‘Indian AWD Challenge’ is an endurance challenge of 4×4 vehicles organized by AUTOBOT INDIA & OFFRTAILS

ABOUT EVENT 

Indian AWD Challenge, is hardcore professional endurance challenge and a premium competitive event for 4×4 vehicles organized by AUTOBOT INDIA & OFFTRAILS, across four natural terrains in India such as SLUSH (Coorg), DUST (Mulbagal) SAND (Jaipur) and SNOW (Manali). IAWD challenge is designed in such a way to identify and test the skills of the driver and performance of the machine under 3 stages of natural terrain such as Obstacle, Speed, and Difficulty.  The participants will compete to prove their driving skills and endurance capability to grab the prestigious awards, which are presented in recognition of Best Time, Driving Skills, Vehicle Recovery and Obstacle Clearing.

OBJECTIVE

The objective of IAWD Challenge is to place India on International Destinations for Adventure and Off-road Motorsports. To promote automotive industry especially the performance-focused product sector to an exclusive forum for the promotion and testing 4×4 accessories and equipment bringing out the spirit of adventure, skillful and safe driving.

EVENT FORMAT 

IAWD Challenge event is based on 4T format i.e. four terrains (Slush, Sand, Snow, and Dust) where each event having its own specification and experience level. This all format of IAWD give offroaders, rich experience of offroading on natural tracks and challenges to compete accordingly.

IAWD Challenge is very challenging event in itself, which offers a unique platform for participants to experience the account their driving skills and endurance level i.e mentally and physically on very four different natural terrains in India.

  IAWD 4T & DESTINATIONS 

SLUSH (Coorg) – Sept 2017-

The trail is set in Madikeri of Kodagu district,  in the Western Ghats of Karnataka. It is located 268 km from Bangalore and 122 km from Mysore.  It has an elevation of 3838 feet above sea level and it receives an average rainfall of 3555 mm per year.

SAND (Jaipur) – Dec 2017- 

The trail is set in the desert sand dunes of Jaipur in Rajasthan.It is located at an average elevation of 280 meters above sea level and it receives an average rainfall of 280 mm per year.

SNOW (Manali) – Feb 2018 – 

The trail is set in the snow-clad mountains of Himachal Pradesh.It is located at an average elevation of 2300 meter above sea level and it receives an average rainfall of 340 mm per year.

DUST (Mulbagal) – April 2018 –

The trail is set in the dry rocky terrain of Mulbagal in Kolar, 75 km from Bangalore.It is located at an average elevation of 827 meters above sea level and it receives an average rainfall of 2 mm – 171 mm per year.

TRACK

The tracks are differentiated into 3 stages such as Obstacle, Speed, and Difficulty with the natural stream crossing, rocky terrain, boulders, steep climb and decline at an average track length of 4 km and speed variations from 5 km/hr to 100 km/hr.
