The story idea was great, I hate how they did it. The ending was both unfulfilling and made me rage.
Telling my ex, (who has no interest in BL at all but has suffered through all my rants about it bravely), that I was reading BL with magical girl transformations was hilarious.
But Chiwoo was so in love, and then Hwon turns to to be behind all these awful things and nothing happens about it???
(Can I put a footnote of kudos in here for well-made mermaid smut?)
But I ultimately hated how Hwon got to remember all the awful stuff he'd done, but Chiwoo had no idea how he'd been treated. I feel like quite a few therapists out there would have some opinions.
When they first introduced Hwon I thought he was really attractive. Then they introduced Jin and holy fuck. I prefer Jin over Hwon in every way.
I was so mad at Hwon for erasing him. And seeing Chiwoo having to deal with no one remembering Jin was heartbreaking.
If you can deal with the warnings then do read it, just be prepared I guess. Maybe it'll make you as mad as it made me.
