Calina has been on the run for 1693 years, never staying in one place long out of fear that Raphail will find her. She knows who Zelek is and has made the assumption that he’s her son, since she’s tracked his history as best she could and they have the same colouring (plus the name she gave him). She keeps an eye on him from a distance, never getting too close out of fear that she’ll either be rejected for abandoning him to his tribe or that she’ll stay too long and Raphail will find them both.

Calina is a very kind hearted and caring person, she is always trying to do her best to be a good person but she has done some terrible things out of survival. Raphail has not once stopped hunting her, at this stage it’s not so much the fact he views her as his property (though that is still a factor) but that he is pissed off at the fact she has managed to evade him for so long.
