As a paraphrased line went from a Made-For-TV movie about a Miss America from Hawaii in the 1990s: I knew I was blessed I had done four photoshoots with KDKA-TV's Mary Ours in the past.

But after we've done our FIFTH, today, I'd like to thank her for being one of my YINZER Star/Model friends!

A minha mãe usou a mesma capa de argolas durante o seu percurso escolar, decorando-a com recortes de celebridades de revistas, e guardou-a até o ano passado. Porque não lhe dava mais uso decidiu que a ia pôr ao lixo e, porque eu gostei da dedicação a este “projeto” decidi fotografar a capa para preservação, prática (de fotografia) e apresentação básica de produto. Quis ter a certeza que todos os recortes eram visíveis. As fotos foram tiradas e editadas em setembro de 2022.

My mom has used the same binder through her school years, decorating it with magazine cut outs of celebrities, and kept it stored away until last year. Because she saw no use to it anymore she went to through it away and, because i admired the dedication to this “project” I photographed it for preservation, (photo) practice and basic product display. I wanted to make sure all the cut outs were visible. Photos taken and edited in September 2022.

* Thank you to my mom for lending me her binder. Despite her wanting to throw it out, it’s still around due to sentimental value.

Hi! Canon EOS 1300D user right there!

Do you have any tips to do night photography ? I tried the "night" option on my camera but it doesn't seem to work very much and still can't see anything ? Thank you! 💕

Hey there!

Yep, night mode rarely works for me either, so I feel you.

I shoot night photos in manual mode (M), using tripod, and I adjust shutter speed to at least 15 seconds (if it's dusk or a city with lights) and up to 60 seconds if it's full night. More often I'll actually use Bulb mode with a remote or just hold down the shutter myself (I've waited for minutes like that, I do not recommend it if you're impatient or your hands are shaky like mine XD). That's how you get lovely long exposure photos of city lights or smooth water.

Other optimal settings - a lens with a fast aperture (f/8 or f/11 or higher); low ISO (100-200).

(I'm not really that good at it tbh XD)

However, this is quite the opposite for Moon photography. For moon, you'll need your shutter speed fast (1/100 - 1/500 sec, experiment depending on light and your lens), or else it's just a bright ball with no texture of its craters.
