BETRAYAL

an abridged post about how the betrayal theme applies to all my muses on this blog. pt. 1

archex. everything he's ever believed in has been a lie. the man who saved him from the hardship and starvation of being an orphan was not who he seemed. there is nothing worse than finding out that someone who he's viewed as a father was the most vile beast imaginable. that's almost as bad as finding out the organization he's pledged his life to is empowering and honorless killer. the realization is painful. they've made him into a weapon for a cruel cause. choosing to rebel was not a clear path but it's the one he has to take. facing death is less frightening when you don't feel like you have anything left to live for.

mitaka. he betrayed the person he was raised to be loyal to and destroys a thirty year friendship to leak information to the resistance. what choice does he have when everything he believed in turns out to be corrupted? how long can someone watch a smart, curious little boy, that was nearly family to them, grow into a monster? doubts were sewn in his head when grand admiral sloane died and the first order took a downward turn. kylo ren's reign is the catalyst for mitaka to take action.

phasma. killing brendol formed the pact between her and the younger hux. together they have killed others to rise inside the first order. but loyalty means nothing to phasma. she chooses herself before anyone else. her own survival is her biggest concern. when her life was at risk, phasma shut down the starkiller base shields. she hunted down the only person in the first order who knew about her betrayal and killed him. she told hux that she's eliminated the traitor and continued without guilt.
