#mae overshares#ive been coming up with ridiculous crossover aus that never become anything but my daydreams for the last couple of years#from da:i star wars au to silmarillion star wars au...actually that's it im just trying to cram things into star wars universe lmao#*oh i forget about my dark souls-ish game but it's maglor and sons of feanor (again. silm star wars au more or less)#*and also humanoid hollow knight au. but the hollow knight one is almost definitely become actual art......in the distant future#the da:i one probably will be ignored forever but the silm/tolkien one might go somewhere#tbh im not really embarrassed about having thought of either of them. i am however. very embarrassed abt the addition to the clown show#which is....well technically it's a prequel to Ulysses Dies At Dawn. but it's really a metropolis-inspired sci-fi version of.......lliad#which a maybe-classics-major person who knew way more than greek myth than me had already take a whack at#i even reblogged their post about it. but i had some quite different ideas in mind#my vision of the au is more bioshock-ish. well. steampunk for sure but more futuristic in aesthetic and there is space opera element :\#there will still be androids. helen. but not just her. although im not making achilles one cause i dont think it actually fits him that well#just the women actually...it'd take me too long to explain why but it's something reflecting patriarchal dehumanization of women something#now that im thinking abt it the approach to robots in this au have a bit of blade runner vibe tbh. i guess it's also tech noir lmao#honestly other than cramming things into star wars i also desperately want to cram thing into bioshock#actually im more desperate in cramming things into bioshock. i have so many failed crossover aus that just don't feel right#mostly because as much as i love the concept. the aesthetic. the setting of rapture. im not super invested in any existing characters#and greek myth already has Talos. for starters. it's already got that fairytale from the future vibe sometimes. shit just writes itself#and Ulysses Dies At Dawn (such interesting worldbuilding. still wish it's a podcast instead) just has such interesting worldbuilding#i can't stop thinking about a sci fic retelling of lliad after listening to it again after at least two years#but idk man it's not like i hate what i come up with cause im excited for the aphrodite vs helen parts thats for sure#but i dont wanna mention achilles and patroclus again sdafjsdfj but i want to. don't want to. want to <3#i genuinely felt that tsoa should be last mention of these two moffos on any form of pop culture medium. fanfic included#(fanfic is especially included tbh. im so immensely grateful that no greek media has reached hamilton fandom level of brainrot)#like bitch i DO NOT want to retell their love story yet again when ms miller had already done that shit!!!!#and she's a professor!!! in greek fcking studies!!! meanwhile i dont know anything about anything#im taking psychic damage just thinking about the fact that im so emotionally invested in this silly au#imagine getting so brain rotted over known heroic age greek war criminal achilles and maybe patroclus also. sort of.#Tsoa Made Me Do it <\3
