Anti shippers being like "um excuse me you're catering to child predators" make zero sense to me, because like. When you blame the "evil, corrupt" fan fiction for "creating and enabling" sexual predators, you're shifting the blame off of the predators for preying on and harming children and onto some rando who had nothing to with it. Like, okay. If someone got killed with a kitchen knife, we don't blame the manufacturers of the knife for the death. The purpose of the knife is culinary and it's not the manufacturers' fault if someone uses their shit in an unintended way.

And like. As a CSA survivor, anti shippers have done so much more harm to me and other CSA survivors than proshippers have. Antis will tell me that I deserved my abuse because I don't agree with them, they'll tell me it should happen again and that they hope I take my life. But yeah, sure, tell me again about how antis care about me.

y'all will never catch me detailing specific things about the nasty shit I've gone through, but I will say as someone who's had very bad things done to them with the addition of using fictitious stories to justify why it was being done to me, it's so deeply insulting. And those ficticious stories many would say are some of the most non offensive and innocent things out there. but they're stories. and the stories aren't responsible for any suffering I face. And I would never find peace with my circumstances if I didn't accept that. And it sure as hell wouldn't undo the damage done to me by vilifying complete strangers for what someone else did to me.

*rubs my hands together like an evil fly* 🪰 BIG mistake gideon! I'm about to be sooo annoying! 😈 Ranting and raving below. Also, spoilers for Utopia, but it's a 12 year old show sooo 🤷‍♀️

SO, the gist of Lee's character is that he's a hitman who works for a shady organization known as The Network. He only shows up for one episode in Series 1. (There's a brief flashback scene of him in episode two of Series 1, but he's "killed" at the end of episode one.) He has a hitman partner called Arby and the dynamic between the two of them is really interesting. (All of the relationship dynamics throughout Utopia are interesting tbh but I'd give anything for a mini spin-off of Lee and Arby and their partnership or if Series 3 had been made just a couple flashback scenes of them working together.) They both have their own vices, Arby is shown with a little box of chocolate raisins that he's constantly eating, Lee is shown to have a smoking addiction. His need for a cigarette 24/7 is actually his downfall multiple times throughout episode one. He nearly blows Arby and himself up because he almost lights up a cigarette near an open gas main, he gives away their position to another character they're after because Arby has to roll down the window of their car since Lee has filled it up with smoke thanks to his smoking, and lastly he gets himself "killed" at the end of the episode because he leaves his gun next to Wilson, the guy he just tortured for information, to go have a smoke. So it's no surprise that Arby would hate Lee's smoking considering how careless he can become because of it. Also, cigarettes stink, and personally, their smell gives me a headache, so I completely understand why Arby doesn't like it lmao. The commentary for Series 1 talks about them a little bit. It's not much, but it's something.

Arby and Lee have obviously been working with each other a long time, and I think Lee has some sort of respect (?) for or just general enjoyment working with Arby, maybe simply because they work so well together.

In Series 2, surprise, surprise Lee is actually not dead, and he's in more than one episode. Yay! He is partially paralyzed (his left arm) because the bullet hit his lung. While he never outright says it, he's bitter about the whole thing. There's actually a wonderful deleted scene that visually shows us this very well. In the scene he puts away his electric cigarette, which he had to switch to after being shot in the lung, and takes out a real cigarette simply to put it in his mouth and then stare at himself in a mirror (a fractured mirror at that) as he tries to push his paralyzed arm down to his side, it's obvious he hates how changed and different he is and wants to go back to his original self. He blames Wilson for his partial paralysis which yes Wilson did shoot him, but as Wilson says, "So we're even then." which in a fucked up way is true because it was 100% deserved lmao even if Lee doesn't think so. I didn't mention, but Wilson later on in the show ends up working for The Network and ends up partnered with Lee, which is a horrible decision on The Network's part btw because of their history. (Lee torturing Wilson and blinding him in one eye and Wilson shooting Lee and partially paralyzing him.) BUT anyways Lee's bitterness towards Wilson blinds him (pun intended) to the fact Wilson is not the same person he once was which gets Lee killed. I could dive into their dynamic as well, but I won't (for now) for the sake of how long this already is.

There are little details about and things Lee does that make me want to dissect him like a bug. There's a detail about his suit that I don't even know if it was intentional or not, but during Series 1 the collar of his suit is buttoned to the top while during Series 2 the top button isn't buttoned which gives the suit collar a more disheveled appearance. There's a scene where you can see Lee in the background messing around with hung pictures and straightening them. He also eats a chocolate raisin off the ground. He's a weirdo.

Also, apparently, he's around 25-26. I thought he was in his 30s when I watched Utopia (around the age of his actor at the time). But no. Killing people when he should've been at the club smh.

Btw his actor actually has really curly hair, so styling his hair that way must be a pain in the ass daily.

I haven't even been talking about my ship with him, just yapping about him the entire time 😂 but I have considered multiple ideas for my ship with him. My self insert meeting him before Series 1, my self insert meeting him after Series 2, how that would influence their relationship. Also, an AU where my self insert is a hitwoman for The Network and ends up partnered with Lee. (Coworkers to Lovers, anyone?) But either way, this is a freak4freak relationship, and they are equally insane for each other, a sort of "do not separate" for long periods of time or bad things may happen. The height difference between this ship is great because there isn't one👍This man is 5'9, I am 5'8. We give off the "pencil thin bf and chubby gf" dynamic tbh. I could pick him up. I refuse to believe otherwise. (I would drop him immediately 😔) I need to wrap him up in a warm blanket and tackle him to the ground. This post is already sooo long, sorry! Ciao for now!

there is literally no excuse at this point with how up front and honest (not to mention DETAILED) about my stances on fiction. This is why I think most antis don't actually believe in the bullshit they spew out of their mouths because if they considered me to be someone who is genuinely unacceptable to civilized society then they would refuse to even dignify me with their attention and, in this case, support. You cannot say you "don't fuck with proshippers" and then continue to spread posts I make around. because you DO give me an audience by doing that. This is not a new or complicated thing y'all just like pretending you're good people instead of actually doing the work that's required to be an actual good person ✌
