POWERSET AND LIMITS

1. Realms

Remember the weird starry area Dio sent the Joestars to when they first encountered him? That’s the base form of a realm. Every ascended has one, and it can be altered to match the ascended’s taste. Each realm is in its own dimension, so whatever happens in one will not affect the others, or what happens in the main world. Inside these realms, all gods can use their full power freely.

2. Powers

Let’s make one thing clear here: ascendeds cannot create or destroy reality, only alter it based on its rules. We only have one reality, so play nice! 

Everyone is also allowed one souped-up power that is tied to their original stand ability. For example, Josuke resurrecting people is his specific power. However, outside of the realms, the laws of physics and science apply, so all ascended have their powers weakened. Also, some powers are effected by strict time limits or can only be used for a certain number of times over a certain amount of time (I.e. once a month). There are some powers all ascended share and are not dampened outside of the realms, however:

-Shapeshifting, both in the form of altering clothes and turning into animals and the like

-Increased durability and the ability to heal minor wounds and injuries (ascended can’t die, they just teleport back to the realm unharmed after a “death”)

-Portals that can open into a realm

3. Corruption

They say power corrupts, and in this case, that’s literal. Characters who abuse their powers run the risk of corrupting. It’s a lot like Steven Universe-an ascended, either naturally over time or as an result of overusing their powers-will eventually become a beast with very little memory of their past life and none of their powers. No two ascended corrupt in the same way or at the same speed, however, so that’s up to the mun to decide.

4. Personality

Just because your character has godlike powers doesn’t mean they are not still human. Personality can be a deciding factor in how much a character uses their powers or meddles in human affairs. If a character’s morals are against these kind of godly powers, don’t be afraid to have them struggle with them. If your character is bad to the bone, let them revel in their newfound powers.
