thank you for this blog! im relatively new to the fandom, so it's nice to see a lot of older art. do you have any tips for finding older stuff (besides following blogs like yours :) )? or do you just sort of get lucky?
i haven't figured out a good starting point yet unfortunately (which is why theres usually months between massive queues like i have right now), but after i find a that starting point the process is something like:
queue all of their art by scrolling through their #rwby tag, opening any art they've reblogged from someone else in a new tab
after I've made my way through their entire blog i switch to one of the blogs i've opened in a new tab
queue all of their art, open any blogs in new tabs
repeat
finding a good blog to start at is the hard part. if you follow anyone who's been in the fandom for awhile and reblogs a lot of art i would scroll through their blog!!
i'll randomly see people i follow reblog seven year old pieces of art and i have no idea where they find them. i should ask next time i see it happen
#tumblr you want to give us a global /chrono page soooo bad (they will never do this)#anyway. thanks for the ask!#made me smile and i think its awesome other people appreciate seeing older art!#blog archives are ALSO really useful in addition to just browsing a user's rwby tag#but they're more of a pain to queue from than viewing someone's rwby tag through the dashboard#its like. six steps? (open art in new tab + press reblog button [another new tab] + add tags + queue + close art tab)#as opposed to scrolling through someones blog in the dashboard tag which is just three (press queue button + add tags + queue)#(enable the queue button in tumblr.com/settings/labs -> fast queue. i also use queue 2.0)#mine#ask box#asked by anon#scheduling a reblog for tomorrow bc knowing if an anon sees your answer is so impossible. hope this helps at least a little!
