4cl lavender double syrup
4cl lemon juice
4cl green gin
Club soda
On a big chunk of ice I poured the syrup then slowly the lemon juice and gin. Added club soda even slower to keep layers separated. Decorated it with rose petals. Stir before drinking it’s even more gorgeous like that!

25 éves házassági kajálás kettesben. Silberhochzeitdinner zu Zweit.
Elbasztam a fényképet. Elmentünk a Lancelotba kajálni sokat. Itt a képen a a tál, mind megettünk, Hát. Utána küldtünk egy üveg bort, mert kívánta. Jó volt az is. Elsétáltunk az Oktogonig, mert a páromnak volt valami régi emléke egy cukrászda meg a gesztenyés szelet, de már a cuki sem volt meg. A nyugatinál még van 25 perc hogy igyunk egy keserűt. Ott van az a hely , valami zsiráf Leginkább egy Fernet-re vágytam (ismeretlen gyógynövény tartalmú szeszes ital). Nincs, gyomor keserű van unicum vagy Jäger. Ah, akkor egy konyak. Csak Henessy. Eh oké. Előveszi a csávó a repoharat. Mondom nemár. Itt vagyok a pultnál, adja már konyakos pohárba. Nincs. Akkor inkább veszek a restiben egy dobozos sört, de nem iszom 4cl rumot egy fél literes repohárból.
Felmegyünk a vonat szintre. Nincs resti. Nincs utasellátó. Nem lehet sört venni a nyugtiban este 9-kor.
Srácok, sokat fejlődött az ország az elmúlt évben, de azért hagy kérdezzem már nem meg, hogy mi a picsa.

GRATIN DE FRUITS D'HIVER AU GRAND MARNIER
Un dessert facile, rapide et bon marché à réaliser, et qui plus est, particulièrement délicieux !
NGRÉDIENTS pour 4 personnes
🔸️Pour les fruits macérés       3 kiwis                                             3 clémentines                               3 bananes                                       4cl de liqueur grand marnier
🔸️Pour le gratin                         3 oeufs                                            60 g de sucre                                 3 cl de liqueur grand marnier®
PRÉPARATION
🔸️Coupez les bananes en rondelles, les kiwis en cube et les quartiers de clémentines en deux.
🔸️Mélangez avec la liqueur Grand Marnier®.
🔸️Montez les blancs en ajoutant progressivement le sucre. Ajoutez la liqueur Grand Marnier® puis les jaunes en continuant à mélanger au batteur. Ne fouettez pas trop car le gratin retomberait et deviendrait liquide !
🔸️Mélangez délicatement avec les fruits. Disposez dans un plat et gratinez au grill jusqu’à ce que la couleur soit dorée et régulière. Servez aussitôt.
❗️L'ASTUCE
Si vous aussi, vous n’avez pas le temps, ni même l’envie, de courir dans tous les sens, faites votre réserve de fruits surgelés. Vous pouvez, bien sûr, prendre les fruits qui vous conviennent. En Été, prenez des fraises et des framboises.
Et si vous n’avez pas de grill, peu importe, vous pouvez utiliser un petit chalumeau pour colorer le gratin. Grâce à ce mode de cuisson vous découvrirez des arômes cachés de la maturation en fût de chêne de Grand Marnier®.

It is really really really really really interesting to read these old chemistry guides with a knowledge of geology. By functionally ignoring the words and focusing on the reactions that are happening, you can piece together the real minerals despite the translators' struggles for the right word.

Like here, "Zungufr" is clearly "red ????". The translators (there were two translations before this one) likely didn't have a knowledge of mineralogy. From the rest of the text, I'm fairly certain Copper acetate is either Copper Acetate or Copper Nitrate, to be added with (NH)4Cl and Malachite (Hydrated Copper Carbonate). However, the end result via the translator is Cinnabar - which is a theoretically reasonable guess. Natural cinnabar is red, and so is arsenic sulfide. However, there's literally no As or Hg in this equation, which means that the result is the red Copper Oxide mineral, CuO. Cuprite.

Likewise, you have "The Calcination of Lapis Lazuli", which I thought was interesting in the first place, because in the beginning of the text, Al-Razi describes all the reagents. (21) The translator decided to stick with Lapis Lazuli, although seemingly aware that Azurite and Lapis Lazuli are not even close to the same mineral.

However, when you look at the minerals in 21, something doesn't add up. I was already suspicious of the Lapis Lazuli description, but something was clearly wrong in 21. Neither Lapis nor Hematite have copper, or are "oily/vitreous" minerals. Plus, they already described "Iron Oxides" above this point. Which makes it much more likely that "Lapis Lazuli" actually means Azurite, and Hematite is actually describing Sphalerite, (Zn,Fe)S, and Al-Razi prefers the Fe-rich Sphalerite.
This was also supported by his description of several "zinc ore" minerals, but I couldn't find a good description of sphalerite among them. Then I realized that what Al-Razi was really describing were different variations of Zinc Oxides, and separating out Zinc Sulfides.

Talc does NOT glitter. And there's no reason to differentiate "sea-talc" and "mountain-talc". But there would be if you knew there were Fe-Micas and Mg-Micas! (Or even just the straight Al-Mica.)
But to be clear, this is not the fault of the translators!! The fact they got close enough I can recognize the errors and described the mineral well enough I can recognize these reactions are a blessing in and of itself.

Un cocktail aux diverses histoires 🍸
(Pour 1 personne)
4cl de vodka
12cl de jus de tomates
1/2cl de jus de citron
1/2cl (Sauce worcestershire)
2 gouttes de Tabasco
(Sel de céleri)
Sel
Poivre
De quel cocktail s’agit-il a votre avis ?
Et oui c’est le fameux Bloody Mary
Préparation :
Réalisez la recette "Bloody Mary" dans un verre à mélange.
Agiter les ingrédients dans un verre à mélange avec des glaçons (pour refroidir sans trop diluer). Verser dans le verre, puis ajouter à convenance sel de céleri, sel et poivre. Décorer avec une tige de céleri et optionellement, une rondelle de citron. Servir. .
Servir dans un verre de type "tumbler".
Décorer d'une branche de celeri.

Il est le cocktail de toutes les légendes. Le bloody mary bénéficie depuis sa création, au XXe siècle, d'une rare littérature. Genèse, recette, personnages historiques... La boisson s'est abreuvée en quelques décennies de nombreuses histoires, devenant tantôt l'invention de Sir Ernest Hemingway tantôt la décoction préférée de Serge Gainsbourg. Mais qu'en est-il en réalité?
