an alternate (significantly sillier) way to get Izzy onto the revenge in S1E2:

Izzy: alright, crew, you have TWO HOURS to mess around while we trade with the islanders. I expect you all to be on your best behaviour, and back on time, or we LEAVE YOU BEHIND, YOU UNDERSTAND?

[the crew chorus in agreement like a bunch of school kids]

Izzy: Fang, I expect you to count them back. It'll be bad for moral if we actually leave anyone behind

[play the episode, buying the hostages, dealing with Stede, etc]

Fang: OK, that's cargo all loaded and the last of the crew back aboard, we are good to sail!

[cue a very slow, drawn out scene of them raising the anchor]

Fang: you know, I can't help but feel we've forgotten something

Ivan: You know you worry about these things, I'm sure it's fine. Can't be anything important anyway, Izzy would have yelled at you about it by now.

Fang: ...

Ivan: ...

Both: IZZY

Izzy, who had gone back with the extra gold for the unexpected hostages, now watching his ship sail away: YOU TWATS!!!! USELESS FUCKING FUCKERS!!!!!! YOU FORGOT ME!!

#this is perhaps the stupidest thing i have ever posted #get home alone-ed idiot #(i say with the utmost affection for him <3)#nyxtalks #ofmd #our flag means death #izzy hands #israel hands #fang ofmd #ivan ofmd #ofmd ivan #ofmd fang #(how are we tagging them lads i dont know <3)#ANYWAY then izzy scrambles across the island to arrive at the revenge right as they get her back in the water again #he threatens his way into getting aboard #(stede is still sorta revelling in the high of their spat & hasnt reached fully bitchy to him yet. kinda into it (gay awakening style))#and the next several episodes are spent trying to get izzy home #its incredibly slapstick. they miss each other by inches. the crew are trying their best to get rid of izzy but stede kinda likes the guy #and hes growing on the others too. not so bad when you get past the instinct to bite when cornered #nobody has told ed they lost izzy either. so hes being all miserable in his cabin while ivan & fang try and run the queen on their own #(and grow to appreciate izzys job a LOT more)#it takes ed a good couple days to realise izzy hasnt been in to pester him recently #... and hey- theyre sailing in some really weird patterns; huh?#how this resolves though. i do not know #but in my heart its steddyhands again <3 #(this is related to the previous post but mostly just. its own thing)
