like to think shipping was Greed's job (because he's the only one who really get's 'wanting' a human as something other than disposable/consumable) and he got so into it he decided to fuck off and just hang with the humans. After three different versions of Greed Father stops letting him handle match making and that's why we don't see it in canon

The idea of any iteration of Greed being in charge of hooking people up has transfixed me with horror, but mentally rifling through all of Father's kids I can't deny that any other one would probably be worse.

Actually to be fair Lust did manage to land multiple dates. However it doesn't seem like she had to try very hard. Maybe Lust was initially deployed to State Alchemist Girls Night as a wingwoman but every time someone asked "what should I do about this guy" she said "kill him" and so it didn't work out.
