করোনা উপসর্গ নিয়ে মারা গেলেন নগর বিএনপির সহ-সভাপতি লায়ন মো. কামাল উদ্দিন (ইন্না লিল্লাহে ওয়া ইন্না ইলাইহে রাজিউন)। মৃত্যুকালে তার বয়স হয়েছিল ৬১ বছর। মৃত্যুকা‌লে তি‌নি স্ত্রী, ২ মে‌য়ে ১ ছে‌লে সহ অসংখ্য গুণগ্রাহী রে‌খে যান।

বৃহস্পতিবার (১১ জুন)রাত ২টা ৩০ মি‌নি‌টে সময়ট্রিটমেন্ট হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় তিনি মারা যান।

মৃতের পারিবারিক সূত্রে জানা যায়, মো. কামাল উদ্দিননের করোনা উপসর্গ থাকায় পার্কভিউ, ম্যাক্স, মেট্রোপলিটন হাসপাতালে গেলে কোন হাসপাতাল তাকে ভর্তি নেয়নি । তিনি মা ও শিশু হাসপাতালে ভর্তি নিলেও অক্সিজেন পাননি তিনি। পরে ট্রিটমেন্ট হাসপাতালে মারা যান কামাল উদ্দিন।
