It's been something she's thought of ever since arriving in this town and starting the process of divorce from her estranged husband.

"I got married while on a trip to Vegas when I was young. It was a typical situation where you meet a stranger during a vacation and then you do something stupid because of good sex and a lot of alcohol."

it was a fury that was unlike anything else he had ever felt. it was one thing to be attacked openly, but attacking anyone whilst they slept - well that was just cowardly. marko deserved better than that. david couldn't believe something like this had happened, he would've done anything to keep his brothers safe, but he had failed to do that for marko. oh this wasn't over. far from it. he was going to make sure every single one of them suffer for what they did to him, the moment the sun went down, each and every single one of them were dead. he would not allow anyone to see the tear that he shed for his brother, but it was undeniable as he felt it slip down his cheek.

Honestly, a few of Civan's favored hobbies make him sound like such an old man. He likes puzzles, he likes chess, he likes to read. He is a bit of a beach fanatic though, he enjoys surfing and he plays volleyball with a local adult team. Some of his hobbies come from traveling when he was younger and being an only child, he could read and do puzzles by himself when he didn't really know people or have anyone to do things with.

One of Nia's hobbies is really more volunteer work I think then a genuine hobby, but if asked she would say that helping local businesses and organizing charity fundraisers is a hobby she has. Otherwise, she likes to read but her biggest thing is running. Nia tends to wake up 99.8% of the time at the crack of dawn to go for a run. She participated in track and field & cross-country in school. Nothing is more of a guaranteed stress relief for her then running. She loves doing marathons, especially really ridiculous themed like fun runs etc.

“Javi,” Pasi croaks. “Javi, please, please.”

Shut up, Javi wants to snap, but instead, he bites his cheek. For as difficult it is to think with a clear head in the midst of their weeping, he can’t fault them for reacting the way they are — not when Isabele’s still bleeding out in their arms from a gunshot wound to the lung, limp, barely unconscious, but still gasping for breath.

The last leg of their plan hinges on her. It is Isabele that has set up a meeting with the capo’s son, and it is only Isabele that can get him to surrender the passcode to the vault Behi and the others have found themselves trapped in.

No room for hesitation. He presses his hand over Isa’s shattered ribs. Pulls the fractures and the shredded tissues to his palm, feels the pain gnaw at his body. Head cloudy, now, he makes the mistake of meeting Pasi’s gaze, and winces.

“Javi,” Pasi sobs again. “Javi, Javi, Javi—“

The last of Isa’s bullet wound shrinks to nothing. She opens her eyes, looking confused, likely still lightheaded from phantom pains.

Only four minutes until Isa’s meeting. Only ten minutes until armed goons find the others in the vault. Nobody else is around.

He can find a way to place the wound on their body without killing them. But an alteration that major is going to leave him too weak to carry himself out of the base, much less haul a fatally injured Pasi out with him. If he leaves them, there’s no doubt the goon that finds them will shoot them dead.

He’s not a god. It’s not on him to choose who gets to be martyred. Pasi pulls their arms from Isa’s body, and puts their hands on his hands.

“Javi,” Isa says. “Don’t.”

He’s already closed his eyes, so her order doesn’t get to him. Yet another name on the list of people he’ll need to beg forgiveness from. Javi throws his arms over Pasi, pulls their body to his chest, and nudges their head to the crook of his shoulder. One hand curves over their neck, palm to carotid artery.

anemone :   how does your muse view the world ;   as a cruel   &   unforgiving place ,   a land full of wonders ,   or something in - between ? where does that world view come from   (what experiences ,   life lessons ,   etc .) ?

Connie has a very unstable and impermanent view of the world that shifts and ripples with every small action that so happens to fall upon his perception. The slightest bit of good (not even necessarily done unto him) has him seeing life itself through rose-tinted glasses, while a myriad of unknown factors (including but not limited to: a delayed shipment of the books he's ordered, someone ignoring him, someone disagreeing with him, someone agreeing with him) is enough to make him view the world as an utterly desolate place that either doesn't deserve him or is exactly where he ought to be keeping in mind the maxim of like calling to like.

This comes from his life being His Life™ and also borne out of sheer stubbornness in literally refusing, always and every time, to maybe take a step back for just one second and give himself a moment to calm down and realise that the world is, in fact, not ending just because someone so happened to ignore him at some insignificant social function that he'll forget in a couple of weeks.
