Tap Dancers in Boater Hats, Bow Ties, and Dancing Canes
Does this manga chapter of Honey Honey no Suteki na Bouken have to do with Broadway dancing, jazz dancing, tap dancing, or none of the above? Your call.

This is the full-color image on the back of my edition of the first volume of the manga for Honey Honey’s Great Adventure (ハニーハニーのすてきな冒険). That cat is everything to me.

I realized after making my post about the final chapter of Super Mimiko (スーパー・ミミ子), I realized I have two more things to do with that series. First, as I mentioned, I want to post some of the full-color cover images, and, second, I have to figure out what words Suzuki-san (鈴木さん) used that are now considered offensive such that the publishers felt the need to include a disclaimer at the end of the reprinted volume.
Anyway, that’s all for the future. For now, the book I brought to entertain me on this work trip I’m on is the first volume of Honey Honey’s Great Adventure (ハニーハニーのすてきな冒険) by Hideki Mizuno (水野英子). Many magical girl fans may recognize the creator’s surname (pseudonym?) as being the same as Sailor Mercury’s surname in Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon (美少女戦士セーラームーン). Anyway, Honey Honey is not a magical girl manga. I don’t think there are any magical elements, although I have never read it so we’ll see. Still, I’m interested in it as a magical girl-adjacent story centering on a young girl protagonist having fantastic adventures, and, from what I understand, it had a major influence on shoujo manga overall, including the magical girl genre.
Pictured is the cover of the edition I have.
