♡ yamaguchi t. — messages you good morning and good night without fail. if you thought that he’ll only do it on the first few months of dating, you were wrong because he’s fully committed to do it until he couldn’t anymore. and in the rare occasions where he couldn’t, he’ll do it in person with a whispered “good morning” or “good night” on your lips after a kiss. will get upset if he couldn’t do it through messages or in person and you’ll have to remind him that it’s totally okay for him not to greet you every morning or night but he won’t stand for it.

♡ tanaka r. — always knows when you’re feeling down even if he’s miles away, it’s like he has a sensor for when you’re upset. it’s so endearing like one second he’s away and then the next he’ll be busting down the door demanding who made you this upset and who he should beat up. please calm him down before he gets in any trouble! on the other hand he’ll hate to see you sad and will do everything in his power to make you happy.

♡ matsukawa i. — kisses you first thing in the morning even if you protest by saying you have the worst morning breath. he will not care and he will get his morning kisses one way or another. his day won’t be complete without feeling your lips smiling against his, ending up in lighthearted laughter and tickling each other in bed until you just lazily lie in bed for hours until it’s finally time to get up. gets real cuddly in the morning, demanding you to stay for five more minutes wrapped in his arms although you both know it will last longer than that but it’s worth it.

♡ hanamaki t. — never leaves your side at a party or any social gatherings. will just hover close by, a hand on your lower back, waist, or around your shoulder as he talks to the guest. will nod along to your stories and will offer a few insights of his own. it's reassuring to have him by your side if you're someone who's not fond of crowds, will hold your hand as a way of saying “i'm here for you” and will not hesitate to take you out of there, just say the word. and if you do get separated at a party, you will always find each other whether on purpose or unconsciously like two magnets, always finding your way to one another.

♡ ushijima w. — he has his silent ways of protecting you. when the two of you walk on the street, he will be holding your hand while he walks on the part of the sidewalk where you're not near the road. will put his arm around your shoulder and will stare down anyone who would look at you weirdly in public. if you fell asleep on his shoulder, he will protect your head with one gentle hand so it wouldn't fall forward. he will always carry essentials for you – medicine, hairties, extra money, tissues, etc. you name it, he has it. he cares about your safety and comfort more than anything.

♡ konoha a. — appreciates you babying him after a long day at work. expect to give cuddles, kisses and back rubs as soon as he flops himself on top of you like lifeless lump. absolutely loves it when he lays his head on your lap and you run your hands through his blond hair or massage his temples if he has a headache. he will plant a kiss on your inner wrist, palm, the back of your hand and fingertips if your hand even comes close to his lips. he will turn into a putty in your hand if you hold his face, he will feel so loved he would want to stay there forever. he will pepper you with praise and compliments while pampering him, and you should also expect the same treatment and more once he's recharged.

♡ yaku m. — physical touch is his major love language. he wouldn't last a day without touching you even with the tips of his fingers. more often than not, you'll find yourself in his embrace – making you feel safe and warm. he likes to rub your arms up and down in a soothing manner and usually does this to help you fall asleep. he's the type to bring your head closer to the crook of his neck when you hug and will kiss your temple, his lips lingering there for a moment. his touches are comforting and not at all in an uncomfortable, overbearing manner. if you want space, he will gladly respect it and will wait for you once you're ready for his affection.

♡ lev h. — will carry your bags, groceries, shoes, whatever it is, lev will be happy to help you carry it. and he will do so by carrying it with one hand and holding yours with the other. he claims you shouldn't be carrying heavy stuff when you have him to do it for you. a true gentleman that will make you think that chivalry isn't really dead – will open car doors for you, pulls your seat out from the table for you to sit on, drapes his jacket or coat over your shoulder if he so much as saw a slight shiver, greets you by kissing the back of your hand every time you see each other, he's so cheesy it hurts.

♡ kyotani k. — he's possessive of you, can you blame him? you're literally the best thing that ever happened to him, and volleyball. he tries not to be too over the top about it, but once he notices people eyeing you, he'll draw you close to him, even going as far as grabbing your butt in public while you faced away from the person looking at you the wrong way, completely oblivious to kyotani's smug smirk. aside from that, he's totally on board with pda, loves it, actually. won't pass the chance to show everyone how smitten he is– will nuzzle your neck, have a full-blown make out session while sitting at a table in a fancy restaurant, a hand on your waist – if he get to show them how much you love each other, why wouldn't he?

♡ daishou s. — flirts with you like you're still at that early stage of the relationship. it's cute, really, even if sometimes his pick-up lines can be annoying. for the most part, he enjoyed the way you blush at his compliments, and you always amuse him by retaliating back and making him speechless. will use the “are you new here?” card complete with a salacious wink, you're quick to reply with “no, if i were, i'd remember a pretty face like yours” it ended up as a challenge between you two on who can flirt the worst, but deep down, it makes your hearts flutter each time like two fools in love.

♡ kita s. — your number one supporter and cheerleader. when things get rough, he's there beside you, telling you sweet nothings and encouragement in his soothing voice, a kind smile on his face. his presence is so warm and you feel safe with him, it feels like everything is going to be alright. he cheers you on with whatever you have going on, will always ask you about the thing you're working on, checking in on you to make sure you're taking care of yourself and not overworking. he will call you out though if you're not taking care of yourself lately, he will definitely have to do it himself or he will convince you to do it for him, please. he really really loves you and he loves to see you be successful and happy.

You loved Kyoutani, you really did. He was one of your closest friends since you were young. He had always been there for you, and sure he was a bit possessive sometimes but you were always able to forgive him.

“‘Taro, will you tell me what’s wrong now?” You ask softly, sitting next to him on your bed. He doesn’t look at you, knowing that if he looked at you, he would blow up. He just needed you to break up with your boyfriend.

You and your boyfriend had only been dating for a couple weeks. It’s was just hell for him. Kyoutani has been with you since you two were kids yet this guy just had to come and steal you! He couldn’t stand just being your friend anymore. He needed you.

“You need to break up with him” Kyoutani grumbles, his words catching you completely off guard. You sit up straight on your bed at his words. “What? Why?” You say still keeping your voice soft, even if you were a bit annoyed at him saying you needed to break up with your boyfriend.

“He doesn’t even know you” Kyoutani says lowly, hearing you let out a scoff. You cross your arms over your chest, thinking he’s just jealous. You don’t understand though, you don’t understand how deep this jealousy goes. You don’t understand Kyotani’s urge to pummel that stupid boy every time he laid his nasty hands on you.

“He doesn’t know you like I do” He growls at your annoyed attitude. You can’t believe how childish he can be sometimes! In an impulsive decision, Kyoutani shoves you back on your bed, straddling you so you can’t get away from him. His hands hold your wrists tightly as you try to get away.

“What the hell, Kentaro!? Get off, get off of me!” You yell, thrashing around beneath him. Kyoutani pauses for a second, no going back now. You try to wiggle your way out of his grip to no avail.

“I have wanted you for my entire fucking life, but you always just got stolen by other guys” Kyoutani growls, his face dangerously close to yours. You still tell him to get off but this time there’s more fear in your voice that annoyance. As much as Kyoutani hates scaring you and hates hurting you, it’s something that needs to happen.

His eyes land on the lamp on your bedside table. He lets go of one of your wrists, picking up the lamp to swing it and hit you in the head. He won’t hit to you hard, just enough to temporarily knock you out. He needs you to be unconscious while he takes you home, to his home. Somewhere far away from anyone who could take you from him.

a/n: this didn't necessarily how I wanted it to turn out but I didn't want it to be 5k words, I hope you like it either way. sorry it took so long to get to though.

You met Kyotani Kentaro when you were both five. You and your family had just moved in next door and the Kyotani family stopped by to welcome you guys to the neighborhood, in tow was a grumpy looking kid about your age. You were staring intently at the kid who was scowling back with his arms crossed as your families introduced themselves. “...and this is our son Kentaro.” You took a mental note of his name as your mom introduced your family. “...and this is our daughter Y/n.” Your mom said finishing her introductions. You didn’t know it but Kyotani Kentaro took a mental note of your name as well.

After that your families grew closer together, often going to one another's houses for weekly get-togethers on the weekends. While your parents caught up and talked about their work week you and Kentaro were often in another room doing something else. The first few times you spent at each other's houses Kentaro was stubborn. Often trying to get away and hide from you, but you could be stubborn too. You found him every week and made him hang out with you. He gave up trying to hide after the first few times and actually grew to think of you as his best friend.

Five years later you were watching a movie that your parents had rented for you and Kentaro during your weekly hang out sessions. You were half way through the movie and you and Kentaro were making fun of the characters on screen laughing together when both families came into the living room. “You two would be so cute together.” Kentaro’s mom teased as she smirked at the both of you. You guys looked at each other before looking away and pretending to throw up. As much as you both loved each other and felt connected, it was a platonic connection. You felt more like siblings than anything.

You two brought out the best in each other, always growing and improving with each other. Kentaro was still rough and harsh with other people around but you brought out the best in each other. Encouraged each other, you convinced him to join the volleyball team and he supported you in all the decisions you made, helping you when you needed it and vice versa. Being in different classes you didn’t get to hang out in school as much as you would’ve liked, occasionally you’d eat lunch together but not often. Usually you’d just walk home together after both of your after school activities got done and hang out at someone's house.

You were in your second year at Aoba Johsai and your club got done a little earlier than usual so you decided to go check on Kentaro’s volleyball practice. As you neared the entrance to the gym you could hear a small argument happening. As you opened the doors and took a few steps in you were greeted by Oikawa Toru. “Hey there cutie, how can I help you?” You ignored his greeting instead walking up to Kentaro who looked like he was about to start a fist fight with a first year student who looked scared out of his mind.

You walked up behind Kentaro and not so nicely tapped his shoulder, as he whipped around he not so quietly said “What do you want?” You raised your eyebrow at him as you scoffed, “I know you are not talking to ME like that Kyotani Kentaro.” You said as you crossed your arms and waited for a response. Kentaro stumbled over his words as he looked for a response, it’s not that he was afraid of you, Kentaro wasn’t really afraid of anything. However, you could be frightening when upset and angry, and he didn’t see you upset or angry often nor did he want to.

“Sorry.” He said sheepishly and quietly as he rubbed the back of his neck. The whole gym watched in confusion and awe as you two interacted with each other. You listening while he explains what was going on and you scolding him about being too harsh with people younger than him as he nodded along to what you were saying.

“I’m sorry but who are you, why haven’t we met or seen you yet and how did you tame mad dog?” Oikawa said, interrupting your conversation. You furrowed your brows as you looked at Kentaro confused and mouthed ‘mad dog?’ as he shrugged in response. “I’m Y/n, and I’m his friend. We don’t have the same class and are in different after school activities, and by “mad dog” did you mean ‘Taro?” You answered Oikawa’s questions, and as you turned to face him you saw the rest of the third years minus Iwaizumi also looking confused at the situation at hand. “What?” You asked.

“We’ve just never heard of you. Mad dog doesn’t really talk to anyone at practice and the only time we can get him to calm down is when Iwaizumi steps in.” Matsukawa explained. “Yeah Iwaizumi is the only one he respects enough to listen to, so it’s kind of a shock that some random girl just came in here and did it in a second considering we’ve never seen you two interact before.” Hanamakki continued from Matsukawa’s sentence.

“Have you guys tried not being afraid of him? I mean I’ve known him since we were kids, and while he may be short tempered he’s not an animal. You don’t need to “tame” him. That’s probably why he doesn’t respect you.” You explained like it was obvious, and to you it was. You didn’t understand why everyone was so scared of Kentaro.

You stayed for the rest of practice so you and Kentaro could walk home together after he was done. Occasionally throughout the practice a few people would stop and ask you a few questions about Kentaro and your friendship, asking what it’s like being friends with him, what he’s like outside of school. For some reason people were very interested in Kentaro and you figure out why.

“Your teammates are very interested in your life outside of volleyball. They kept asking me personal questions about both you and me.” You said as you walked home. He asked what you had all said to them. “I said you were the nicest person and that we trust each other with our lives and how you would quite literally sacrifice yourself for me.” You noticed Kentaro stopped walking and you turned around as he just stared you down. “I’m kidding, ’Taro calm down. I told them to buzz off and that it wasn’t their business.” You stated like it was obvious and honestly kind of offended that he even thought you’d do that.

He gave a small smile as he ran forward and tackled you putting you in a headlock and aggressively but gently messing up your hair. “That’s my girl.” He said as he released you and you smoothed out your hair, “Let’s go get takeout and rent a movie on me, I’m fucking tired after dealing with Oikawa all day at practice.”
