Actually yes please let's all enter the era of people seeing the root of why Rocket and other yakuza exist, instead of just turning them into the boogeymen that need to be beat up. Trimming a tree is useless if the roots are what's causing the illness. They're human beings. Treat them as such.

Once upon a time I roleplayed on Facebook because that was a thing that could be done before Mark Zuckerberg decided to turn it into a dictatorship. That's actually where I first wrote Proton in 2011. It was a long suffering era. I never want to see people make fun of late Gen Z of Gen Alpha on this website or on TikTok, because I was a Millennial in the LOL RANDOM XD era of the internet and we were truly the worst. I'm so glad we're past that. I'm so glad people don't ship the executives with Gold and Lyra anymore because that was 100% normal and accepted back then, because people would either age up the protags, or interpret the executives as 18 year olds. Which was wild.
But anyway, the whole reason the glitch stuff happened with me, was because my group then went forward and had a FB group for trading and battling on B/W and XY/ORAS later down the line. And I had shit internet. So I was always dropping group calls or lagging. Or if I was trying to trade or battle with someone, my shit internet would disconnect me. Or, there was also the time I fucked up using a Powersaves device to mess around with my game, and completely dumped the file into the void. So the joke "fuck missingno got Proton again" became a reoccurring thing.
And now we're here.

Genuinely the funniest part about all the glitches in RBY, is that you don't need to use a Gameshark or any sort of cheating device to access ANY OF THEM. You just need to know how to manipulate the data with in-game actions. These games really were held together with thoughts and prayers.
