Yesterday I did something every professional photographer has done

I had a full day of headshots running from 10:00 in the morning to 16:30 in the afternoon. At 13:42 (looking at the frame timings), I caught my foot in the strap of my H-2S which catapulted my camera to the floor. No swearing, be calm, the next person has entered the room. Italia en furgoneta

Hace unos días volvimos de nuestro viaje con la furgo a Italia. La lluvia nos obligo a terminar el viaje antes de tiempo, pero desde luego que los lugares que vimos de camino fueron espectaculares. 

Cada vez que vuelvo a este país siempre digo lo mismo, y es que da igual a donde mires que todo es bonito. No sé si son los colores de los pueblos, el paisaje, la arquitectura... o el conjunto entero, pero todo es impresionante. 

Empiezo la galería con algunas de mis fotos favoritas del viaje que hice durante las dos horas que visitamos Niza. Desde luego que fue una bonita sorpresa, ya que no me imaginaba que su centro histórico fuera así.

Los pueblos italianos que veréis a continuación son los siguientes: Cervo, Rapallo, Camogli, Portofino, Sta. Margherita Ligure, Riomaggiore, Manerola, Vernazza, Sestri Levante, Florencia, Sorrento y Amalfi.

Finalmente he añadido varias fotos de nuestros últimos días en Calafell, Tarragona.

What is up?

Another past midnight journal entry.

I have been trying to decide which digital camera to bring for the upcoming HK trip with the friends, and I came up with the decision to bring the latest acquisition: the X-Pro 3. However, I have also decided that the primary lens I will be bringing along is the Voigtlander 23mm f/1.2, a manual focus lens for Fuji cameras. I would like to challenge myself on this trip photography-wise and put some creative constraints, at least tool-wise. I will still pack the Fujifilm 56mm f/1.2 though. My friends still deserve a banger of a travel portrait, of course. Or two.

For the analog part, I've decided that I will carry with me the Hasselblad. (Definitely not the Pentax.) And I will also be bringing the M4 as part of reinforcing the the manual focus challenge, and also the Contax T2. And of course, a bunch of film.

Oh, by the way, as part of my quest to finish a bunch of books this year, I've already agreed to buy my colleague's Kindle Paperwhite which he won in the office Christmas raffle. May it help me whip some pages from that reading list.

I have been pretty much consistent using the corresponding notebooks for events, and the other one for diary entries and what not, which is good since I haven't been this active in jotting down my thoughts ever since I dunno... since I maintained a Blogspot? Haha!
