, Nobimaru is fully aware of the nature of his boss and he despises her. Still, he works for her and does her bidding because he’s serving his own exceedingly selfish goals. Nobimaru is ruthless in his methods and he does not hesitate to kill, betray or use others to further his goals and potentially eliminate possible threats to him beforehand. Whenever he is at work, he does it in a well planned and calculated manner, never revealing too much about him and his objective as well as never fighting with all of his strength to avoid being scouted by others. For the same purpose he mostly hides behind a ‘cute’ facade that gives him more access to whatever he wants. Nobimaru takes a genuine interest in Kabane the first time they meet. He keeps following him and his friends on Inari’s orders to gather intel, place traps, and occasionally help them if it fits his own purpose. Nobimaru has shown joy and entertainment whenever violence or the need to kill arises and he even recommends others certain ways to kill. Furthermore he has shown enjoyment at the thought of meddling with Kabane’s and Shiki’s friendship and also likes to intimidate and threaten children. In the greater picture, Nobimaru plays his very own game of chess, moving pieces from both sides but neither supporting or even owning one side.

A main goal for the protagonist and a couple of friends and antagonists around him. Pretty basic, so how is this not a typical shounen?

1: Dark topics and undertones

Let’s start with the most prominent aspect that distinguishes Kemono Jihen from a stereotypical shounen. Many shounen anime and manga present story arcs that vary in degrees of seriousness and the inclusion of serious topics. In most of them, character death, grief, loss, as well as moral dilemmas are as dark as it gets. But KemoJi does not stop there. In fact, that is where it starts off with even more topics that are rather precarious in media. And those dark undertones, like a red line, lead through all of the story-arcs and especially the manga is very graphic in the portrayal while in the 12 episodes of the anime much was censored or cut completely. To name the issues, several atrocities like rape (implied or even graphically depicted, victims dead or alive), cannibalism, child abuse, murder, mass/serial murder, arson, emotional manipulation, human livestock farming find their ways not only into one arc but in several and are a continuous looming topic throughout the entire series leading to much gore and generally violence which is, yet again, very graphic. With those dark undertones that are more or less continuously present, the switch between comic relief/ humor and serious topics might even appear tasteless to some. Basically, Kemono Jihen deals much more often with much darker topics than they are usually present in a shounen to a point where they become somewhat casual which can be a little terrifying to the reader. The series also manages somehow to make readers like characters that commit some of the atrocities mentioned above which can also become confusing.

2: The main character

The typical shounen introduces a heroic main character with one or more notable character traits, often a strong sense of justice or compassion and a great goal that he (most of the time) is working towards achieving. (For example becoming Hokage or the greatest hero in the world and so on.) Kabane Kusaka is nothing like that. He has a goal in finding his parents— something that sounds basic and insignificant compared to other protagonists’ great ambitions. He also does not have notable character traits or a similar mindset. In contrast, at the beginning of the story, Kabane does not even have a real personality at all. He is also rather powerful for a shounen protagonist starting from the first chapter/ first episode and in no immediate need to become stronger as even in his vanilla state, he is already immortal and cannot feel pain. (That doesn’t mean he is unbeatable) The typical shounen follows the protagonist through his character development while Kemono Jihen is about Kabane developing a character in the first place. It focuses in detail on his emotional progress while he works towards his goal, neglecting other aspects a typical shounen usually deals with simultaneously with the character development. Protagonists usually have a strong moral compass as well and unbreakable values whereas Kabane does not hesitate to torture his opponents for information or kill those in his way though he does not gleefully do so, but under the condition that his opponents would be ready to do the same.

3: Slow start

Unlike other shounens, Kemono Jihen starts rather slowly and there are no overly exciting fight or action scenes in the first episodes/chapters or even arcs. The series takes its time and first arcs to thoroughly introduce Kabane and also his coworkers and later friends, Shiki and Akira, showing also their backgrounds and motivations instead of leaving that for future arcs to reveal. This does not mean that the series is necessarily boring in its early stage but the typical shounen would have much more happening in the early episodes/chapter to catch the reader’s/watcher’s attention. This is even more notable in the anime, since the episodes only cover these introductory arcs But once the story really kicks off, readers will get their fair share of action, including the classic explosions, seas of fire and sequences of hand to hand combat and much more.

4: The villains

Though this is also prominent in classic shounen, I still wanted to give it a mention. Some villains are complex and, at some parts, understandable in their actions and even likable despite some of the atrocities they commit. This sets them apart from other villains in the series that lack that certain amount of complexity and relatability. Like that, the villains with not much more to their character are easily more detestable than those with a certain reason to their actions. Still, that doesn’t make any of the horrible things better that both kinds of villains have done throughout the series.

Reue: I never had a family, so the Ark was the next best thing I had. Since they were my family, I thought I had no choice but to fight for them.

Reue: One eventful day, I found a child on the Surface. And I thought I'd raise him.

Reue: I did it in the spur of the moment, or so I'd say... But really, I was trying to make it up to all the lives I'd taken.  

Reue: The older Schau grew, the more I realized how little difference there was between people from the Ark and people from the Surface...

Reue: Yet I turned a blind eye to that revelation, despite all the  questions it sprang to my mind.

Reue: I was afraid of destroying the free, peaceful life I'd built for Schau and I...

Arme: You...

Reue: I'm the one who killed him. It's all my fault, for not seeing the  cruel fate that was being forced  on a child like you...

I actually loooove Kemono Jihen (I'm an anime only) and I wanted to show my love to this adorable squad 🥺

And also How Inugami Could wreck me and I'd thank him.

I'd like to create myself an oc and I couldn't decide which Kemono I should base her on until I realised... That it didn't had to be a japanese Kemono ! (Or I don't think so ?? Correct me if I'm wrong !) So I choose to make a mermaid !

I'll draw her as soon as I Can but here's a few things that happened when Inugami met my dear mermaid : Alma Ievanov !

Alma is now 28 and was born on March 11th in the Waters that are between Japan and Russia, deep in the North. Even if we can't really explain mermaids' origins, Alma looks a lot like the people from nothern east Asia.

Her skin is dark, her hair is thick, black and curly and her eyes are long, slim. The only thing that doesn't match with the typical nothern asian tribes is her eyes, that are deep and blue. She has a few tribal marks on her neck, collarbones and shoulders.

Alma is percieved as very beautiful, but also very singular. She isn't the typical japanese Beauty, with fair skin and shiny straight hair... But people are according on the fact that Alma is captivating.

Under her original form, Alma is 230cm, as a Human, she's 162cm !

As a mermaid, her powers results in creating illusion and spirit manipulation through her voice, shapeshifting and healing, mermaids' tears being famous for healing even the worst injuries and keeping the person who drinks them young and healthy.

Mermaids' powers aren't as effectives and useful in a fight as Shiki's or Kabane's, but they're making great supports and their powers Can Help the group to get informations, manipulate memories to prevent Kemonos from being on display, so unlike our trio, Alma stays behind and make sure to Help them by gaining informations and healing.

Despites her former fear for the Human race, Alma learned from them and realised that not all of them were Bad, leading to her joining the Inugami Office... But it took him long enough to achieve this :

When Alma was 14, she was captured and separated from her family by a wealthy japanese man named Tachibana. The first thing she saw from the Human World was a selfish man, who took her away from her family despite her cries from freedom and begging for mercy, which he neither listened nor understood, as she begged in russian.

After that, only a few minutes After that, she saw Tachibana killing his two accomplices and leaving their bodies drowning in the water as he was taking her away from everything she knew.

After that, Alma was kept captive in Tachibana's mansion, deep in Hokkaido, for Years. She lived in his mansion, swimming in a pool. What seems weird about it is that Tachibana was treating her with love : he was letting her eat, read, educating herself, which allowed her to get a lot of knowledges about the Human World, especially in History, art, languages...

But she knew that the day she said "no" to him, it was over for her. She tried. And it only brought her to get her hair pulled as she was Getting hit by Tachibana.

She tried to sing to enchant him... But it Never worked. Because she had the misfortune to fall on someone that neither felt love nor attraction to anybody but himself. It worked on everyone. On everyone but the person she needed.

And even if it did... What was the point ? She couldn't run. Or she didn't want to try, she was afraid that the second Tachibana realised that she could turn Into a Human, he would use her in the most disgusting ways. He already threaten to force himself on her mouth if she wasn't obedient enough.

She realised at 14 y.o. that she was trapped. She could only sing her sorrow and pain. And any person that was near the mansion could hear a voice so beautiful, yet so sad, so desperate, that They couldn't Help but cry. It was as if, in a small instant, the second they Heard that voice, They were feeling all the pain and sadness that Alma was experiencing for Years. It left them crying for hours, sometimes days...

A urban legend was born from Alma's voice : "The Melody of the sorrowed lovers", saying it was a woman that was waiting for her lover, Dead at War, to Come back to her. She would sing her pain, she would sing her sorrow, letting whoever Heard her voice share her feelings.

Tachibana did his best to hide Alma from everyone. After all, he Wouldn't give up on something that was allowing him to stay young and healthy. But that was What betrayed him.

A man being almost 50 can't keep on looking as if he was 30 without Getting suspicious. Especially when his wrinkles miraculously disappeared.

That sudden youth and the Sorrowed Lovers' legend were enough for a certain blond man to get curious and fly to Hokkaido to see for himself.

When it happened, Alma was 22. Already 8 Years had passed. 8 Years of fear, loniless and pain.

She got very curious when she Heard the window Getting break. When she looked, she saw a small animal that she Never saw before, near the pool. It was watching her quietly, sat down.

At first, Alma was very curious, but also excited : a New Friend ! She Never saw that animal before...

" Aren't you one cute boy... Did you get Lost ? I know How it feels : I got Lost too..."

At this Time, Alma was so desperate to have Anyone to talk to, besides Tachibana, that she could've talk to anything. Anyone. She just didn't want to be alone anymore :

" Well... I didn't got Lost... Tachibana brought me here but... I don't want to be here anymore. I wish I could go back to my family but... There's no point. They probably forgot me... "

When Inugami Heard that girl, that small woman, who was Getting detained here for Years... He couldn't Help but feel sad for her. No one deserves this.

" Where do you Come from, small furrball ? Me, I Come from Russia ! Well... I think I do ! I'm Alma Ievanov ! I'm a mermaid and- oh... Your paw... You're bleeding... Did you do it when you broke the window ?"

Ah. Shit. He didn't realised it. His paw was, Indeed, bleeding. It was the least of his concerns, knowing the fact that for the first Time of his life, he was seeing a mermaid. He couldn't Help but hide his eyes when he saw Alma sitting down on the edge of the pool, leading him to see the upper half of her naked body. And when he felt her take him and sit him on What he guessed was her knees, he apologised to every god he knew for unintentionally seeing the naked body of a woman who didn't want to show anything.

" Here... That's why Tachibana is keeping me. "

He saw her pick a tear that came from her eyes way too naturally. And the second her tear touched his wound... It was gone. Her powers could unfortunately lead to Kemonos' exposure if Tachibana every decided to make money from it. She couldn't stay here.

" Young girl... Don't Scream Please.

- Hm ? Animals aren't supposed to... Speak ?"

As she said those words, he jumped from her knees and... What's that light and... Oh... Oh gods !

Alma threw her hands on her mouth to prevent her screams of fear, as a man was now standing in front of her. She was terrified. She felt herself shaking as she looked him. Was he gonna hurt her...?

" I'm Inugami Kohachi. I'm not a human... "

She felt relieved. He wasn't going to hurt her.

" I'm a detective and I took interest in the story of the voice that made people cry everytime They Heard it. Turns out you have all the reason to cry.

- Are... Are you gonna hurt me too...?

- No. But I Can take you away. If you want me to-

- Please do ! Please do... I can't stay here anymore ! I'll do anything to escape that place... Please... Take me with you... Please... "

As she was begging him, for the first time, she felt herself crying... From Hope. From happiness.

" I'll need you to turn Into a Human. Can you do that ? "

Without asking questions, Alma did, too happy to finally escape to realise that her bare body was embarassing her savior. Well... She was pretty. But he'll cover her in his long coat.

" Can you walk ?

- Yes sir, I Can.

- Call me Inugami, that's fine.

- Yes Inugami.

- Let's escape by the window before that man Comes back. My car is parked near there. "

During the whole Time she was running to the car, Alma was so happy. She was outside. She was escaping. It seemed to good to be true. It must be a dream but... The leather of the car... The smell of his coat... The sounds of the road as he was driving :

" So... Alma... What do you want to do ?

- Me ?

- Yes. You. Do you want to go back to your family...? "

They probably forgot her.

" No... I don't know... I have nowhere to go now...

- Then... Do you wanna work with me ? It ain't much, but it's work.

- ... The way I helped Tachibana or...?

- No. You'll Help me to Help Other people like us.

- Other people like us... "

She looked by the window. Inugami was her savior... She wanted to Help him to do the same with Other people in need. She couldn't find back her family, but she could prevent this to happen to Other people.

" I'll work with you...

- Welcome to the Inugami detective office then, Alma. You're the first employee !"

It was the begining of a New life for Alma. And They Say that the cry that Tachibana left out when he saw Alma gone was Heard in the whole Hokkaido.

Since that day, six Years had passed. The Inugami Office gained New recruits : Mihai, Akira, then Shiki and finally... Kabane.

Alma has Never been so happy : she's useful. She's surrounded by people who care about her and she cares about.

And sometimes when Inugami and her look at each Other, They can't Help but heavily blush and look away, making them gain few reactions from the kids.

Akira hoping they'll confess. Shiki teasing them. Kabane asking her questions about love.

"Alma, why Inugami ?

- Ah... Well... Sometimes... Meeting a person opens you to a whole New World. I think that's him to me."

She was happy. She was so happy.

Kabaneri AU x BNHA

Okay guys, I watched this interesting, cool anime with 12 episodes only - Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress and honestly how could I not think about an AU with one of my favourite animes.

If you didn’t watch it - what are you doing…?! Quickly go and watch it.

The world building and the story goes like:

So a strange virus appears out of nowhere that transforms the infected humans into Kabane (which means basically corpse) and rapidly spreads. Kabane are aggressive, walking dead creatures that cannot be defeated easily because the heart of Kabane is protected by a layer of iron, pierced, or an important body part is completely severed. Also their veins, eyes and heart glows(which makes them even cooler but sadly - scary) Again, sadly, most melee weapons as steam-pressure guns used by the police(kinda off) in this world are not very effective against them, because they’re protected by the iron cage around their heart and veins. Almost forgot to include how powerful Kabane are. Like seriously, those zombies are amazing, I love their creator tbh. + the action is gold

Part of the humanity living on impontant island(the only place in the story with big role tho, like there are not other continents mentioned, only that the Kabane runned over the world), people have built fortress-like “stations” to shelter themselves from these walking scary(yet cool) zombies. People access the stations and transport wares between them with the help of fortified steam locomotives and stuff like that trying to survive (nicely). One day, a locomotive basically drived(unintentionally I swear) by the Kabane crashes into the impontant Station(where our heroes rise up like revolutionaries) and they overrun the city. A young engineer called Ikoma(the mad fucker with cool skill to use his head like not so many characters did in other stories™) uses the opportunity to test with success his anti-Kabane weapon, the “piercing gun” it was called, but is infected in the process, although he manages to resist the virus and become a Kabaneri [half-zombie but with human mind and yeaaaah that’s cool] (also because using his head), a human-Kabane hybrid. And there the story begins. I’ll put a picture with the cool zombies because I need you to watch it - the fandom is too small!

Just look at them - I love it.

Anyway, know to the BNHA AU(if you didn’t watch it it’s ok, I hope I explain well so you can insight in the story)

Izuku Midoriya - Lives in the UA station, loses his father to the corpses at young age when they break in UA sensing too many people on one place(UA is the smallest station tho, but when there's blood there are corpses drawn by it). He had to kill his own father before he turns into corpse and start eating humans. He could not take it to see his father like this and do it.

He and Hisashi both loses Inko in the panicked crowd, she safely takes on one of the locomotives, worryingly sick about her kid and husband. They are separated for months.

Izuku is saved in the last minutes by passing All Might, who couldn’t help but take the broken, brave child to the last locomotive.

Izuku suffers so much he starts to seek information about the Kabane to find a way to cure them or to stop the virus. Which sadly takes him to being bitten while the locomotive is taking a stop about fuel or provisions. With his knowledge from his researches and All Might he successfully controls the virus and becomes Kabaneri(half-corpse with his mind clear as day)

He later find out All Might is Kabaneri too, and that he had secrets. That he knows all of the searches Izuku had made, all that info he shared - AM already knows. This knew makes him feel betrayed. While AM was amazed by how a kid could found out the truth without using horrible methods to do so or with other people working for years.

AM kinda adopts Izu after freckled boy forgives him but only after AM shares everything with him, what he know about the Kabane and Kabaneri.

(I may write it someday… but rn I’m lazy) this is part 1. I’ll do maybe more. Hope this got you interested in the anime because is awesome and the action is satisfying!!!!
