Little facts about my FHFIF sona, Betty Bye!

🌟 Glows in the dark.

🌟 Her creator grew up to become an astronaut.

🌟 Favorite movie is Astro Slam, mostly for the space stuff in it.

🌟 When she’s not hanging out with the gang, she’s napping.

🌟 Can’t play sports to save her life.

🌟 Surprisingly enjoys Bloo’s company and sees him as a younger sibling.

🌟 Very monotone.

🌟 Helps out Frankie in the nursery by putting the baby imaginary friends to sleep.

I don’t remember if I mentioned this here before, but like back when Foster’s was first airing and I was in elementary school, me and the other students in my class had free time one day and we all just sat around drawing out our imaginary friends ocs and honestly that was probably one of my favorite childhood memories.

I wish I was more brave about reblogging fanart and tagging posts of characters who are my f/os on this blog, but unless it’s from mutuals I know and are comfortable with self ship blogs interacting with them, I just can’t share fanart or tag the shows.

Okay so I hope to draw Nordic Bunny and Lovestruck’s first meeting out in a little comic or something, but I’m away from my tablet right now so I’m writing it out incase I forget.

Lovestruck is basically the daughter of one of the rock gods who lives on Earth to escape her duties. Growing up she looked up to her dad, wanting to be a powerful musician and help aid in protecting the planet like him and the other rock heroes after him. As a kid she sometimes would tag along with the heroes, having to get pulled out of trouble due to her eagerness to learn from them. For most of her youth she studied and trained to become a hero, making her almost obsessed with the task. It wasn’t until as a young adult she started fighting her own battles (almost begging for them at first) to finally put all her training to work, until eventually crossing paths with Nordic Bunny.

Right away she was smitten with him, causing their fights to become heated and almost flirtatious. They both knew their feelings kept getting in the way of their battles, almost shyly avoiding each other when confronted in groups. Eventually the two started to meet in secret, Nordic Bunny using it as a excuse to not only try to get her to switch sides, but also to get closer to her, while Lovestruck keep telling herself that she was only seeing him to learn his weaknesses. But the pair were secretly in love with each other, and it troubled them both. Their battles soon became more intense, trying to deny their feelings to others and to themselves because of it. It got to the point were Lovestruck had Nordic Bunny cornered one day in battle, almost giving the finale blow before breaking her guitar and running away to Earth, banishing herself. A few years later, Nordic Bunny would use his attacks on Earth as an excuse to see her, causing her to fight with him, much to the annoyance of the Shred Force.

As much as I want to make my He Man self insert some fantasy/badass character, I also like the idea that she’s a human who got transported there by accident and just fumbling through Eternia with these musclebound folks and constantly has to be saved.

Please be kinder to yourself with your self ships and self inserts. Please know that your creations of either drawings, writings or anything in between is precious. I know it can be scary to share and post sometimes. I know the fear of others finding your work cringy can be daunting. But what you create is beautiful. The fact alone that you see these fictional characters and want to be apart of their stories and share your love for them is a wonderful thing. No matter if it for fun or coping, your self ships are special. Your self inserts are a form of self love, embrace that feeling of being gentle with yourself when it comes to it. You don’t owe anyone a reason to why these characters are special to you, only that they bring you joy and comfort.
