Original description of the pictures (translation by me):

蚕娘拾茧盈筐归。 南宋偏髻+日常劳作装尝试 ————————————————— 发型和服装参考《骷髅幻戏图》及梁楷的《耕织图卷》。《耕织图卷中》可以看到女性都穿着这样一条仅合围的裙子，很像江南的作裙，似乎有些是百迭形态有些则是褶裙形态，裙长从七八分到脚面不等，开衩有在背面，也有在侧面。在南宋的其他作品中也能看到类似的装束。 画作中实在看不清偏髻的梳法，暂且采取了和永宁寺女俑及苗族近似发髻一样的梳法，不过由于用的假发片比较厚，实际效果看起来不大一样

An attempt on Southern Song Dynasty side bun + daily labour costume  ----------------- -----------------

The references for the hairstyle and costume are [Li Song’s] Skeleton Fantasy Show and Liang Kai's the Scroll of Painting and Weaving. The women in the the Scroll of Painting and Weaving are seen wearing a skirt that only encircled the waist [not long enough to overlap each other], much like a zuoqun from Jiangnan [a type of unisex work apron found], which some seem to be in the form of a baidiequn [pleated skirt but with the end of the skirt unpleated] and others in the form of a fully pleated skirt, ranging in length from the calf to the top of the foot, and opening either on the back or on the side. Similar attire can be seen in other works of the Southern Song dynasty.   

It is difficult to see how the Piānjì/side bun was worn in the painting, so for the time being I worn it in the same way as the buns fround on the female figurines from the Yongning Temple and the Miao's, which are similar to pianji. The actual effect, however, looks different due to the used of thicker pieces of hair extension.
