there you stood at the front doorstep of Warren’s parent’s place, which was also his place. Warren answered the door, clearly still upset from the nervous-breakdown-induced fight you two had about the heist. He had invited you over to work out mapping plans for the aforementioned and upcoming heist you were pulling with a few mutual friends. He dragged you down to the basement, sitting down on a couch that was down there

“So,” Warren started, holding out a bag. “You want some? Maybe it won’t be as awkward or somethin’…get us to loosen up,”

 The bag was yellow, dawning one-eyed Sour Patch Kids that looked like they were on shrooms. In big, green, leafy letters, you read the words ‘Stoney Patch’ printed across the bag. That type of edible was such a Warren thing to buy. 

You look at him wearily. You weren’t one for recreational drugs (or just drugs period), but for Warren? Totally. You slipped a few fingers in the bag, pulling out one, blue, blob. not even a Sour-Patch-Kid-looking blob, just a blob. You pop the small candy into your mouth, eyeing Warren wearily. 

You noticed him watching you, his dark irises greedily raking your frame from your lips to your hips. The bag was already opened when you got here, meaning Warren had been eating from it since before you got here. Maybe he was zoning out and his vision just landed on you?

“Can you f-fuckin’ pay attention? We’re wastin’ time,” He stuttered, rolling out a large paper sheet that had mapping plans on it. You nod, hoping the effects of the edibles would kick in soon. 

“You haven’t even started saying anything important..” you mumbled back.

You watched Warren, your hearing panning in and out as you focused on him instead of what he was explaining. You never noticed how..how goddamn hot he was. His hair, his face, his body. It was all so appealing to you all of a sudden. 

The feelings were reciprocated on Warren’s side. He could feel himself trailing off, becoming enthralled in the sight of you. Well, the sight of your tits. You two tried to push off the thoughts until you finally couldn’t take it anymore and snapped in his face.

“Stop staring at my boobs!” You exclaim, crossing your arms. Warren huffs, dragging a hand over his face.

“Crossing your arms isn’t gonna help! You’re just pushin’ ‘em up!” He exclaimed, slamming his hands on the table. 

“You’re such a bastard!” You yelled back. Warren’s eyes widened as silenced engulfed the two of you. Warren stared at you and you stared at him, neither of you breaking eye contact.

Warren looked down at you, playing with your hair slowly. His fingers teased your scalp, making their way to the back of your head. His other hand went to your hip as he leaned in to kiss you.

Fairy Tail Re-Read - Volume 1

Alright so I originally typed this on twitter but from here on out I’ll probably write it here first, or somethin’ like that. Sorry for my poor grammar I’m better at drawin funny pictures than I am at typing. “Officially started my third reread of Fairy Tail yesterday and finished volume 1 just a minute ago. Still feels so exciting reading this series, will never get tired of Chapter 2 and being introduced to the actual Fairy Tail Guild. Makarov's little speech in that chapter always feels magical (pun half-intended) to read, it's a really inspiring way of describing Magic in general. The Macao Chapter still gets me a little emotional, really wish we got to see more of him after this but it at least leaves a strong impression.”

“I also really like seeing Mashima's early art, I love his art in general but whenever I look back on early FT art and the entirety of Rave Master I just find myself super motivated to capture that feeling of raw passion dripping off of it. The Volume 1 cover is also just pleasant to look at. I'm excited to go into the Duke Everlue arc even if it is admittedly a pretty slow section of the story to get through when knowing everything that follows. I might do like, a continuous thread through the rest of my reading of the series. There probably won't be any images as not to clog up my media tab but this might be fun. We'll see though, no garauntees lol.” Okay so this part was from twitter but I also wanted to talk about the After Word Segment at the very end of the volume, it’s always interesting to hear about early versions of a series, and knowing that originally Fairy Tail was just gonna be about what is essentially a delivery company with a weird lil demon-horned version of Natsu as our protagonist is crazy. Like I can’t even imagine what that would have been like. Also still a fan of how despite Natsu being the more primary protagonist of the series we start with Lucy and have Natsu sorta just run into the plot by chance. I’m not personally a NaLu Shipper (nothing against the ship, I totally get why it’s a thing and have no problem with it being featured in the series as much as it is. Just isn’t my thing really) but these two interacting is always a treat, Natsu literally grabbing Lucy to run from the cops while taking to her to the Guild is still such a great moment of the series. So for future notice I have a feeling that if I do these FT Re-Read Posts, they’re gonna be here more often, and since it’s on Tumblr I’m less worried about posting images. So i’ll just make note of this now, I own the entirety of Fairy Tail physically, it was a really fun project/goal I had during the pandemic, and those volumes are what i’m using for my reread. That said I will be using images from unofficial manga reading sites in order to show them off properly for examples, mainly because I don’t know where to view it officially online, and even if I did those sites don’t really let me copy paste the images. Just want to be transparent about this, cause my brain told me too.

A really fun kind-of plot with Aoki would be a “they’re neighbors/in the same apartment complex and see each other fairly often, except it’s becoming more and more obvious that something is exceptionally wrong here.” Because, well, try as he might to blend in, the necessary habits he has for work make him stick out like a sore thumb. And there’s the fact that he’s a monster, not a human (which could play far less of a role if the given setting they’re in is more centered on the unnatural, but even then he tries to keep as much of his identity under wraps as I can, particularly the specifics of what he is). 

I just adore the idea of him getting into a bit of a routine with a neighbor, without really realizing it-- little things like seeing each other about the same time every other night while they smoke or just step out for fresh air, they come home/leave at similar times, frequent the same nearby shops, etc. And that’s what makes the cracks in the facade start appearing. The mundanity should help his cover, but it’s what would eventually start to peel it off little at a time. As much as he’d like it to be, the little nothings in every day life are not normal for him; try as he might to make it be so, he’s not very practiced at it. A number of things that could go wrong will go wrong. And it really all depends how the relationship develops as to how that will go. 

And also-- bonus points if the other party in question has a few skeletons in the closet or something more going on that they’re also hiding. Or bonus points if they’re just a fella! Just a person living their life!

Allow me to explain: while I do tend to come up with my personal ideas of romantic/platonic/familial/etc. ships within a single interaction (depending on length of interaction), I don’t tell people what said ships are because I don’t want to come on too strong. I started out my RP’ing career doing autoship fluff-chaos with a friend so we could escape our real lives (they were abused by their father, I was still abused by my sister), so autoshipping/shipping really fast is something I’m quite used to. However, I know most people prefer slowburns and the like, so for everyone’s sakes, I keep it to myself until I think there’s a proper time to introduce a ship. ^^

SURE, AND ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS DIE. [ MOTIVE 4 ]

“Perfect.” The figure speaks in a low tone to themselves, locked in a room inaccessible, and hidden, from the general public. The figure covers xer grinning lips, as xey stare down at the machine beneath them- knowing perfectly well what it’s for. It didn’t take very long for him to figure out how to use it, and use it to their advantage, she would. 

The figure looks towards the monitors that surround his desk, clicking through idly to get a good view of what just about everyone is doing. 

Date and Grimnir are in the kitchen - per usual. 

Taokaka guards the garden, making sure nobody comes to destroy it.

Everybody else appears to be in their rooms. Had that last trial truly been as bad as it was to make everyone hole themselves up in their room?

Entertaining. 

 It had been a good week since anybody had received a command, and The Figure can tell that everyone is on guard. On edge, waiting for something to happen.

Because they all know that they’re going to receive something, sooner or later. It was just a matter of when, and truth be told - The figure had been waiting for so long for something exciting to happen. 

Let’s make it happen now… Yes? 

“GOOOOOOD AFTERNOON, FOLKS!” Fake Oswald’s grating voice fills the halls, capturing your attention. Everyone holds their breath- knowing what’s going to be coming at any minute, now. It had only been a week since Pewter’s fatal murders - and his...admittedly, rather disturbing execution. But Oswald, and by extension, Willie- was not the type to allow for any kind of rest. 

In fact, it had felt as though everyone was starting to get along again, forgetting everything that had happened just a week ago. Tensions were high, of course- but not enough to cause any form of trouble.

Shintaro’s concert was all but grating to the mascot, too. Imagine going out of your way to bring some form of distraction to the fact you’re literally trapped in a game where you could die at any moment? Yeah, can’t relate. 

“I gotta be real with ‘ya, I’m gettin’ real bored of just sittin’ ‘round waitin’ for y’all to do somethin’. I’ve gotten pretty used t’seein’ the lot’ve ‘ya ignoring the fact you are LITERALLY in a game where you could die at any moment, so y’know what? Let’s play another game! How ‘bout another round of SIMON SAYS?” 

As the words Simon Says rings throughout the halls, a twinge of anger fills everyone. 

The Figure watches, laughing to herself as he leans a hand against his cheek. 

“Nah. Just kiddin’, I gotta be honest with ‘ya, as fun as Simon Says was, it’d be pretty borin’ if I just introduced it to ‘ya again. So let’s play another game, huh? Y’all ever heard’ve a lil game called MAFIA?” 

...Mafia? 

The Figure smiles to himself. His fingers press the buttons, controlling what Oswald does on the monitors, before she speaks into the microphone - getting out her plans for their specific motive in mind. 

“The rules are pretty simple. Shortly after this announcement, y’all are gonna receive a specific role. If yer mafia, yer goin’ t’go an’ vote someone off. If yer a doctor, y’get the chance to protect someone. If yer just a villager, then all y’gotta do is just sit an’ pray that you don’t get selected to be voted off.” A pause. 

“What does votin’ someone off mean? I don’t know. Maybe they just simply disappear. Maybe yer votin’ someone to get out of this buildin’ and return to civilization. Or maybe yer votin’ for them to die. Who knows? I ain’t tellin’.” The Oswald on the screen smiles, in a rather teasing manner towards everyone still alive. 

“Of course...y’could always just end this motive prematurely by figuring out who the mafia is.” The Figure speaks into her microphone, Oswald repeating her exact words. The grin on her face doesn’t fade. 

“Just kiddin’! You didn’t  think it’d be that easy. Did’ya?  Unless y’want everyone to just disappear and possibly end up dead, I’m expectin’ one’ve ‘ya to go an’ sacrifice another person just to get all’ve these premature disappearances to stop. Are ‘ya willin’ to go and do that? Or are y’gonna go an’ make me do all of the dirty work myself?” 

The Figure pauses. He glances over towards the button and the machine resting close by them, and stand up. They grab the microphone they speak into, sitting down in front of the machine, fingers circling the buttons to turn it on and release the gas from inside of it. 

“...In fact, just t’prove t’ya that I mean business with this motive...how ‘bout we start right now?”

Hello, hello! Welcome to chapter four’s motive, a very fun and simple game of MAFIA! AKA: one of the mods here really misses playing on epicmafia so you’re all being forced into a week long game of mafia!

Just like the previous chapters, if you would like to offer yourself up as this chapter’s victim or culprit, then please be sure to message Willie’s discord. You will have  two hours from the motive going up to get your message in. The cut-off time to let the mods know you are interested in it is going to be 7:40 PM PST. 

If you are pulled for either culprit or victim, you will not be allowed to talk about it with those still alive, unless you need to do so in order to plot with a character close to your’s. 

You are allowed to continue your threads pre-motive drop. 

Unless you plan to kill off your muse via NG code, remember to keep your NG code in mind! ;] 

MOTIVE NOTES--;; 

Just as Oswald stated: We are going to be playing a week long game of Mafia! What does this mean? Simple! A small amount of you will be chosen to be our “mafia,” as well as an even smaller amount of you being chosen to be our “doctor.” The rest of you will be “villagers.” 

As stated at the end of the drabble - a form of sleeping gas fills the room you are in. Because of this, your character can not react to the motive immediately like the previous times. A message will be going up when you are able to react. 

Because we are going to have a little bit of downtime between this drabble going up and you having a chance to have your character react to the motive - you may use this time to ask any questions you have regarding the motive. 

IF YOU ARE SELECTED TO BE MAFIA OR DOCTOR: You will receive a DM from Willie’s account. If you do not receive a DM, your character’s role is villager. 

IF YOU ARE SELECTED TO BE MAFIA: You will be placed in a group chat with other members of the mafia and discuss who you want gone. Whoever everyone agrees on will disappear.

IF YOU ARE SELECTED TO BE DOCTOR: All doctors will be allowed  to “save” one person every night. They are allowed to select themselves and can continuously choose to save one person throughout every night. 

For the rest of our villagers, you don’t do anything special. Just sit and pray you don’t get chosen. :) 

At random, Oswald will appear in the chatroom asking those who are online to discuss who they believe may be the mafia. You are free to vote for nobody, if you truly don’t have any idea who the mafia could be. However, if somebody is suspected of being mafia and a majority of votes go for them - they too will disappear, and their role will not be revealed. 

IF YOU ARE SELECTED TO DISAPPEAR: YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SHARE THE FATE OF YOUR CHARACTER. You also will not be allowed to start new threads if you disappear. Unlike culprit and victim pulls, you will not be allowed to use a skip if you are selected. If you are selected, then you are selected. :) 

Your character is not allowed to reveal what their role is to anybody, no matter what. By extension, you are not allowed to reveal what your role is to anybody OOC, save from your friends who may be watching the game. 

How do we stop this motive…!? Simple! Discover who the mafia is! 

...Just kidding. Even if the mafia is discovered, the motive isn’t going to stop until someone is killed. Are you going to just sit there and watch your fellow coworkers disappear? Who knows what’s happening to them…! You better sacrifice someone before all of you disappear one by one! 

Just so we ensure that everybody doesn’t disappear way too quickly, someone will only be disappearing every other day. For example: the first night someone will be disappearing will be today. The following day, thursday, nobody will be disappearing - BUT Oswald does have a chance of appearing in the chatroom to ask if anyone has any suspicions on who a member of the mafia is. The following day, Friday, someone will disappear. The cycle will repeat this way until it’s time to discover a body.

hmm ig i’ll go with canon for this one because i have many ocs, but uh i really wanna write for seto from fragile dreams. i used to have an ask blog for him back in the day but that died quickly seeing as how dead the fandom is so- but i do love him with all my heart and i would love to be able to someday write him or something

rick riordan, marissa meyer and michelle rowen. i’ve read their books throughout middle school and high school and i still find myself going back to reread their books because i just love how their words flow as well as how engaging their plots are. i honestly hope i can reach rick riordan levels of skill whenever i get around to finishing my own novel!

one would have to be an old rp friend that we sadly don’t talk to anymore since she was the first one i started writing with a lot more back in high school as well as the one who would give me advice on how to improve and just be patient with me when i go stuck with writing our threads and also mikey (@snw-cnvs) since he also supports me outside of rp’ing to get me to write actually fiction drabbles. i just wish i could finish them lmao

all of my ships with mikey no i’m joking lolol i really love my ship with haneul because i’ve had him for two years now and he’s grown a lot because of his ship. he’s someone whose never believed that love was real and sure their relationship is a little rocky, but they both don’t really have the proper understanding for love until waaaay later. i also really love how whenever he’s with obe, he’s able to pull out this different side of haneul, someone whose so overconfident and quick to words, becomes at a loss for words and questioning himself a lot. i just love them best otp

sure, i’d be down for it as long as our muses have the right chemistry as well as if i know both muns pretty well and if they’re also comfortable with it.

any au that causes too much of a shift in my muses’ personality. i’m usually willing to try any au but if it becomes too much that my muse basically becomes a different person i don’t like it.

okay, if it wasn’t obvious i used to rp back in middle school through high school and on tumblr and i have done my fair share of the sin once i turned 18. nowadays i’m pretty much like eh, but ig i could try again if the need arises, but it also depends on my mood ig? i’d have to write it with someone i’m completely comfortable writing with but also even then it’s gotten to the point i’m more like ig we can just fade to black yea?

yes god i love being able to break my muses because it’s so fun. like yea it also hurts because that’s my kid i’m hurting but i’m okay with that. it’s just something that adds realness to them because the world sure as fuck ain’t rainbow and sunshine

i have these icons that i squirreled away for awhile now and i really wanna use them but my brain is too dead to figure out who he could work for. like he was my first thought for reese but he didn’t really give off the right reese vibes so maybe i’ll dig around my oc bin and see who looks the closest to him

not really refuse to play - more like i’m eh with. if only because en used to be my main chara for a long time like, i was so deep into the magical boy lore that a good chunk of my headcanons became canon. but also it just…leaves a bad taste in my mouth even more so since the drama that happened in that fandom left me filled with fear and hesitance to rp for a good chunk like before. it just brings back bad memories and i thought i was moving past it when i was thinking about using him for reese but alas. some memories don’t leave

maybe one day i’ll either get to write en again or i can use his face as fc but we’ll see

☂ How does your muse spend a rainy day? How do you spend a rainy day?

haneul: he loves the rain and he’ll spend it either under an umbrella or just sitting there in the rain just letting it wash away his thoughts and fears for a little bit 

eiji: he’d spend it indoors playing a video game or playing with seto

reese: he’d prob be dumb and splash in the puddles because he likes to enjoy the little things. other times he’ll just ignore it and stay indoors either hanging with friends or studying and practicing his magic for his school’s next tournament 

sage: i like to spend it just lookin out my window with my kitty on my chest. i love the sound of it against the sidewalk and streets.

en because i was able to write a lot of different aus, headcanons, and just develop a canon character until he pretty much just became my own character

lifty and shifty were my roots. i started in the htf fandom and had so much fun writing those lil shits. it was just my go fuckin crazy shit. i still have their icons and their old blog is still up and i do kinda miss them some days.

i used to have an oc named harley who was a living doll and i haha came to hate him because i made him around the same time i created haneul and i always loved haneul because i put a lot of effort into him and not much in harley and i got annoyed and jealous that back then everyone seemed to love harley more him. so i pretty much tossed him to the curve adfhsdkfjh

My name’s Danny, I live in south Texas, and I’m a huge fuckin’ dork nerd. I’ve been rping on tumblr for about 4~ years, first starting out in the dangan ronpa oc community and taking a long trek from there to here, and I couldn’t be more satisfied! I’m a writer first and foremost with a handful of stories for my numerous characters, but I enjoy writing any type of fiction. I’m typically very shy, but I’ve been trying my best lately to break out of my shell and get back into rping and meeting people, so don’t be afraid to hit me up for anythin’!

My home situation can be hectic at times, but I always do my best to be online and respond to people. 😡 :  Worse role play-related encounter and what advice you would give to others to avoid similar situations?

Okay so hang onto your butt ‘cause this is going to get long. ALSO heads-up there’s discussion of manipulative behavior, fictional rape/assault, and mentions of suicide.

A couple of years ago, I met this gal who wrote an OC—innocuous enough. She did sick art for her OC and it was fun to interact. I cannot recall if it was Cable or D to whom she first attached herself. We had a decent thread with D on me old blog, RadiantDecay ‘til the purge killed it. I think we picked it back up but idk…

Cable was the big one—the doozy.

So some of you know (e.g. anyone who’s written with me/read my muse sexuality/gender HC list that I have always written Cable as 100% pure grade-A home of sectional. I was very upfront about this when she clearly expressed a desire to ship with him, like, romantically.

Now, I don’t have a problem with age gap—I ship Raiden with people and he’s literally eternal so…. What I take issue with is when one muse is so very clearly WAY too immature to come close to appealing to a muse who has seen Some Shit™. Their lived experiences just cannot match up. Cable is a 50-60some time traveling gritty fuckin’ badass telepath with a giant gun and a constant headache named Wade Wilson (sometimes husband tho; depends on the day).

Turns out this gal was (probably still is) a MAJOR FC hunter. Josh Brolin (a Cable I only write peripherally) and Benicio Del Toro were her focuses (another buddy I met through her writes MCU’s collector, so there’s your Del Toro). I told her flat out Cable is gay and she was immediately lowkey hostile. She got over it though and we started writing.

Red flag much?

Thirty some odd replies in and this is shaping up a bit. We’re playing it on Providence, Cable’s island that’s made of his ship—blah blah blah—her OC has a power surge that knocks out half the computers. That was another thing about her OC. She HAD to be the strongest person in the room but also unaware of her strength except when it was interesting to the plot.

She started messaging me again about SHIPPING THEM. I said somethin’ like “he probably sees her as a daughter or granddaughter, maybe—he’s a mentor type. Also he’s still gay.” She acted like I’d never told her so I did something I rarely do and scrolled tf up, screenshotted the message, and posted it. “Yeah,” I said, “but I did.”

On another track, she decided to get into Devil May Cry. She wanted to write her OC as the reincarnation of Nero’s dead mother or something? But also wanted me to write that Vergil had raped the poor girl. Now, again, referring back to the chart, Vergil is also gay as fuck. I was also up front about this, BEFORE she whipped out the sexual assault card and even THAT I had to pry from her.

By this point our “friendship” was rocky as fuck. When I refused to write or acknowledge that, because I found it offensive, she started writing a “fuck you fic” (the channel title) in the server she named after herself and in which she gathered her “friends” (e.g. people who played characters with those FCs). I think she booted me from the server or something idk.

Anyway there was a bunch of shit and I actually DID keep screenshots from various disco conversations (which btw I NEVER do, but holy shit this was insurance), bu the culminating thing that made me run for the hills was the night she threatened suicide via voice message she straight up sent me over discord because I refused her freaky-ass rape plot. She said shit about how I called her “manipulative” (I didn’t) and how that really hurt and something about her fucking dog? Idk. She’d also mentioned at some point that a previous Cable Rper had referred to her as a “manipulative bitch”.

HMMMMMMMMMM.

I ain’t gunna post her URL or whatever, but suffice it to say, I got a hold of a mutual friend (thank god they gave me the time of day) to tell ‘em what had actually happened, ‘cause evidently the chick decided to ghost me and then tell some WILD tales with seriously doctored screenshots to her buddies in her server. They let me tell my story and trusted me on it because evidently the screenies were HELLA sus. They also shared some really uncomfortable instances of her racism and homophobia so that was neat—this friend being a queer person of non-whitery an’ all that. Nice. I recalled that when I’d mentioned I was queer meself, she’d kind of drawn back and acted REALLY goddamn strange.

So yeah, I asked this friend a final favor and I’d bugger off if they didn’t wanna deal with me: “please tell her she needs to unblock and DM me right now or I’m going to leak every fucking screenshot I have”. I was NOT happy. I just needed her to know that I knew she was lying about me and that I felt nothing but contempt for her. I told her in no uncertain terms that if I so much as got a fucking HINT that she was fucking with this mutual friend, I’d post ‘em all on a frickin’ sideblog and tag every single person with whom I KNEW she associated.

Was I gunna do it? For this friend? Hell yes. On me own, unprovoked? No. I had and still have a strict “no bullshit” policy when it comes to call outs, burn blogs, blah blah whatever. But the threat was enough to keep her worthless trap shut. See the reason I needed her to DM me was that I’d closed the convo without realizing she’d fucked off. I now have access to it—yes even today—so if you’re out there sweaty {; fuckin’ try me~

EDIT: a gazillion years later, but still Munday at least, I realize I didn’t answer the second half: advice to avoid similar situations. Honestly, give folks a chance, but follow your gut and do not be afraid to have extensive fucking rules. If people are scared off by a lot of reading in a hobby that requires reading, you don’t want to write with ‘em anyway. In addition, passwords (which I have) are OKAY. There are folks with “I don’t do passwords” in their rules and that’s fine, too; they’re just not going to be your writing partner. Do not bend on that. Be patient and cordial, but if your rules say “no threads without the password” don’t bend. (obvious exception is that like, mutual friends give you the all-clear on ‘em ‘cause they know this person personally duh, but otherwise stick to your guns!)
