@emeraldsheโโโโ โกโd for a starter (no longer accepting) !
it was no secret that erin stuck out like a sore thumb. everyone knew that she wasnโt the true daughter of hank and camille, that sheโd really been thrust upon them, taken pity on, and raised in the voight family. but as with far too many things, the details were kept behind closed doors, and instead erin just had to deal with the looks, the sympathetic glances, the judgemental expressions, that came with being in attendance at such an event.ย โdo you think weโd be missed if we went out to get some air?โ

โwe have to leave.โ sandy grabbed the otherโs hand as she walked through the hall, moving with haste.ย โi think i might accidentally spoiled something that hasnโt happened yet because i forgot what year this was.โ she turned, eyes scanning her face.ย โwhy are you looking at me like that? we need to go โโย whereโs the tardis?โ

@emeraldsheโโโ : โ ย iโm damned if i do give a damn what people say. ย โ
erin couldnโt help but chuckle, trust eloise to come out with such a statement. the fact that she was so headstrong was part of the appeal of spending time with her. why they were friends, despite their polar opposite upbringings. โperhaps youโre right. although Iโm not sure how iโd feel about other people saying bad things about me. what if they got back to our guardians? what if they were untrue, thatโs even worse!?โ

an outsider already, eloiseโs words made her feel that little bit more unwanted, out of place, like she ought to go back to the side of town and life sheโd come from before. and yet, there was a part of her that was compelled to stay, even just to make sure that she was a fine as she seemed to want her to believe.ย โsometimes being alone isnโt the right thing to do.โ erin knew that as good as anyone.ย โsometimes, itโs about the people who stay, not the people who let you stray.โ
