Christmas is only fun because she has a son.  If it was any other year before Henry, she’d send a lame card to her mother from the dollar store and then gotten each member of the team a gift card for coffee.  Now that Henry was around and at the age of two there is fun to be had with him ripping into gifts like his life depends on it.   ❝ Well,  I guess this means you are staying the night. ❞   JJ had invited Emily over to help her wrap Christmas gifts for Henry but halfway through the snowstorm must have knocked out the power.  Here the blonde stood in the middle of her kitchen with a lighter and a few candles that still needed to be lit.    𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐌𝐀𝐒 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋.      @havenforged​

Wine glasses filled as the three months pass after the last goodbye of NIKLAUS and ELIJAH.  This life was never kind to them but maybe it was deserved as none of them were BRIGHT and SHINNY coins besides maybe Hope. The poor young girl has lost everything that holds a person dear and Freya isn’t sure what to do anymore.  It’s going to find Rebekah with two glasses of red wine without a TEAR in her eyes.  Everything that she feels will come later when behind closed doors. The wedding ring on her finger feels heavy now that the high is over. Freya loves Keelin but now it was all so REAL.   

❝ I was hoping you’d still be here. ❞   Freya’s voice soft when she finds Rebekah in some room of their family’s compound. She offers out the glass of wine with a sigh that falls without meaning to.     ❝ I think think that we deserve a vacation from this place. ❞    Hope deserves one the most.  School was almost out for the summer since it was now the end of April. Freya had spent a great deal of time trying to plan a dinner with Hope for her birthday but the girl keeps rejecting her phone calls left and right.    /     @multi-royalty​

A deep breath given as the eldest witch works the room to the most comfortable settings for her niece. The best temperature of room, soft comfortable bed sheets, and a book to read for herself as she waits for the little girl that she loved so much to wake. It had always been a thing that would happen but Freya had imaged this day differently with Hayley there and Niklaus. There the duo sits in the large living room of the Mikaeslon Mansion in Mystic Falls. It had been a full 17 hours since the text was received and Freya had yet to sleep a wink since.

❝ This does not have to happen fast. We take everything at your pace. ❞   The urge to gently hum to herself is strong but Freya knows that will only make things worse for herself. From the outside, there was no way to tell that the witch was on edge as she has spent years mastering a facade that can not be broken.   ❝ I’m going to make this as stress free as possible, sweetheart. ❞   Cardiac arrest with magic.

Blue eyes cast down at the table filled with notes and lore on children that are as special as Renesmee was. It was strange being able to stay awake for hours on end without her eyes burning from being over tired. The vampire’s life turned into one filled with one trauma after another since moving to forks.  ❝ Hey Caspian.❞   she could smell the wolf  ( @luposcanius​ ) from a mile away. The brunette turns her attention to the man that just entered the room. It is worth a shot asking, right?   ❝ Have you ever heard anything about dhampirs? ❞  The volturi is going to be coming and everyone needs to prepare for possible death. Everyone but Renesmee.

❝ You are up early. ❞   Hayley comments as she walks into the kitchen at 4 am. The hybrid herself hadn’t even gone to bed and instead spent a while 5 hours with Declan.  ❝ Did you get any sleep last night? ❞  it was a good question as she makes her way over to the coffee pot and puts a k-cup into the machine and hits the button for it to start brewing.

❝ I think our daughter’s get along well. . . ❞  A little too well given they get into trouble constantly.  A wine glass gets filled before scooted over toward the doppleganger with a smile on Hayley’s lips.  Where even are our girls?

Hayley never had a mother or well she did but the Marshall mother was not warm and fuzzy past a certain age. Her life spent in chaos that she didn’t want for her two year old that spent hours screaming in the truck when away from her daddy. The tears had died down and the tribrid was now snoozing away as they pulled up to a house to find the blonde outside. A sigh of relief as she hops out of the truck and goes to the back where she opens the bed of the truck to reveal Hope’s family in their coffins.   ❝ Is it bad that I am hoping that they never woke up? ❞  Hayley winces as she asks the question to her best friend.   I just mean that because I want my daughter to have a normal life.  The reasoning dies on an open mouth that she closes.

❝ Okay, so I’m going to go out tonight. ❞  Vera can’t help but do what she always does of trying to escape into the night the moment things with her sister get to be a little more cozy.  It’s not that I hate you so much as I hate feeling trapped by emotions.  To her credit though,  she always sends birthday gifts and spends the holidays with her siblings if she can just now that Christmas was over  (by not even 3 hours) it was time for an escape. Is it sad that she loves them but has no idea how to connect with them,  maybe. 

It would help if she actually didn’t try to escape uncomfortable conversations or time that is spent silent. There were no bags in hand and she had changed her clothes from the baby pink soft colors to leather.  ❝ So don’t wait up. ❞   I need a DRINK and not to be here when they wake up.
