„Are you home?“ I write, hands shaking, heart about to jump out my chest.

„Yes“ and „why?“ are his immediate responses.

I take a long breath and then type “ok… I know this isn’t usually how we are but… I don’t know what to do or where to go I just know I can’t be alone right now. And.. well… you’re the closest to where I am…”

Pause.

Endless seconds.

Oh god, he’s gonna say no, I know it! FUCK. Why did I ever think he would…

“Come over!”

“Adress is still the same”

His responses shock me. But I haven’t been this happy in a very long time.

10 minutes later I arrive at his door. I’m still shaking. It’s 35degrees. The middle of june. And I’m shaking like I’m about to freeze to death. What was I thinking? Why am I here? Is it too late to just go home..?

No! I tell myself that this is good! It is what I want!

I press the doorbell.

It rings.

He opens.

As I’m coming up the stairs he’s waiting with a concerned look on his face.

“Are you ok? What happened?”

I hug him.

Tight!

He laughs a little.

Trying to close the door he starts again: “what’s wrong?”

“No talking! Just… hug me please”

His grip tightens.

That’s where we stay… for what feels like hours or days.

Unable to move
