30 yard dumpster For rental in San Jose
When it comes to tackling large-scale renovations, construction projects, or major cleanouts, a standard dumpster just won't cut it. That's where the mighty 30 yard dumpster rental comes in. Here in San Jose, with its vibrant construction scene and growing population, these behemoths of waste disposal are a common sight. But before you dive headfirst into renting a 30-yard dumpster, this guide from Next Door Dumpster will equip you with all the essential information.
When is a 30 Yard Dumpster Rental Right for You?
Imagine a massive mountain of debris – drywall scraps, roofing shingles, old furniture, yard waste – the kind that would take countless trips to the landfill to dispose of. That's the ideal scenario for a 30-yard dumpster rental. Here are some common situations where this rental size shines:
Large-scale construction projects: Whether you're building a new home addition, renovating a commercial space, or undertaking a significant demolition job, a 30-yard dumpster can handle a substantial volume of construction debris like concrete, wood, and roofing materials.
Major home renovations: Extensive kitchen or bathroom remodels, whole-house flooring replacements, or large-scale landscaping projects can generate significant waste. A 30-yard dumpster will ensure you have ample space to dispose of everything efficiently.
Estate cleanouts or hoarding situations: When dealing with the belongings of a loved one or tackling a hoarding situation, a 30-yard dumpster can be invaluable for managing the sheer volume of furniture, appliances, and general household items.
Yard cleanups and landscaping projects: Extensive yard renovations, large tree removals, or clearing overgrown lots can generate a surprising amount of debris. A 3 yard dumpster can accommodate branches, leaves, and other yard waste.
What Can (and Can't) Go in a 30 Yard Dumpster?
Before you start tossing everything in sight, it's crucial to understand what materials are typically accepted in a 30-yard dumpster rental. Most companies will allow common construction and demolition debris, including wood, concrete, drywall, roofing materials, and yard waste. However, there are often restrictions on specific items:
Hazardous materials: Paint, chemicals, solvents, asbestos, and other hazardous materials require special disposal procedures. Contact your rental company for guidance.
Electronics: Electronic waste (e-waste) like TVs, computers, and monitors typically need to be recycled separately.
Appliances: Appliances may contain hazardous materials like refrigerants and require specific disposal methods.
Tires: Most companies charge extra fees for tire disposal due to recycling regulations.
Food waste: Food scraps and other organic materials often go to composting facilities and are not accepted in dumpsters.
What to Consider When Renting a 30 Yard Dumpster in San Jose
Here are some key factors to keep in mind when renting a 30-yard dumpster in San Jose:
Permits: Depending on your location and project type, you might need a permit to place a dumpster on public property. Check with your local city or county office to determine if a permit is required.
Delivery and pick-up: Factor in the delivery and pick-up fees, as well as the rental period. Some companies offer flexible rental periods, while others have minimum rental durations.
Weight limitations: Most companies have weight limits for their dumpsters. Be sure to estimate the weight of your debris beforehand to avoid exceeding the limit and incurring additional charges.
Accessibility: Consider the location of the dumpster on your property. Ensure it's easily accessible for loading debris and doesn't block driveways or walkways.

Friday, July 26th, 2024.
Do you like coffee? I do.
Do your eyes ever twitch? Sometimes.
Do you get excited when you get something in the mail that isn’t a bill? No. Because if it's not a bill, then it's probably paperwork of some sort and I hate paperwork.
What was the last thing you wrote by hand? I signed out after volunteering earlier.
Why did you last feel exhausted? I currently feel somewhat emotionally/socially exhausted. Sometimes things just get to me. It's been a day like any other - nothing all that different or out of the ordinary has happened - but it's like my defenses/reserves just aren't functioning the way they usually do. It's exhausting to try so hard, to continue putting myself out there, but to still feel like a permanent outcast.
Have you ever used emotional blackmail to get your own way? I'm not sure what you mean by emotional blackmail, but have I ever been emotionally manipulative? Sure.
Has anybody ever used emotional blackmail on you? I guess.
Assuming you have any, is your hair soft today? Not really. My hair always feels so dry.
Who did you last worry about and why? I'm not sure who that would have been.
When are you next at work? I'm just going to answer work-related questions with my volunteer stuff from now on. I'll be there again on Sunday, probably for a full day.
Do you enjoy your work? Yeah. I get to spend my day around a ton of cats, and the actual "work" aspect is relatively easy and straightforward. I'll give a basic rundown.
Depending on the day, I'll get there sometime between 7-8am.
Start laundry; fold and put away any clean stuff.
If Alex or Diane is there, then I'll go back to cattery around 7:30 and start getting things set up - line up carriers to put the cats in while we clean the colonies + get the dish/scoop/rag/mop bins ready if someone else hasn't already done that.
Clean colonies and kennels from around 8-10:30 (sometimes it takes a bit longer; sometimes it goes by quite quickly). We wipe everything down, refill food and water, scoop litter, change bedding if needed, and sweep and mop colonies.
I don't do all of the following tasks - it's kind of divided up between whoever is there - but then we wash dishes and scoops, sweep and mop the main room, clean out and put away carriers, take out the trash, and straighten things up.
Then we chill out for a bit and play with the kitties. Go to lunch sometime around 11-12pm.
Come back, continue to chill; help direct other volunteers or anyone looking to adopt.
I think around 2pm is the afternoon feed, so we'll feed the cats, let them eat, pick up and wash dishes. They let me feed yesterday, so that was cool. :')
3pm, second litter scoop + clean scoops afterward.
Shortly before 4pm, go get Smeagle from the office and put him back in his cattery kennel.
4pm, go around the whole shelter and empty and replace trash bags, then take trash out to the big dumpster.
Around 4:30-5pm, see if the dog side needs any help with things; so maybe do dishes, fill water bowls, mop and dry kennels, pick up stuff from the yards, take stuff to the back to spray it down, etc.
Annnd get out whenever all that's finished and final checks are done. Sometimes it's close to 6pm, but yesterday we managed to get out of there at 5:15.
Are you currently looking for a new place to live? No.
When was the last time you ate/drank something gross just to be polite? I'm not sure. I don't tend to put myself in that sort of situation.
Can you see any toys from where you’re sat? Do stuffed animals count? I can see a couple of those.
Last time you heard a growl, who or what did it come from? Probably a cat at the shelter.
Does it bother you when you forget something that you should know? Yeah. Or whenever I forget to do or mess up something simple.
What was the last thing you put off doing? Cleaning the bathroom. I'll do that when I'm finished here, though.
When did you last make up a baby’s bottle? I've never done that before.
What was the last thing you cooked? I haven't done any real cooking in quite some time. Most I'll do is heat stuff up on the stove/in the oven or put something in the microwave.
Do you eat your dinner at a dining table, coffee table or just off your lap? I usually eat in my room, at my computer desk. Sometimes I'll eat at the kitchen table and chat with my dad, though. Especially after full days at the shelter because it's pretty much like - get home, shower, eat, get ready to go to bed.
When did you last see the sea? Not since I was a teen.
Which would you prefer as a view; mountains or the sea? Mountains.
Do you have a mouse for your laptop? (Assuming you have a laptop) I don't have a laptop.
Do you apologise a lot? Not excessively…? I mostly just use it as a variation of "excuse me" if I accidentally get in someone's way or whatever.
Do you have any framed black & white photos in your home? Who are they of? No.

File This Under: Things you couldn't possibly make up
Police: Teenage Son of Homeless Advocate Kills Homeless Man for Raping Girlfriend
The teenage son of a Pennsylvania homeless advocate has been charged with the murder of a homeless man who he claims sexually assaulted his girlfriend, police say.
Investigators said Thomas James Niarhos Jr.,15, shot Jeremiah Waylon Hawkins, 39, in the face at point-blank range on Wednesday afternoon in Pottstown, the Montgomery Daily Voice reported.
After the alleged shooting, the boy reportedly yelled out, “He’s a rapist, don’t feel sorry for him,” according to court documents obtained by the local outlet.
On July 13, Niarhos was reportedly caught loitering by cops close to where the fatal shooting took place months later, just yards away from the Pottstown Police station. When approached by officers that day, the teen reportedly told officers that Hawkins had raped his girlfriend behind a nearby dumpster.
Around noon on Wednesday, Niarhos returned to the same spot with his father’s .40 caliber Smith & Wesson semi-automatic firearm, and got into a physical altercation with Hawkins, surveillance footage and a probable cause affidavit obtained by the outlet showed.
“Niarhos is seen extending his arm towards Hawkins, who then tries to knock the gun out of his hands using a bicycle tire,” the Voice reported.
The boy then fired two shots, with the first knocking Hawkins to the ground, and the second one killing him, police said.
Upon arrival to the scene, cops say they discovered a group of witnesses restraining Niarhos, while he shouted, “He’s a rapist, don’t feel sorry for him,” and “He raped a 15-year-old girl, don’t help him.”
Niarhos’ girlfriend, now 16, and her mother, were contacted by Pottstown Police on July 13 after hearing about the rape accusation. While court documents revealed that the girl told her mother that “something had happened to her,” the family did not press charges.
The owner of the gun, Niarhos Sr., is the executive director of Pottstown Beacon of Hope, an organization that assists “Pottstown residents experiencing homelessness,” according to its website.
The father told police that his son was apparently planning to turn to a life on the streets, reporting that “he found a note in his son’s bedroom indicating that his son planned to run away and located a packed bag of clothes and a cellular phone charger in his son’s bedroom,” the affidavit said.
The local outlet reported the boy had “only been living with his father since the start of the summer.”
Niarhos Jr. was charged as an adult with first-degree murder, third-degree murder, possessing a firearm by a minor, possessing an instrument of crime, and other charges.
He is being held without bail at the Montgomery County Youth Center, and his next court date is set for November 30.

OOOOH OK!!!!! WAIT WAIT HOLD ON
Scourge
They/it (he/him can be used but it’s like. Once in a blue moon type of thing lol)
They like eating the leftover chicken tenders out of dumpsters because it still reminds it of that stepping stone, that one cat who gave them food. It’s almost like something to help it remember who they was and who it is now.
They says their favourite color is black or red, but it’s really just hot pink because it pairs well with its fur.
Lykoi!!!!! They are a scrawny lykoi to me
I didn’t get the bloodthirsty murderer since he’s only like killed two cats.. it only kills when necessary because its dark reputation already intimidates most cats.
His tooth studded collar resembles ruby’s gem studded collar, which they doesn’t see at all. Anyone else who knew ruby as a kit would disagree.
Smells of GARBAGE and GASOLINE and DUMPSTER WATER
Hoards the gender….
Ruby
They/she/he
She’s actually pretty disheveled most of the time, she was either exploring the yard or playing with toys.
Now as an adult….still very dishevelled.
The rubies in their collar were lost after her encounter with scourge. Some holes are found in her collar.
Very sensitive to light,,, loves loud music it vibrates nicely (I’m not projecting here shhhhh)
Only found out they were nonbinary in like late cat 30s
Smells like catnip
Biggest out of the three
Socks
He/him
Stinky guy!!!! Loves to knock over stuff and meow a lot me thinks
He has gone through multiple owners because of this
The owners named him socks first because quince had the kits in a laundry basket and he was found crawling into a sock
Loves the sky and the stars,, finds meteors a bit scary though
Very hyper and loves to bounce around the house
He has multiple names by multiple owners including but not limited to:

The Power of the 30 Yard Dumpster: A Titan of Trash Removal
A 30 yard dumpster rental boasts an impressive capacity, holding roughly 14-16 pickup truck loads of debris. That translates to approximately 170-190 standard 33-gallon trash bags, a true game-changer for tackling substantial waste removal projects.
Here's where the magic happens:
Construction and Demolition Debris:
From roofing shingles and drywall scraps to lumber and concrete chunks, a 30 yard dumpster rental can handle the hefty waste generated by construction and demolition projects.
Home Renovations:
Whether you're undergoing a kitchen overhaul, a bathroom refresh, or a complete home transformation, a 30 yard dumpster rental provides ample space for disposing of old cabinets, flooring remnants, and general renovation debris.
Yard Waste Removal:
Spring cleaning your landscaping can unearth a surprising amount of yard waste. A 30 yard dumpster rental provides the perfect solution for disposing of branches, leaves, grass clippings, and even small tree stumps (with size limitations).
Large Appliance Disposal:
Replacing your old refrigerator or washer? A 30 yard dumpster rental eliminates the hassle of appliance disposal. [Questionable] (**Always check local regulations regarding appliance disposal, as some may require specific recycling procedures.)
Estate Cleanouts:
Clearing out an inherited property or tackling a long-neglected attic can generate significant volumes of unwanted items. A 30 yard dumpster rental simplifies the decluttering process, allowing you to dispose of furniture, old electronics, and miscellaneous household items efficiently.
But wait, there's more! A 30 yard dumpster rental isn't just about capacity; it offers several key advantages that make it a superior choice for large-scale waste removal:
Convenience:
Nextdoor Dumpster delivers the dumpster directly to your designated location, eliminating the need for multiple trips to the landfill. Once you've filled it up, we handle the pickup and disposal, saving you time and effort.
Efficiency:
A 30 yard dumpster rental allows you to consolidate all your waste disposal needs into a single, convenient location. This eliminates the need for multiple trash bags or overflowing bins, keeping your project area clean and organized.
Cost-Effectiveness:
While the initial cost of a 30 yard dumpster rental may seem higher than traditional disposal methods, it can significantly reduce overall project costs. By avoiding numerous trips to the landfill and potential disposal fees, you can achieve significant cost savings.
Environmental Responsibility:
Nextdoor Dumpster prioritizes responsible waste disposal practices. We sort and recycle eligible materials whenever possible, minimizing the environmental impact of your project.
The Art of Choosing the Right 30 Yard Dumpster Rental
Now that you're armed with the knowledge of the 30 yard dumpster rental's power, let's delve into the nitty-gritty of selecting the perfect dumpster for your needs.
Project Scope:
Accurately assess the amount of debris your project will generate. While a 30 yard dumpster rental offers impressive capacity, overfilling it can incur additional charges.
Debris Type:
Nextdoor Dumpster accepts a wide variety of materials, but there may be restrictions on certain items like hazardous waste, electronics, and paint. Familiarize yourself with our disposal guidelines before filling the dumpster.
Delivery Location:
Ensure you have adequate space on your property to accommodate a 30 yard dumpster. Clear any obstacles like low-hanging wires or parked vehicles from the designated delivery location.

Homeless and outside of society
Sunday June 9 2019. 10:49pm
Notes:  My friend MAC had been drugged, dumped in a dumpster. His car was stolen. His phone was in his car. This was on 9th street near the highway 99 over crossing. Poor side of Modesto .Somehow, MAC made it the 5 miles to my house. A neighbor saw MAC acting oddly in my front yard and called the police. I wasn’t home. The police left me a voice mail that MAC was at Queen Bean Coffee house. I drove there. He was near incoherent. I had bought the car that was stolen from him. A  black 2000 Ford Focus. I helped him to get a driver’s license. He was homeless. He lived in that car I think at times. He used it to help out other homeless with rides. That’s why I called it the Ark. The car had a lot of mechanical problems. In the end, it was left in front of my house for months and finally towed. MAC and I met in 2010. He lived with me in my house off and on from then until December 2014. We remain friends. He is still homeless.
So, here is part of the 6/9/2019 entry:
So, MAC was lost and wondering around until 3:30 or 4pm.
Doctor’s hospital—police in front of my house—the neighbor who called them Queen Bean Coffee House staff—all, just let MAC swing in the wind—until I showed up. My neighbor who is a nurse said “ER”., So, I drove MAC to Kaiser ER. Sheriff’s Officer, appeared. Kaiser staff treated and kept MAC. The Doctor thought  he was tweaking. MAC's symptoms were severe and extreme. Jolting of the torso. Loss of motor control. Hand control. Incoherence and confusion.
So, back to the beginning:
6/9/2019. Sunday. 8:51pm.
Kaiser Hospital. Here with MAC who sleeps. He may have been drugged and rolled. He had been dumped in a dumpster. His car was stolen, and his phone. Really fucked up disaster. Really, really a tragic mess. Very sad.
He was helping people. Billy and another person, slept all night in the car with MAC at the California Motel on 9th street.
June 11, 2019. Tuesday 11:29pm
Aaron’s the hero. Thought he saw MAC’s car across from the El Capitan Motel. Told us as we were headed to the California Inn looking for the car. As we waited for the police, Billy showed up . Gave MAC the car key. Billy talked about giving MAC Narco, laying MAC out on the ground, and stealing MAC’s car. When MAC told Billy the police were on the way, Billy ran. Police showed and  found Billie’s mail in MAC’s car. AMAZING.  Car was fine!  Thank God.
MAC and I talked about how Kaiser Hospital forced MAC out. He didn’t know what say to stay in the hospital. Doctors kicked him out in 2 hours saying he could care for himself. Even the Sheriff’s officer stopped returning my calls. Last night, I told him that  the car was returned. Billy was never arrested or prosecuted. The State tends not to investigate nor prosecute crimes involving only the homeless.
But, MAC and I moved through it. We did what we had to do.
End of entries
Note:  By June of 2019 I had been working with the homeless for over 3 years. In the many encounters I had with the homeless during that time, some encounters also involved interactions with the police. And with medical care , including drug rehabilitation and hospital visits with the homeless. I found that when I aligned myself with the homeless, I tended to be treated like the homeless were treated. In the case of MAC getting drugged, getting his car stolen and ending up in Kaiser hospital, the sheriff officer who arrived at the hospital regarding the car theft incident, focused his investigation on me, as if I was the perpetrator. This took place as we were standing feet away where MAC was lying incoherent on a bed behind a curtain. While the officer interrogated me, the hospital staff shoved a catheter up MAC’s penus to get a sample. MAC began screaming in agony. The staff did this to see if MAC was under the influence of heoin.  I was a Kaiser member at the time, but left Kaiser as a result of that act.

This is the story of when they had to evacuate a city block in Baltimore because of a smell I made.
We were starting construction on a new restaurant location they were expanding and I was the GM for the new location so we got to work clearing out the mess left by the last restaurant. They were a bakery and out back there was a dumpster. They closed two years before. Not sure why it was there considering this alley basically has no street access other than a tiny door for I assume fire code reasons. Honestly I don’t know how they got it in there we had to cut it up with a torch to get rid of it.
It was full of dough and water we figured we could use the dumpster for something so we got to work tipping it over to get the water out. It was not water it was liquified rat. Hundreds of liquified rats. The three of us all began projectile vomiting immediately, before my brain could process the smell. It was a smell so strong you could feel it deep inside your chest and no amount of vomiting made it go away.
There were so many goddamn rat bones. They snuck in to eat the rotting dough and got stuck and drowned in what I’m assuming was a combination of rain water and soup made of their friends.
Covered in vomit and rat juice we did our best to regain our composure we went to the front of the building and tried to smoke cigarettes but they just tasted like death. It had been about a minute since we tipped the dumpster over and we heard screaming from around the corner. You see we weren’t the only ones projectile vomiting in fact most of the people on the street were and those that weren’t were running and screaming. Everywhere you looked people were wrenching I watched a little old lady get down on her knees and just erupt into a planter.
Then the fire department and the police and ambulances showed up. They cleared out everyone they could so they could hose down the streets and eventually came to the scene of the crime. A firefighter vomited into to his respirator. This got everyone including us into a vomitous fervor again but at least we were in the alley behind the restaurant to hide our shame.
“I’ve been a cop in Baltimore city for 30 years and I found a dead body that had been sitting in a vacant house for a month last week and this smells worse”
After a day of professional cleanup the city didn’t blame us because it was the trash of the previous owner. My wife made me take the train home instead of my car because I had a stench that literally woke nodding heroin addicts and made them move to another car. My wife made me strip in the yard and sprayed me with a hose. The clothes were destroyed, I even had to buy a new phone because it always carried the faintest hint of death smell. That was the worst thing I have ever smelled and I pray to god I never smell anything worse.
My personal theory is that there was still active yeast in the dough and it was fermenting the sugars from the rat corpses.
