why don't you teach the person arabic or ask them to get them a book or something to learn? a lot of people use duolingo now a days i'm not sure if it's on there tho, but worth a check! i bet they'd be willing to learn especially if it's so important to you!

Trueee i think that if i were put in the situation again then i'd let my partner learn arabic and i'd defo learn their native language but alsooo learning a language takes years and an insane amount of effort. it would also be much more practical to speak a shared language to express more complex thoughts because they require more advanced shared vocabulary. so this will make it harder again unless the insane dedication is present 😭
