favorite: Does your OC have a favorite article of clothing or accessory? What is it? What's the meaning behind it? Do they wear it all the time or do they wear it sparingly to keep it safe?
Unfortunately the only screenshots i have readily at hand where the sweet pea necklace actually shows are a little questionable...
Tumblr media
She got it from her brother and wears it virtually all the time. I like to think it's made from enamel* or sth more durable than just a dried flower. It's a memento, ... you know how things used to be in Ishgard back in the day TvT
thank you for asking @mirrim-moondreamer (づ˶•༝•˶)づ🎈♡
obligatory ramble warning
*enamel was quite popular as a way to add colour and non-gemstone shinies in early medieval jewelry iirc (it's been a while i forgot so many things oof) so aesthetically that would fit right into ishgardian fashion imho. it's also way cheaper than real gems and i assume even polished glass, so that also goes with the whole all but penniless barely-even-noble getting his (adopted) little sister something nice for her nameday thing. me, overthinking glamour pieces? never. (<- all the time in fact)

(Late) WIP Wednesday
Tumblr media
We late, but we doing it! Less than a week until COTTA starts, less than a week until the first chapters of TTWB are published. Like, WHAT?! I can't believe how fast this has all rolled around!
I'm publishing on Tuesday, and finished edits late last night. Let's see just how long I can keep this organised schedule going for (I don't like my odds 🙈
Thanks for the tags this week @aroace-genderfluid-sheep @cutestkilla @ileadacharmedlife and @larkral
For now, here's a snippet from the prologue of TTWB (POV to be revealed 👀)
Also, little bit of background on this snippet:
Knossos (Kuh-noh-soss) is a Minoan Palace located on the island of Crete, thought to be the inspiration for the myth of the Minotaur
Evans - Sir Arthur John Evans was the archaeologist who excavated the site, and set about rebuilding it/repainting frescoes to bring the site back to life.
Knossos. It’s all the department has been talking about for years. It’s sickening how much prestige Evans has gained from the excavations there. And the rebuilding. Sacrilegious fool. The purpose of archaeology is to preserve, not to rebuild from the ground up. He wasn’t even the man who discovered the palace complex. But history doesn’t remember that little detail, does it. If I’m to make my mark on academia I’ll have to make an even more monumental discovery. Something big, something ancient. Groundbreaking. History will remember me.
There is a lot of nerdy shit going into this COTTA, so much research into the most throwaway things, so I'll probably have author notes at the start/end of chapters just to clear anything up.
