“mornin’ chief.” she dropped the tray containing the last takeout cup of coffee that she picked up from the diner, though the coffee here at the department is decent, there was just something about diner coffee that hits different. “you’re lookin’ bright and chipper this fine mornin’.” 

“abit quiet this time around.” which was different compared to her old department back in californina. she misses the action there sometimes, but it was nice workin’ here in hawkins too. plus, she’s around her niece more often.
