sometimes being aroace is like. in my head I've constructed this whole world where I'm a different person and everyone keeps telling me I'd be happier if I were like that. but I don't want to be someone else

#people are like. youd be happier & it would be easier #and maybe it would be but it wouldnt be me. do you understand #people have this tendency to view aspec identities as less inseparable from your whole person than other identities i think #and i need them to understand that theres no way to separate me from my aroace identity without making me someone else #& as much as i sometimes struggle with being me i wouldnt actually want to change that #like. yeah maybe its rotten work sometimes but someone's gotta do it. you'd all perish without me #does this make sense #aromantic #asexual #ew.txt #(btw i said 'being aroace' bc thats my experience so i can only speak from that but if youre other type of aspec and you relate #then pls know im holding your hand)
