THE YOUNG MAN WAS CORRECT - HE HAD BEEN QUIET. As was his nature whenever he was seeking to ponder, his normally bubbly, chatty  persona was rendered completely mute. Still, it was never personal - but @meaningful-negativity​ wasn’t meant to know that, was he?

FOCUSED EYES FOUND THEMSELVES DARTING IN THOMAS’ DIRECTION. Finger pressed against his temple, he spoke.

❝ Oh - just allowing myself to wander alongside my thoughts, dear chap...though, what that gentleman said did interest me, about those footprints he found. Yes, I wonder... ❞

THE FROWN ON HIS LIPS WAS INDICATIVE OF HIS IRKED MOOD. Indeed, he kept his gaze firmly on @doctornineteen​ as he gestured to the tin of sugar on the table next to them.

THE EXPRESSION HE GAVE THE YOUNG WOMAN WAS ONE THAT WAS EVENTUALLY ACCOMPANIED WITH A KNOWING SMIRK. After a moment’s pause, he stepped forward, taking @annelistre​​‘s hand in both his own and offering it an enthusiastic shake.
