You very rarely see unmarked Marcello Fantoni pieces here in the UK, so this was a nice suprise. Its pretty substantial sitting 33cm high 22cm wide, its certainly a statement centrepiece. A new Bitossi vase arrived this week. I’m a bit of a fan of this shape and I ‘collect them’ so if anyone has one I’m your man. A fantastic Bitossi it’s landed in my home in the summer. Kindly gifted to me by a special family. It’s a limited re-edition, produced in 2008. It’s my most treasured piece. This little guy flew into my nest today. I’ve not had one for a while. It’s a Bitossi Gallina hen/ bird. Designed and manufactured between 61-65, this larger example at 24cm, with a Kelly green, blu and red glaze is uncommon and not really found outside of Bitossi collections anymore.
