彼らにとって寂しさは

4月に入ったが未だ忙しさは感じない。だが最近、特にこの1週間は新歓に追われていた。不甲斐ない結果に終わった去年を取り戻し、存続の危機を脱するための最適解を見つけるべく奔走していた。結果に現れるのはもう少し先だろうか。我々にとっても我々との生活を選んだ若人にとっても、互いに幸せになれる道であることを切に願う。

坂本龍一の死が公表された。もう散々嘆かれたことであるだろうが、今年は音楽界にとって失うものの多い年である。

このページの名前は下手な洒落だがかなり満足している。日記を書くことはセラピーだと常々述べてきたが、未だ心の置き所が掴めぬのはきっと死だけが原因ではない。

2023/04/07

雨が続く中ビラ配りをするため学校へ向かう。ここ数日熱心に取り組んではいたが前日に女子が6人も見学に来たこともあり、我々の望む我々のあるべき姿とは我々が努力すればするほど乖離していくような気持ち悪さをひしひしと感じ、自分の中の熱が冷めていくのを意識せざる得なくなった。そうは言いつつ雨の中他サークルの視察をし生協まで向かい目的を果たした。

ガストで昼食。その後ホールで楽器を弾くなどを経て歩いてROSSOへ向かうことにした。雨は止んでいて気分は良かった。ROSSOのマスターは俺のことを覚えてくれているのかいないのかよくわからない。店内にはQueenが流れており、みいともきには「さてい君はアルバムの中でも"いい曲"を選ぶのが上手い」と珍しく褒められた。きっとこれからも憶えているだろう。ホールに帰りSmithsの練習をする。まぁまぁだったので早めに切り上げて彼らのキリンジの練習に付き合う。ホールの鍵を返却し解散。

研究室に向かうと放送部の面々。(無学のため言葉を選ばずに言えば)性別があやふやな後輩に気を払う。室内に入り皆ESと睨めっこしている級友たちを横目に履修登録を済ませる。

日付が変わる前に帰宅。Twitterを見れば空想委員会の三浦委員長の訃報が流れてきた。茫然自失。言葉を失ってしまった。あのバンドを知って10年、まさかこんな形で別れを告げるのか。苦しい。悔しさで胸を詰まらせながら彼らの楽曲を聴いていたが、会社の飲み会で潰された恋人からの着信に水を注されてしまった。2時間ほど相手をして床に着く。どうしても今日のことを留めておきたくて日記を書く。

「彼ら」が誰を指しているのかは未だにわからない。
