       the brothers:  they hadn’t celebrated a holiday in what felt like a lifetime. he didn’t know what his dongsaeng was up to tonight; though roo sent him a voice message, nonetheless. secretly treating himself to a decent used car after all the hard work he’d done; he was in the process of getting ready to leave his house all bundled up because of the insanely cold weather. “bro, get ready ’cause you are coming over and spending the night. we’re not spending the holidays alone.” his finger lifted up, and with a whoosh! sound, it sends itself instantly. yes, mireu has had a busy schedule, and during that time, he’d worked endlessly to have a room decorated ( and furnished, of course ) for his younger brother — a surprise he’d been working on since they met. well, the idea hadn’t occurred to him until much later, but he knew it was going to be worth the wait. whether he’d be over a lot or not would be entirely up to seokmin. hell, it could even be his home, too.

      he was undoubtedly anxious and nervous. how could he not be? he’d been working on this home project for a long period, and finally, it was finished. it’d been for a while, but it needed more TENDER, LOVE, AND CARE. he did not leave maeum out either! and boy, what roo had in store for the both of them, all the man could hope for was that it would be a success in the end — their fur babies (pets) included.

location & when: lightning griffin tattoos, the night before june 11th.

it had been a while since mireu’s last tattoo, and he had the bright idea of getting inked, having a design at the top of his head. he stood outside for some time—10 minutes—nervous about his decision, knowing tattoos were one hundred percent permanent. mireu stepped inside the place, and a sigh escaped from him as if he just arrived at a sanctuary, and there was a ding! it was letting them know that a new client was coming in through the threshold. he didn’t know what it was... but he didn’t feel uneasy anymore, knowing he was at the right place.

he couldn’t recall the last time he’d met with his cousin cyrek. mireu had blocked a huge portion of his life after the tragic demise of his parents, thoroughly refusing to coexist with just about everyone who’d arrived to give their condolences. he turned into a completely different person, wasn’t the happy-go-lucky mireu that everyone once knew. he distanced himself to the extent of moving to south korea altogether, arranging to live with his grandparents.

realizing that his cousin lived in anchorage, it took him a little too long to finally settle in the quaint little town. mireu was getting tired of feeling lonely, so why did he block the people closest to him? out of the blue, he sends his cousin a quick message:

MIREU: cuz, what’s your address?

to be fair, he wasn’t expecting an answer nor was he expecting to be welcomed into his home. after all, he must be a busy guy — doing god knows what — mireu had no intention of being a pest to his day’s plans. he hadn’t spoken to his cousin for years, but why was he nervous about having sent cyrek a text. stop feeling this way, mireu. all he could do was wait for the time being.
