Reaching for the clouds
Chromos Tower's top floors are almost reaching the low clouds. Almost, they're at 60 meters (200 ft), only, not really that high up. The tower was constructed in 1989, it was originally the main headquarters of Chromos chemical corporation, after which it was named. January 2023.
Taken with Soligor AF-34 compact point-and-shoot film camera, with its 30mm F4.5 lens, on a short roll of AgfaPhoto APX 400 black and white film. Developed in Adox Adonal, 1+50 dilution, at 21°C. Scanned with Plustek OpticFilm 8100 film scanner, using VueScan 9.5.

Old Repair Shop - 2022 - 16mm - NIKOMAT
I was working on a movie that I can’t say the name yet for confidentiality reasons, but for now it’s the “Untitled North Miami Project”
My first ever feature film I got to work on and get paid. It was a beautiful experience. That’s for another post haha
But I ended up in this repair shop on my way to work on set, saw this area and I just needed to capture it.
What does the picture make you think of ?
~ me I think, disorganization, the old keeping up with the new. It’s kinda cathartic but I like the photo. To me, it came out beautiful.

MY NAME IS WHATEVER YOU DECIDE | A WORK IN PROGRESS
Sure enough, you turned the corner to hole eight to see a group of young men talking and laughing around their own golf cart. You saw some familiar faces, all known for being young, handsome and rich.
Billy Hargrove of Hargrove’s Vintage Motors. Crude, sharp witted, too flirtatious, he was the next in line to take over his father’s company and fortune, selling refurbished vehicles for prices that made your eyes water.
Jonathan Byers was there too, a young mogul who was up and coming in the art world. Once a critic, his photography had shot to fame after some black and white nudes of his then girlfriend were ‘leaked’ to the paper he once worked for. His family paid it all off as some sort of art nouveau exhibition, a look into scandal and sex in 30mm film. He lost his girlfriend but landed a gallery in the downtown neighbourhood of San Francisco.
Eddie Munson, someone you actually knew from high school. A decent guy, there because he worked for it, illegally, sure - but didn’t they all? One way or another? Selling weed and who knows what else to the majority of the population of Hawkins made for a popular man, but Eddie brought in bank when he started selling to the elite, the rich kids of Hawkins High who preferred powder at their parties. He got into The Lake House with cold, hard cash instead of his family name and he stayed in the background of it, usually.

Hi! I like your work, and was wondering if you could share a bit about your process? What gear and software do you use, and how do you make your color grading so damn pretty?
I use a Canon 60D that I've had for just about ten years now. Currently using a 30mm Sigma lens.
My process usually consists of biking around taking pictures trying not to crash and then editing the photos in Lightroom. In Lightroom I usually use Eric Kim's film presets.

I am really excited to have my first fully manual focus lens for my Sony A6600, the TTartisan 25mm F2.0 (37mm equivalent) . Small size(almost a pancake lens), clicked aperture ring, super smooth focus ring, fully meddle body, It was boring to shoot street photography pictures on auto mode, modern cameras are over smart, you know what I mean, it stops you from controlling the camera by yourself. Even you can use fully M mode, however, the focus rings are digitalized on most auto-focus lenses today. What I most care about is the size, the Sigma F1.4 quad (16mm, 23mm, 30mm, 56mm) is wonderful, except for the size. And the image quality is better than Sony 20mmF2.8 which is a pancake lens too. Overall, it is my dream lens for street photography. @ttartisanofficial #streetphotography #film #sonya6600 #ttartisan #ttartisan25f2 #胡同 #instastory #instadaily #oldtown #oldschool #chineseculture #cantoneselifestyle (at 广州佛山顺德) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cq7c4jcuBPR/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
