킹슬레이어의 고백

J:You all despise me. Kingslayer.Oathbreaker.A man without honor. 다들 날 경멸하지.왕시해자,서약을 어긴 자,명예가 없는 자.

J:You've heard of wildfire? 지옥기름 아나?

B:Of course. 당연히 알지.

J:The Mad King was obsessed with it. 미친왕은 지옥기름에 미쳐있었지.

J:Finally,the day of reckoning came. 결국,파멸의 날이 다가왔어.

J:Robert Baratheon marched on the capital after his victory at the Trident. 로버트 바라티온이 트라이덴트에서 승리하고 수도로 진군했지.

난 미친왕에게 수없이 말했어,평화적으로 투항하자 했어.

J:"You can trust the Lannisters," he said."The Lannisters have always been true friends of the crown."So we opened the gates and my father sacked the city. 라니스터는 믿을 수 있다고 했지.라니스터는 늘 왕실의 진정한 동반자였다고.그래서 도시 문을 열었고 아버님은 도시를장악해버렸지.

J:Once again, I came to the king, begging him to surrender. 난 재차 왕에게 가서 투항하라 애원했어.

J:He told me to...bring him my father's head.Then he...turned to his pyromancer."Burn them all," he said.

"Burn them in their homes.Burn them in their beds." 왕이 하는 말이...아버님의 머리를 가져오라더군.그러더니.. 화염술사에게 말했어,"모조리 태워버려라

놈둘의 집을 모조리 태워라.놈들의 침대도 모조리 태워라."

J:Tell me, if your precious Renly commanded you to kill your own father and stand by while thousands of men,women, and children burned alive,would you have done it? 자네가 그렇게 좋아라 하는 렌리가 자네더러 아버지를 죽이고 수천명의 백성들을 여자와 아이까지 산채로 태워죽이라 하면 할 수 있겠나?

Would you have kept your oath then? 그래도 서약을 지킬건가?

J:First, I killed the pyromancer.And then when the king turned to flee,I drove my sword into his back. 난 먼저 화염술사를 죽였어.다음엔 왕이 도망가려 할 때 등에 내칼을 박았지

"Burn them all," he kept saying. "Burn them all." 왕은 계속 말하길 모조리 불태우라고 했어,모조리 불태우라고

J:I don't think he expected to die.He-- he meant to...burn with the rest of us and rise again,reborn as a dragon to turn his enemies to ash. 왕은 자기가 죽을거라 생각 안 했을거야.왕은 아마 다 같이 불타버린 다음에 다시 부활해서 용으로 다시 태어나 적들을 잿더미로 만들 줄 알았던거지.

J:I slit his throat to make sure that didn't happen.That's where Ned Stark found me. 행여 그런 일이 있을까봐 내가 목을 그어버렸지.그때 네드스타크가 날 발견했어.

B:If this is true...why didn't you tell anyone?Why didn't you tell Lord Stark? 그게 사실이라면...왜 아무에게도 말 안했소?왜 스타크 공에게 말 안했소?

J:Stark? 스타크?
