ruby was terrified of alistair, and rightfully so, as he’s the one who turned her soul into a demon. ruby was terrified of angels, and rightfully so, as they could smite her with a touch, “smite first and ask questions later”. and yet when faced with prospect of going head to head with either of them, she stood her ground, she didn’t run. and if we don’t all learn something from that kind of bravery, then what are we doing with our lives?
