West has not made any comments about the end of this partnership; however, Adidas claims they will not support or tolerate West’s hateful and dangerous comments.

This is not the first time there has been conflict with the partnership. Earlier in the year, West had accused Adidas of leaving him out of Yeezy planning. The frustration occurred when Adidas made a shoe like West’s designs for Yeezy and he was left out of Yeezy Day. However, based on new information, Adidas owns most rights to West’s designs and the patents to his brand, Yeezy; therefore, West can not put a lawsuit against Adidas.

Adidas is one of the last companies to end a partnership with West. Companies like Balenciaga, Gap, Footlocker and Peloton have ended partnership with West due to the hate comments against the Jewish community and his “white lives matter” stunt. It also appeared that West’s statements could have been the cause of terminating representation for the law firm representing him during West’s divorce. It is unclear if this is the direct reason because they have not stated on the matter.
