LISETn, horses are scary, they're Big and their faces are horrifying, this one time I went with a friend that does horse riding and i was Terrified they were so close to me AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH. long story short: horses r scary

im gonna have to disagree with you here anon. ive grown up around horses so nothing about them is abnormal to me and i dont really see where the scary thing comes in. theyre big, sure, but most of them are so gentle. and not all of them are big! my pony is 12 hands (122cm or 4 feet!) and hes a b i g pony. im about 160cm and ive ridden ponies that cant be over 60cm. their long faces match their long necks and their long legs. imagine if a horse had a face that wasnt long. i think id find that more scary than a horse with a long face. the biggest fear ive seen is that they person is gonna get hurt somehow by the horse. most of the time the horse isnt out to hurt you and only did it on accident! ive been hurt by my horses a lot, but they always make sure that im okay if they do hurt me. if i fall off, they stop moving straight away and sniff me and see if im hurt. if they can tell that im scared, they wont do the thing. if they bite me or kick me or stand on my feet, they always move away from wherever theyve hurt me and nuzzle up against me. theyre just really big teddy bears. my pony was abused for years before we got him. i was 2 when we got him and he always looked after me and only let me near him. hed freak out if any adult tried to do anything with him, but hed let me crawl underneath him and clutch onto his legs and basically slap him as i tried to pat him. even after being abused for years.my mums horse is about 16 hands (162cm or 5 foot 4) AND an ex-racehorse and hes such a sweetie. he was psycho when we got him (as most ex-racehorses are) and mum couldnt even lead him without him freaking out and trying to run away. he didnt care about me or my little brother sitting under him and ramming toy trucks and cars into his legs though. also have you seen their eyes? theyre so calm and gentle, and their eyes are so w a r m. theyre basically human eyes but with a horizontal line as a pupil and so many patterns.the whole 'im gonna fall off' is a thing a lot of people think when they first start riding or ride a new horse, i know that ive thought it plenty. its less than likely though. if youve got an experienced rider with you then they can usually help you ride in the safest way possible and learn how to not feel lije youre gonna fall off. horses have a pattern for how they move with each gait, and if you know that then you can find it a lot easier to eliminate that fear of falling off.i may have gone a little overboard here, but horses are a constant in my life and they mean a lot to me and i want to help people not be scared of them because realistically, there isnt much to be afraid of.
