Sahara Desert tours by 4×4 – the authentic desert experience Our Sahara Desert tours include the remote Erg Chigaga dunes in the Iriqui National Park. Given our connections to the desert region and our background (read more in the section About Us) we consider this to be the authentic Sahara desert experience. The Erg Chigaga dunes lie in the region west of the village of M’hamid El Ghezlane, within the Iriqui National Park. The dunes of Erg Chigaga are the highlight (2 hours off-road journey from M’hamid village where the tarmac road ends) but the journey across the desert is a wonderful experience and will allow you to appreciate, arguably, some of the finest remote scenery in Morocco. Erg Chigaga dunes reach 300ft in height and span approx. 40km. #4x4tour instago #instagood #trip #holiday #fun #travelling #tourism #tourist #instapassport #passionpassport #mytinyatlas, #instatraveling #mytravelgram #love #igtrave,#desert,#lifestyle,, #camelride,#desertbrise,,#Sahara,#travel, #Morocco. #travel ,#sunset,#night #stars (at Desertbrise Travel) https://www.instagram.com/p/B7rBmaInVtO/?igshid=1sukawbu8o6q0

Travelling Is a School !!!!!!  and Ait Benhaddou sits as if a mirage, in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Its earthen buildings hold memories of this once bustling trading post; a welcome sight to the nomadic travellers trekking across the Sahara Desert. It will enthral and entice you, as it has so many.!!!!!

Entering the hammam is not like leaving it.
You may have heard of it again or you may be wondering what a hammam is? Moroccan hamam is one of the most beloved and most enigmatic experiences for those who have never visited Morocco or never had the opportunity to try a hamam. It is definitely one of the “must to do in Morocco” !!!Not many years ago, people here didn't know what it means to have your own shower or a bath at home. Water, and especially hot water, was a valuable asset before the water heaters appeared. The practical solution to this difficulty in Morocco was Hamam.Today you will find in the Moroccan cities a wide range of hammams. The most traditional ones can be found in every neighborhood. You will also find luxury hammams in the big cities. A third option is that one of the more sophisticated traditional hammam which is more economical than luxury one. Depending of what you choose, your experience will be different. The Arabic word hammam means ''spreader of warmth''. On the one hand, you can literally interpret it, as the hammam consists of different rooms that spread warmth. But there is another kind of warmth in the metaphorical sense: Moroccans go to the hammam to meet their friends and have social contacts: the Moroccans in the hammam set up businesses and even arrange a marriage.Hammam is a very important ritual practice in Muslim culture: Bathing and cleaning are not only an integral part of a Muslim's daily life, but also because the water is considered sacred in Islam.Hamam is probably the oldest tradition in the world that survives up to our days. This ritual dates back to both Ottoman and Roman empires which subsequently spread throughout the world. Especially in the Middle East, it is important for the bride before the wedding to go to the hammam to ensure the smoothness and cleanliness of her skin.

On our way to Taliouine, the heart of Morocco’s saffron producing region. It is a picturesque destination that offers  travellers breathtaking landscapes ,spectacular mountains, colorful fields filled with Crocus Sativus. It is therefore affectionately referred to as the Saffron Capital of Morocco.

The Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO's World Heritage, and is a great example of the architecture of southern Morocco, with its oldest buildings ,constructed of clay brick ,dating from 1600. A way station and trading  post . This magnificent Kasbah is located on the old route of the caravans starting from Marrakech and reaching the Sudan via the Sahara. It is here that I first met this artist and his paintings. He was surrounded by his creations and  in a small table beside him had his brushes and several small cups containing   mainly earthy tones colors  as saffron yellow  and brown, but also  blue and purple. He was painting on a small ivory piece of paper and used yellow to fill in the background. He had a gas stove in front of his feet. When he finished passing the background on the white paper lit the stove, leaving burning with a low flame. Then he took the paper and played gently  the  bottomfor a few seconds over the flame. I saw something magical  to happened , when the brown detail that he previously painted on the paper appearing the Kasbah displayed through the yellow background. This process seemed to me the revelation of a message written in invisible ink.  They called them  pyro aquarelles, these paintings are a common creation of Berber artists in southern Morocco. I bought 2 , one depicts a man leading two camels in front of the Kasbah and the other the same scene with the dunes of Mertzouga for   background, and a third that he gave me as a gift ....with lonely camels in the desert… It was that one  he used to show me the technique.
