I dont understand what compels people (specifically my neighbors) to ruin a nice morning with fucking power landscaping tools. Its like they revel in the noise of it or something; theyll walk around carrying leafblowers from place to place without even bothering to turn them off. Absolutely infuriating and the #1 contributor to my greatest desire of living somewhere rural enough that i cant hear anyone else
#ive lived in plenty of rural places but theyve all been small groups of houses. so. villages i suppose#even that is too much. id like a least a mile between me and any single other person who isnt my fiance#like i can handle people and noises on occasion without it immediately gratibg on my nerves#but if i am at my House i need there to not be random people who can see me and who are making so much noise#literally maddening. cities were the biggest mistake humans have ever collectively made#i also think it would make the social interaction i actually enjoy (hanging out with friends) so much nicer#bc i wouldnt already be massively overwhelmed from Too Many Goddamn People All The Goddamn Time#anyway. its interesting to me that the pandemic made most people really appreciate being around other ppl in public#exact opposite for me. ive never loved being left alone more in my entire life#probably bc i was stuck in my apartment with my sister who wanted to hang out all day#and i just desperately wanted to be by myself and have some peace and quiet#and she always interprets me wanting to be alone with me specifically excluding her so she gets hurt#autistic to autistic noncommunication lol. we are autistic in the exact opposite ways

little my and snorkmaiden’s relationship in moominvalley season 1 is soooo interesting cause on the whole, little my is pretty mean to snorkmaiden, she’s not very nice towards her at all :’D but snorkmaiden, on the other hand (apart from some moments ofc), seems to really take a shine to her. and i think it stems from an admiration, kinda like moomintroll’s admiration for snufkin, where she’s never really had a female role model in her life before who’s as boisterous and unapologetic and confident as little my is. and then that admiration turns into affection, and in season 2 we see that affection is returned.
#and i think it's equally important for little my to have a female friend around her age as well. one who worries about her and cares for#her and can joke around with her. and is impressed and inspired by her!#idk i just love their friendship and the writers most likely didn't think of it this deeply but i feel like if they did it possibly wouldnt#be as good :'D#i like how much you can infer from their interactions as they are#like i just think about how worried snorkmaiden is for her in the park keeper episode and at the end snufkin's all 'dont worry about her#she can handle herself :)' and that's probably how most people see little my! theyre like eh she's fine she can survive on her own which is#true but idk it's nice to have people worry about you sometimes! and i will say moominmamma is the other person who cares for little my in#this way but yknow. she's her MUM and moominmamma so ofc she does. it's just really sweet that snorkmaiden worries so much as well#and ofc there's the moves out episode in s2 where snorkmaiden gets really pissed at moomintroll for causing My to move away and hurting her#feelings#anyway im rambling lol#i think put more succinctly: snorkmaiden brings out the softness in little my whilst little my brings out the sharpness in snorkmaiden :)

not to start this thread again but as a ziyal stan i still just resent that so much of her already limited screentime was just..... wasted...... the fact that she was bizarrely retconned from the younger, more energetic, slightly feral first iteration (who just wanted kira to teach her how to stab things) in the first place, and then the fact that most of her meaningful character development was completely derailed in favour of a HORRIBLE “romance” plot with the thirtysomething(?) year old gay war criminal when she couldve been art buddies with jake? jake was right there? and nog? kids her age who she could have had actual fun being friends with? hello????
#and then just as she was starting to finally BE her own character they killed her off i......#never mind that she could’ve had a cute FRIENDSHIP with garak + that kira was there and basically adopted her#and like. d*kat’s kid and sisko’s kid being friends. did the writers not realise how shakespearean that would be#tora ziyal#ds9#i’ll never be over this....... they did her so dirty#anyway if the writers werent so homophobically desperate to assert garak as heterosexual#(which is just. so laughable.)#maybe they wouldnt have just used ziyal as a tool and she couldve hung out with people her own age#like i dont mind her having a friendship w garak cause i think thats sweet but honestly the “romance” in this show is so GROSS#like its barely even a romance cause garak (gay) didnt like her back + said so at literally every opportunity#so it really is just a literal waste of ziyal’s character and it hurts! especially since as soon as they separated them#and started doing other things w her like being an artist or being caught in the conflict between d*kat and kira#she instantly became such a good and cute character. and then#i love this show but also no i dont#op#ziyal

I’ve seen a few too many posts and reactions to my personal theory post that made me realize that some of you don’t remember literally how chapter one ended. Noe literally said at the beginning of the series he’s going to kill Vanitas with his own two hands. Mochizuki isn’t hiding this. Vanitas is going to die by Noe’s hands by the end of the series guys.

so THESE are a few weeks old and were initially going to be part of an info-sheet/headcanon dump about skin colour and patterns in cephalings
obviously i didnt get very far so I'm posting these separately,, i'll still probably go ahead with the headcanon post if that's something people would be interested in, since i have a Lot Of Thoughts somehow, but if i do i probably won't use these so they can go up now :)
#bearer of the curse > going in intending to draw all my splat ocs and only getting to these 2 then burning out#c: ollie#c: indie#only real reason i stopped this was bc i injured my hand but now its been a few weeks and picking it back up would be hard :pensive:#anyway. yea there's a few little tidbits on there#ollie has an overabundance of pigment that reacts stronger to enemy colours than the average cephaling#not to a point where it affects her in matches but like. normally youd be able to at least touch or come into contact with#enemy ink for a short time#like it wouldnt hurt or kill you (unless its being shot at you ofc)#but ollie gets semi-painful reactions and takes more chip damage (in a game sense) from her skin being in contact#indie on the other hand is quite normal. small trace amounts of pigment visible on the skin is fairly common and doesnt have any#adverse effects#ollie is just kinda the extreme of that sghdbvnd#hc post#my art

1. My kotor 1 Revan Nadaya, who wouldnt get mixed up in someone elses horror movie in the first place and if she did, the overlook should fear her because she will not be manipulated. She has no memories of what she did as a sith and refuses to regret what brought her to this stage of her life. Plus she loves her people too much to let the hotel take them and has the willpower to back that up.
2. My kotor 2 Exile Maika who would likely view all of this as a giant headache and simply walk away BUT she could fall victim to her guilt, giving in to the Overlooks manipulation OR not fighting against whichever companion goes all murdery first bc she could never hurt a friend
3. My main swtor kid Sorina, who would turn this shit from a horror into an action movie immediately and challenge the notion that you cant kill ghosts or hallucinations. The overlook would be smarter to stay dormant while she is in its vicinity or she would just burn it down.

i think sometimes nonblack people dont put thought to just how traumatizing it can be to see a person like you murdered by the state every few days. to hear the gorey details of what happened. to realize that people only care because they're being told to.
#anyway i was calming down but then a red carlight flashed in my window and against my wall and i immediately started panicking#and shot up to check if there was a police car outside#and now i cant stop thinking about how i almost got arrested last year 💜💜💜 and nearly got my charge put on my permanent record#and how when i was six my mom got arrested dropping me off at school and told me to go in before they handcuffed her#and kids saw and made fun of me for it all day and someone else had to pick me up 💜#and all the other countless horrifying fearful experiences that happen to me or that ive witnessed happening to my mom around police#one time we were driving in texas late at night and a police officer started following us#i was half asleep#my mom quickly pulled into a motel#but i wouldnt wake up and she was scared so she attacked me awake#i know it was her who did that..but it was because she knew the cop was gonna hurt us#I'll never forget that#cops 011#antiblackness 011#police 011#police brutality 011#i could be next. or my mom. or my brother#we arent safe#we're never goiing to be#whats the point?

my Queen hyperfixation is rolling back around (man, it's been a few years!) and I decided to rewatch BoRhap despite the immense pain it inflicts on me

coming back to elaborate that the doctor forgetting clara and everything immediately leading up to it is such a folie à deux. obviously every companion has to be written out some time but it just makes me so so sad that the doctor loved clara so much and he just forgot her. and the fact that that whole episode is framed by him telling her at that diner and he DOESNT KNOW WHO SHE IS is…… YEOWCH. if they would have taken one second extra to day “okay, we’re freaking out. neither of us have to forget. what do we have to do to stay alive?” they coulda worked something out. and they just. didnt 😭
