interpreting quilge as both hunter and jailer makes sense to me . when I first read the manga , the fact that he was introduced as the first captain of the jagdarmee caught my attention . i can translate very basic German , and deduced that that was probably “ hunt army ( if you wanna get literal ) , hunting party ,“ or something similar . also the fact that yhwach had stationed him in hueco mundo, tasked with finding strong arrancar . while Quilge proceeds to kill any weaker Arrancar he comes across , he does offer an invitation to tres bestias , should they surrender & listen to him directly . And they are strong , very notable fraccion , linked directly to king hallibel .

however , i actually included this aspect of his character playing a much larger role . of course , adding a more demented , zaroff sort of twist to it that suits his cruel demeanor . it adds to it , makes his character have more depth & dare I say , contextualizes what he does . He hunts humans ( Arrancar / souls / what have you ) & it’s fucking horrifying . For fun , for the most part , too .

Reading on, though, we don’t get a lot of worldbuilding in regards to the jagdarmee , but it is apparently like the Sternritter version of the gotei 13. So lots of wiggle room for development there.
