it's not a big deal. that's what rett tried to convince himself of. yet aster being so blasé about everything irked him in a way that grated his nerves. "you should always expect everything and nothing all at once." it was a little piece of his pessimism, unable to find any humor in this situation. "i can't say that i care," though he did. "i'm just a little surprised, i guess. i know nothing about you other than what your face looks like when you cum. you didn't seem like the hit it and quit it type though."
