I didn’t realize it at the time but those fundraisers were incredible. There was a lot of money raised just by fans (1DFansGive!) just out of love and decency. I’m a little fuzzy but I don’t think I remember anyone trying to pressure for attention from the boys so it was so special when Liam said something. There may have been some fanart contests for donating or something but there was thousands raised for important causes. Ahh that was such a positive fandom thing.

It was a really positive thing. And yes, there were various donations made at different times. Fan, art, merch, albums, etc. But the bulk of people just donated to donate. It was a pretty amazing thing that we were able to accomplish. And no,I don’t remember anyone pressuring the boys for acknowledgment. Although we were excited when they did it.

GIVING TUESDAY

The Tuesday after Thanksgiving is designated as Giving Tuesday. Due to Virgin Giving shutting down, the only two active drives are Louis' and Harry's.

1DFansGive and Liam’s 28th Birthday

We’re getting a late start, but it’s that time of year!! Once again, 1DFansGive is supporting The Way Youth Zone to celebrate Liam’s Birthday. 

Liam has supported The Way Youth Zone in Wolverhampton since construction first began on the facility in 2015, even attending their groundbreaking ceremony in April of that year. 

Each Youth Zone provides local young people aged between eight and 19, or up to 25 with a disability, affordable access to high-quality sports, arts and leisure facilities and activities, seven days a week, 52 weeks a year.  This universal offer is complemented by crucial, targeted services that support employability, wellbeing and health, helping those young people who need additional support.

I have had the privilege of visiting The Way in Wolverhampton on two occasions, and not only are the facilities first class, the people I’ve had the opportunity to meet are all wonderfully kind, caring individuals with a true desire to make a difference within the community. 

I hope you will join us once again in supporting The Way and honoring Liam for his kind and generous spirit.

I actually finished this piece on Liam’s birthday just like I intended, but I only just now got around to iron it and take a proper picture. I listened to Liam’s album while stitching and really loved the different purples.

Hi. Hello. Do you see that handsome, charming, funny, delightful boy smiling that gorgeous smile at you? Good. This nugget is turning 26 this year (IN ONE MONTH - RIP WHERE DOES THE TIME GO??) and the ever amazing @1dfansgive is raising money for his birthday.

The charity selected for Neil this year is dedicated to cancer research for UK kids and teens. It’s an incredible cause and one I know Nialler would be thrilled we’re supporting!

Niall’s goal is set at $1,000 which is not nothing y’all, but I know this fandom and I know we can do INCREDIBLE things when we come together so it is my personal goal to try and help Niall’s charity raise $2,600+ in the next 30 days.
