Halloween Headcanon

The Kingdom of Acorn celebrates Halloween, another way that United Federation culture has rubbed of on Acorn culture.

For generations, the Acorn family has host a child-friendly halloween event. Sally and Elias, currently, can be seen welcoming trick-or-treaters. Almost everyone within Castle Acorn will be in costume.

Ana goes trick-or-treating with Saffron while Julie stays behind, watching silent black-and-white horror movies and to respond to any trick-or-treaters that come by. Julie hands out small bags of halloween-themed cookies that Ana made prior to going out.

While Bunnie responds to trick-or-treaters in costume, Antoine locks himself away, waiting for Halloween to be over. Too spooky for him.

Headcanon

//In the Kingdom of Acorn, instead of Christmas, most Mobians celebrate the Winter Acorn Festival. This holiday was marked to celebrate to dethroning of King Leer and Mobotropolis’ foundation, mentioned here. While it wasn’t like this at first, the WAF has become more christmas-themed over the years. This is because of the United Federation’s indirect influence, who do celebrate Christmas. The Christmas traditions they had became apart of the WAF.

//The one thing that aggravates me is how I have had to build new backstories for both Julie and Saffron.

//Julie's canon backstory is that she is the youngest daughter of Luger and his second wife, who's name is legitimately Mari-Su (Mary Sue), who later was killed, but it was labeled a freak accident. Luger, just like his twin children from his first marriage, are descendants of Dimitri, brother of Edmund, who himself is the ancestor of Knuckles, making him and Julie distant cousins. Not that Julie would know, of course, because Luger's twin children, Kragok and Lien-Da conspired to assassinate him and erased Julie's memory of her birth parents.

//She was placed into foster care with Simon, who was Luger's right hand, and his wife, Floren-Ca. Simon had his suspicions in the twin's involvement with Luger's demise and eventually, Julie was taken from them and her memory was erased for a second time. She joined the Dark Legion a second time with no memory of her life before. The only thing I really kept from the original backstory is Simon and Floren-Ca (now just Floral) but I made them Julie's birth parents. She is now in no way related to Knuckles.

//As for Saffron, the only thing that was known is that she was born in the Golden Hive Colony as Charmy's betrothed. And almost all of her personality was about Charmy, even though they're supposed to be 6. The only thing I kept is the fact that she was born within the Golden Hive Colony, which has since fallen. The rest is of my own creation (abandoned in Knothole, raised by both Rosie and Ana, etc.)
