Note : Hi everyone back from the writer's block!! Ignore any mistakes lol idk what this is I couldn't sleep so I wrote this for him <3!!

The dark night sky above displayed millions of stars, twinkling unusually under the absence of the moon. The most absurd hours were always the best times to find inner peace, especially on nights like these. When life seemed to be at its toughest, bringing with it countless restless nights, you had always found yourself under the open sky accompanied by a cup of tea and the silence the night brought.

Sitting in a chair on the balcony felt eerily peaceful, it seemed like today you were the closest you had ever been to the stars. It was always lonely, but you enjoyed getting to escape the stress in your life and get some time to yourself. However, tonight felt different. It felt more hollow, more empty, more lonely.

Trailing off in your thoughts with eyes glued to the sky, the click of the balcony door startles you a little. You whip your head around to check the source of the sound, only to be met with a worried silhouette.

“What are you doing up so late?” Wonbin asks quietly, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

You smile at your boyfriend's barely visible sleepy state as he makes his way towards you. Even though you did feel bad for being the cause of his disrupted sleep, secretly you wished he’d wake up to find you hiding in plain sight.

“Couldn’t sleep…” you reply with a shrug, looking back at your original view.

Taking a seat next to you on the ground, his gaze follows yours to the darkness overhead. Bringing his knees to his chest, he asks with a suppressed yawn,

“Is something on your mind?”

You don’t need to tell him how you feel, somehow every time it seems like Wonbin magically already knows when you aren’t feeling your best.  

“A lot, actually”

“You want to talk about it?”

“Not right now”

“I see…” His eyes make you their subject now, his arm propped up against his knee and his palm supporting his face.

You tilt your head slightly to look at him. Even in the dark of the night with no moonlight to provide a glow, he looks as ethereal as could ever look. You can barely make out his features, but his eyes are shining even through the tiredness they bore.

You don’t realise how long you’ve been staring at him until you hear a soft chuckle from him. Leaning forward to brush a few stray strands of hair away from your face, his slowly traces down your face eventually resting there.

The smile painted on his lips is one thickly laced with love and adoration for the person he cares about the most, you.

“You know, you can tell me when you aren’t feeling good.” He says in a quiet, yet concerned voice, “Even if I’m not much of a talker, I’ll always be here to listen.”

Your hand makes its way up to find his, gently placing itself on top to feel his warmth, his presence. You nuzzle your cheek into his touch, looking back at him with the same smile that never left your face.

“I know” you mumble softly, not wanting to disturb the peace the night bore, “For now, let’s just stay like this.”

Once again, he gently smiles at you, a nod tagging along as he obliges to your request. Pulling his hand away from your touch, he repositions himself next to you. Instead, his arm snakes around your waist, bringing you closer to his figure. In response, you lean into him, resting your head on his shoulder, the best spot to find comfort. He too, places his head on top of yours, closing his eyes to take in as much of the moment he could.

The night brought you comfort, but being in Wonbin’s embrace was your one and only safe space.
