🛳️- ted lasso! i’m a stem girlie, who loves the rain, fall, taylor swift, and ambivert who loves to go out but also is a homebody! 🤍
I think you’re perfect for Roy Kent!! He loves that you’re an ambivert because he always has obligations for the club and events that Keeley asked him to attend, and he needs you by his side so he doesn’t lose his shit, but he always prefers to stay in if he has the chance, and being with someone who’s alright with going out but loves to be a homebody is perfection. He’d love to cuddle with you while it rains, and he’d never admit it but he’s definitely a Swiftie (his favorite album is Speak Now) and he thinks you’re the smartest person ever and always tries to work you into conversations like “my s/o said this about this” or “my s/o was just talking about that” and he just loves to gush about you and all your accomplishments.

“You look pretty hot in plaid" this could go both ways w sterek i think, like derek complimenting stiles on his daily outfits or stiles seeing derek in plaid for the first time
@dylanlovesthemets i almost listened but it kind of got away from me :D
“Move, Scott,” Derek grumbles, irritated and tired and protective.
Stiles is limp in Derek’s armsafter being struck by the monster of the week. Scott had once again failed toaccount for Stiles’ fragility and left him without so much as a bat to defendhimself.
Derek had seen it happen, seenthe big scaly tail knock Stiles off his feet and into a tree. And he’s donewhat he could to hear if Stiles was hurt worse than a concussion and so farhasn’t been able to hear anything out of the ordinary. Heartbeat still in anormal rhythm, no bones creaking or scraping against each other as Derek rolledStiles onto his back to check him over.
He’s got Stiles bridal style inhis arms and is walking back to the cars now that the thing has been taken careof. But Scott is hovering.
“We should take him to seeDeaton, or at least have my mom look at him,” Scott is saying, still trailingbehind Derek, gripping at Derek’s shoulder and Derek bites back a growl ofirritation. He just doesn’t want anyone in his space right now.
“I’m taking him to my apartment. His dad is working tomorrow and through the weekend and Stiles is going to needsomeone to wake him up every couple hours if he does have a concussion. A testwhich I am well equipped to do, Scott, since I am an EMT,” Derek impatientlyexplains as they come up to the cars all parked together in a clearing.
“I know, I know,” Scott is quickto answer but he’s still hesitant. Derek knows they trust each other butapparently that trust doesn’t extend to trusting Derek with Stiles.
Once Stiles is laid comfortably, but still unconscious in the back of Derek’s Toyota he turns to face Scott’sworried face.
“He’s going to be fine and ifhe’s not, you’re the first person I call,” Derek says and it’s true. If Stileswakes up in more pain than a concussion warrants or he stops breathing orsomething, Scott would be the first person Derek would contact…along withMelissa and John in the group text.
But the reassurance is enoughfor Scott who nods and steps away. Derek talks quickly to Isaac, Erica andBoyd, making sure they’re all still in one piece after the small tussle in thewoods. But they’re fine and he gets an eye roll from Erica so they’re really okay if they’re able to sasstheir alpha at 3am.
Now he just has to get Stilesback to his apartment and make sure he wakes up in a reasonable amount of time.
Derek is pacing slowly in theapartment. He’s not overly anxious, Stiles has been awake since they got in andconfirmed only a headache before swallowing some advil and going back to sleep.Derek is still concerned there might be other aches and pains that Stiles iswaving off that should be addressed.
For now, he’s on concussionwatch though so he’s trying to keep himself awake for the next hour until it’stime to wake Stiles again. He’d sleep himself but the couch isn’t appealingtonight and he knows when he falls asleep it’s going to be hellish to draghimself out of it. He’d rather get another check in with Stiles before he losesconsciousness for the next few hours.
The pacing is to keep his mindfocused on something, one foot in front of the other, eight steps, turn, eight again. He can hear Stiles’ steady, shallow, sleeping breathing as he does and hethinks he’s pretty calm despite the circumstances. He’s more surprised thathe’s surprised than actually startled when the door opens and Stiles isstanding there, leaning against the door jam. His eyes are droopy but Derek canstill hear his heart beating exactly how it’s supposed to.
“You look pretty hot in plaid,”Stiles says, his clear voice showing that despite his sleepy expression, he’scompletely alert.
Derek looks down at his pajamapants before looking up at Stiles with a soft smile.
“You’ve said that before,” Derekreplies, tracing his own steps as he walks over towards where Stiles is waveringon his feet now that he’s no longer leaning against the door frame.
He settles his hands on Stiles’warm waist and relishes the small smile he gets at the welcome touch.
“It’s worth repeating,” Stilessays and tilts his head back, Derek is all too happy to oblige and press aquick dry kiss on his lips.
This thing between them is new,not so new that Derek questions the kiss but it is still something they’ve keptjust between them. And it’s something they haven’t taken much further thankissing. Derek had been set and ready to tell Stiles he needed to wait beforethings got physical in their relationship. But Stiles had been the one who putlimits on things.
The pack doesn’t know. And Scottdoesn’t know. But the Sheriff knows and that’s enough for them right now. It’swhy Derek was so determined to get Stiles to his apartment. The sheriff reallywill be at work for the better part of the next few days and they both would wantsomeone with Stiles while he’s concussed. The fact that Derek has his EMT licensenow only furthered the Sheriff’s approval of him dating his son. He’s beendoing more to get his life together, to be a contributing member of society.
“How are you feeling,” Derekasks quietly and pushes Stiles’ hair off his face gently.
“Like I got my head smashed intothe ground,” he murmurs as his eyes close again and he leans into Derek’schest.
“Thanks for bringing me here,” hesays into Derek’s chest and Derek brings his arms up to rub Stiles’ backcomfortingly.
“Of course,” Derek says gentlyand starts to walk them back into the bedroom.
“Don’t know if I’ve said thisbut, I feel safe here. With you. Your space. You make me feel safe, Der,”Stiles says softly and Derek tries to keep from letting the excitement thosewords incited from leaking out.
“I-“ Derek clears the emotionfrom his throat, “I’m really happy to hear that Stiles. How are you doing forpainkillers? Do you need me to get more advil? More pain drain?” Derek offersbut Stiles shakes his head.
“No, just you. Come lay downwith me?” he requests as he crawls into the bed with Derek holding the coversup for him to settle beneath them.
Those sleepy eyes, the softfluffy hair and the circumstances have Derek capitulating without muchresistance.
“Let me just grab you some waterand I’ll be right back,” Derek explains as he tucks the covers around Stiles.
Stiles nods into his pillow andDerek dashes quickly back to the outer rooms. He checks the door again, fillsup a large glass with water and snags the bottle of Advil – just in case. He makesquick work of putting both down on the nightstand next to Stiles. He crosses tothe other side of the queen size bed and gently lifts the covers, stealingbeneath and wrapping Stiles close in his arms.
After a few minutes of slow steadybreathing Stiles snuffles into Derek’s chest.
“Thanks, Der,” he mumbles andDerek’s arms squeeze gently in a closer embrace.
“Anytime,” he says and iscompletely unsurprised that he means it. That he means something more, something they haven’t said to each other yet. But, Derek thinks, maybe theysay it in other ways.

*boop boop boop boop booop* Haunted Fic Watch!
Hello and welcome to a blog within a blog. This is *Haunted Fic Watch* where we take a look inside Chelsea’s Google Drive to find out what *the hell* she’s been working on lately...
900 followers - Bucky Barnes Angst requested by: @mrs-ari-tokoyami
First up is the unfinished Winter Soldier angst requested as part of my 900 Followers Clown Show Extravaganza. It’s causing a lot of strife AND confusion in the news room. Let’s take a peek!
He looks different. He’s wearing civilian clothing for one thing. And his eyes, though just as haunted as ever, are more lucid than you’ve ever seen them. He’s watching you with a doubtful expression, as if he’s not sure you’ll allow him inside. The Winter Soldier must have used your safe house dozens of times through the years and he’s never once seemed uncertain of his welcome. He’s always taken it for granted, in his cold, calculating way, that the house is here for his use and that you, too, will help him as a matter of course.
Today he shuffles his feet and fidgets with the straps of his backpack as you peer at him through the screen door.
“You’re back,” you remark unnecessarily. You’ve never had a name to call him by. And you won’t call him Soldier or the Asset; those are your father’s words for him, but they seem cruel and dehumanizing to you.
“Is this...umm...can I come in?” His voice is always raw from disuse. The Winter Soldier doesn’t have much use for words. In fact, this may be the most he’s ever said in your presence. The diffidence in his tone, in his stature, throws you off. But then again...the whole world’s come crashing down. Your father’s been arrested. This man has clearly been through it all as well.
“Of course, you know you’re always welcome,” you smile warmly, creaking open the screen door and beckoning him inside.
---
He doesn’t remember you, that much is clear. It’s not so unusual, although it hurts every time. Your father told you very little about the man when he first enlisted your help, but you’ve gathered that he’s been programmed somehow. So you try not to take it personally when he arrives on your doorstep seemingly without any memory of you, your name, your touch...your kiss.
He lumbers into your living room. Even without the tactical gear he’s a huge, intimidating figure and he looks so out of place in your tiny house with its kitschy decor. His eyes are huge and scanning the interior of your home non-stop. You notice the muscles in his shoulders standing out against his tight long sleeve t-shirt and, while you’re never above admiring his physique, you crease your brow in worry. He’s obviously tense and terrified.
“Hey, it’s alright. This is a safe place, remember? Do you want me to--I could read your safe words?”
You cross the living room and rummage through the drawer of an end table before returning with the small, black notebook you’d received when you first took on this task. The “safe words” are a series of short commands that soothe the Soldier. They don’t reset his memory or compel him to do anything other than relax...but you still feel strange using them. You’ve only used them a handful of times over the years and only after explicitly asking if he wanted them--but it still feels gross to you. You’d asked him once--on one of his good visits--as he held you in his arms, if it’s possible for him to consent. He had no answer for you on that day and the memory of his silence still haunts you.
You flip through the notebook as you walk back over to him, unaware of the dangerous flash in his eyes or the way his fists clench at his sides. It’s not until your wrist is suddenly caught in the vice-like grip of his metal hand that you realize anything is wrong.
He rips the notebook from your hands and slams you against the wall, switching his grip to your throat and letting his fingers squeeze menacingly.
“You. Can’t. Control. Me. Anymore!” he growls at you through clenched teeth. Stars appear in your vision and you claw uselessly at his hand, kicking your feet out and trying to shake your head. “You’re one of them?! Hydra….SHIELD…”
WOW! Where is this going????!???!??
Mine - sequel to Secret Keeper - Horacio Carrillo x Reader
Next we have a few paragraphs written yesterday for the much anticipated follow up to Secret Keeper. Will these paragraphs make it into the final draft?? Or will they be “erased from the narrative”? What do I look like, a fortune a teller?
“You don’t have to go, you know,” Horacio whispers as your alarm clock blares from the nightstand. “I’ll take care of you…”
You fumble, bleary-eyed, for the snooze button before collapsing back into the covers and nestling into your lover’s chest. You breathe in his warm, masculine scent and sigh with contentment as his strong arms wrap around you making you feel both safe and small at once. He presses kisses to the crown of your head. It’s tempting. It’s so damn tempting to stay here in this nest you’ve created with your reconciliation. Horacio would take care of everything for you. Your rent, your bills… You know the guilt tears at him from the inside. You can see it haunting his features at times when he stares into space or when his hands hesitate to touch you. You know he’d love to keep you safe from the world, himself included. And you want to let him.
“I know you’d take care of me, mi amor,” you sigh, nuzzling your face into his muscular chest. “But I don’t want to hide.”
But that’s exactly what you want to do when you step into the office that day and feel the heaviness of people’s eyes on you. Wondering why you’re still here. Wondering if you can even be trusted.
Fine? I guess?
Wish You Weren’t Here - Diego Jiménez x Reader
And...finally, what everyone has been waiting for: Diego’s first meeting with Piglet.
You’re still breathless and clinging to each other when Piglet finally decides to make her grand entrance. You catch a blur of motion from the corner of your eye and suddenly Diego’s body is rigid above yours.
“What? The fuck? Is that?” he hisses and the wide-eyed panic on his face has you convulsing in giggles. He glares down at you balefully.
“It’s my cat, Pig,” you explain, reaching around his outrageously broad shoulders and trying to shoo the feline away, “Piglet, stop that!”
She hops onto the back of the couch and stares down at the two of you with clear judgment in her eyes. Her tail twitches and you’re not all together certain she’s not about to take a leap at Diego’s head.
Other stuff on my mind
Damn, girl, are you going to update that Mando fic, huh? Also do you remember what the plan was for that orrrrr..............??
Should you rewatch Logan and start writing Donald Pierce fic just so you can thirst after bad, bad boi Boyd Holbrook???
Hey, you know you have a ton of people following you for Dracula content, right? RIGHT????
Sincerely,
Me. Bye.

Congratulations on 900 followers! You are such an amazing writer and I'm so happy you share your works with this fandom. We are truly blessed. If we can request, I'd love to see your hot take on Jinpachi or more Kageie. Headcanon or drabble (heck even a sentence). Thanks for throwing up this bonanza dance party shindig extravaganza!
Thank you for participating in the bonanza dance party shindig extravaganza! Your kind words make me very happy. You can request, and I’m so glad you did! 🙇🏻‍♀️ Some NSFW headcanons of both men for you.
Jinpachi is methodically considerate with you, always. You’ll need to ask for variety if you want it (or perhaps you won’t feel the need to ask... dependability and familiarity are good things, and the man is GOOD at what he does!).
He’s big into putting you to sleep with sex. Not making you pass out or anything, but your dreamy relaxed face as you slip into sleep— heart hngggggg. This means midday sex and quickies are rare, because part of his respect for you and desire to honor you means he wants to allow you time to rest afterwards.
you. are. gonna. need. it.
Can the man fuck you, silently and safely, in all kinds of perfect for quickie places?  Y E S
Really likes you close, in positions that keep long stretches of your bodies connected (spooning, CAT) or wind you together (like lotus). The honor of your closeness is more of a privilege than seeing any of you bouncing.
Though. There was a time in an empty kitchen when you were practically laying on the air, your thighs wrapped around his hips and his hands curved over your sides, precious little of the counter supporting the back of your head until you pushed yourself off with your own hands and he gently, without pulling out, helped you back until your hands found the floor to support you. And that was very nice for both of you.
Might be tricky to get him to have ‘fun’ sex. He’ll do it if you can explain what you are looking for, but generally he’s as serious and tender a guy as he is with all his clothes on.
Kageie will do what you tell him to do, once you find your voice. Until then he’ll call the shots with coolness that might make you think he’s not even into it. Until he’s literally in you.
Very practiced masturbator. Doesn’t need to fantasize when he does it, the exercise—that’s how he thinks of it!— is about feeling and he knows how to touch himself.
Possibly as a result, definitely related: he’ll be tactile with you and want to touch you a lot, everywhere. His fingers will seek out every dip and outward curve on your body to explore (favorites: navel, ass, ankles). At first these touches are more for his own mental catalog of sensations: selfish but not intending to be hurtful. As you are together longer he’ll begin to touch you for you.
When you touch him the first time, he probably glares at you. But you are not the one he’s mad at, so ignore him and keep stroking. Do that zigzag thing he likes right at the middle of his shaft.
Kageie likes positions where he can see your back. No preference between doggy and reverse cowgirl because your neck, shoulders, and the dip of your spine are what he wants to see. And of course, he’ll be touching them as much as he can. Liiiiiiikes it when you sweat, mostly because your skin gets slippery, a little bit because it’s proof you’re working for him.
Chills out (even more) after sex. He’s not going to go get you water or anything, but he’s up for snuggling and pillow talk! It will only be a handful of sessions before he’ll begin to open his arms just for you. Might even lazily stroke your hair if you rest your head on his chest or shoulder.
When you tell him what you want, the less of an option it is, the faster he’ll do it. “Harder” = good reaction, “Harder now, right there” = what you were asking for. “Gentle, be gentle” = he’ll slow to giving you the barest of touches, “Lick with the flat of your tongue right above your fingers, gently” = enjoy seeing those stars! He’s honestly not trying to be difficult. Specificity goes a long, long way because there are so many different ways he can interpret what you’re saying.
He’s got a hefty dose of sub in him, and you calling the shots not only gets you your primary desires but puts him in a relaxed and willing headspace. Let him think less. Let him be teased.

Fallouts 5-75 reviewed | Rock Paper Shotgun
Within the build-up to the discharge of Fallout 76, we felt it was essential to place the sport in its correct context. With that in thoughts, we commissioned video games historian Nate Crowley – aka @FrogCroakley – to write down capsure opinions of Fallouts 5 by means of 75. We’ve been posting these opinions five-a-day on Twitter ever since, till the work was accomplished final night time. You possibly can nonetheless learn all these tweets in the #AllTheFallouts thread, however now you can additionally learn them under.
Annoyed by fan stress to return to the sequence’ retro roots, Bethesda launched Fallout 5 as a kind of handheld LCD video games from the late ‘80s. Play boiled all the way down to transferring the Pip-Boy left or proper to keep away from pixellated radscorpions, however was completely executed. #AllTheFallouts
Taking the “sorry mate, I don’t suppose it goes any louder” method to criticism, Fallout 6 was launched on parchment scrolls, with fight dealt with through handwritten, horse-delivered correspondence with Bethesda. No person has but completed the tutorial. #AllTheFallouts
Eerily, no one’s certain who developed Fallout 7: Rise of the Dogmen, because it merely appeared in thrift shops. Certainly, we could by no means discover out: when the titular antagonists started turning to digicam & reciting gamers’ childhood fears, all copies have been seized and burned. #AllTheFallouts
Fallout eight was the primary within the sequence to happen totally inside a vault, and concerned the participant making an attempt to handle the citizenry’s panic over a bee getting in. Not even a mutant bee, only a common one, making individuals bark in fear because it swerved close to their ears. #AllTheFallouts
Unusually, Fallout 9 was a Japan-only launch referred to as 不死学校生活 (Ghoul Faculty) – on this charming highschool RPG, the participant was tasked with navigating the tutorial and romantic trials of a younger necrotic post-human within the depths of Vault 12. Really fairly good. #AllTheFallouts
Refusing to just accept Fallout eight’s failure, Bethesda doubled down with Fallout 10: The Bee’s Again: basically a clone of Fallout eight with a better polygon depend. Not less than the sport’s tagline (“There’s a black and yellow dot. It makes a irritating noise”) was sincere. #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 11 had a brilliantly easy premise: Fallout four’s Institute discovers the physique of Jason Statham in a lead sarcophagus, and it escapes. The sport famously led to a hellish quicktime occasion by which Statham, managed by the participant, eats an entire nuclear conflict. #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 12 was notably noteworthy, as the one technique to play was to insert the disc in a chimp’s mouth and look into the creature’s eyes, whereas softly holding its palms as controllers. No person will say what they noticed within the eyes of the ape, however it modified individuals. #AllTheFallouts
There was no Fallout 13. From time to time a narrative will floor a few mountain of video games buried manner out in Nevada, or of a ragged-furred, floppy-eared determine loping spherical the sting of a campfire’s mild – however individuals say a number of issues, out within the desert. #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 14 got here with a novelty energy armour helmet peripheral, which launch contextually-generated smells. Sadly, a bug meant it wouldn’t come off, and solely produced the scent of deathclaw butt. Has retained a disturbingly dedicated fan base. #AllTheFallouts
In Fallout 15: Brotherhood of Feels, Bethesda put aside the same old post-apocalyptic landgrab to give attention to the emotional lifetime of tooled-up nuclear battlemonks. Regardless of its lowkey pacing, BoF was lauded by critics for its haunting commentary on poisonous masculinity. #AllTheFallouts
After the crucial success of BoF, Bethesda pissed all of it away with Fallout 16: Masters of Pepsi – a grotesque extravaganza of product placement by which no character might appear to complete a sentence with out staring on the participant & gorging down a tin of brown fizz. #AllTheFallouts
Because the rights dispute between Bethesda & Interaction resurfaced through the run-up to Fallout 17, an exhausted decide ordered the sport’s improvement foisted onto a randomly chosen fan – who panicked, and made a janky reskin of Streets of Rage starring the Pip-Boy. #AllTheFallouts
By some means, Fallout 17 was a smash hit, and dev Jeff Mince took on auteur standing. His subsequent work, Fallout 18, was a ‘minimalist’ open world sport, the place gamers might discover 2 rooms & discuss to an outdated boot. Fearful of wanting thick, reviewers hesitantly gave it 10/10. #AllTheFallouts
After spending a yr locked in his studio, Jeff Mince launched Fallout 19, a rhythm sport about lashing a person to demise with a string of sausages. Transient, ugly, and virtually unplayably brutal, it tore away the emperor’s new garments, and made Mince a pariah in a single day. #AllTheFallouts
Bethesda returned triumphant with Fallout 20: Fawlaaht – a sport set in a vault populated totally by clones of cockney hardmen. Gamers might select whether or not to facet with Vinny Jones’ Guvnors faction, or pledge allegiance to the power-armoured Mitchell Brothers. #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 21 was an oddity: a transport container filled with the costumes, gear and script required to play your entire sport as a LARP. Buried simply outdoors Washington DC, the container is about to unlock provided that radiation on the floor reaches cataclysmic ranges. #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 22 was shipped as a standard installment within the sequence, however when it arrived in shops it was packaged as ‘Return of the Dogmen’, and accompanied by creepy mascots no one had employed. Affected shops have been closed, and the video games have been impounded & destroyed. #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 23 was an avant-garde entry to the canon, the place gamers took on the function of an AI tasked with maintaining a vault door closed. Play concerned merely holding a button down for twenty 5 years in realtime, after which a quick celebratory cutscene would play. #AllTheFallouts
Packaged with a full alto saxophone as a controller, Fallout 24 was neither low cost nor simple to play. Nonetheless, it was all value it for the sheer ecstasy of wailing the solo from ‘Baker Road’ with a view to minigun tremendous mutants throughout an atomic bombardment. #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 25 was an odd one. A administration sim of kinds, it put gamers in command of Vault 420, an experimental shelter which solely grew one extraordinarily potent crop. Sustaining productiveness with survivors who solely needed to have a look at their very own palms was… difficult. #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 26: Enter the Battletoads turned what might have been a light-hearted crossover right into a gruelling survival horror nightmare, as gamers discovered themselves pursued by means of a nuclear hell by a trio of gurning, hench amphibians with no idea of pity or regret. #AllTheFallouts
After Fallout 27’s code was unintentionally wiped on the eve of launch, the discharge comprised solely what the panicking intern accountable might hammer collectively in an evening. Sympathetic reviewers praised the best way the sport’s protagonist, a dot, drifted throughout the display. #AllTheFallouts
Many rumours encompass Fallout 28. Whereas most recall a mediocre turn-based ways sport, a spate of reddit posts on launch day reported the title display bearing the slogan ‘can’t cease the dogmen’, and taking part in unusual whining sounds even with audio system turned off. #AllTheFallouts
Chic celeb tie-in Fallout 29 (launched as Diners, Drive-ins & Deathclaws) noticed hollering TV chef Man Fieri voice a peroxide-maned mutant with BBQ sauce for blood, searching for the best roadkill in America following the detonation of a 900-gigaton Taste Bomb. #AllTheFallouts
Following the tragic vanishing of former dev Jeff Mince, Fallout 30 was retooled as a tribute to the nice man, whose work was by now again in favour. The ultimate sequence – a person being lashed to demise with sausages in sepia slow-mo – was a cello-scored tearjerker. #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 31 was a daring experiment in augmented actuality, superimposing a grim wasteland on high of gamers’ native areas. All of it turned nasty when a person burned down a kebab store, claiming the Pip-Boy had informed him to. Considerably uncomfortably, this turned out to be true. #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 32, launched as Fallout: New Crinkley, was set on the dilapidated set of 1990s British discuss present Noel’s Home Celebration. Edmonds himself was portrayed as a leather-harnessed warlord, who would unleash dreadful thrall Blobby to run gamers down & devour them #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 33 was meant to eschew the franchise’s cartoonish aesthetic for a gritty, extra life like really feel, however it seems that spending 30+ hours of sport time watching a group step by step starve to demise beneath a nuclear winter was a little bit of a downer. #AllTheFallouts
Rushed to market to cheer individuals up after 33, Fallout 34 was a reasonably unremarkable sport – till some genius launched a mod that changed all the sport’s textures with Nicholas Cage’s face, and all dialogue with low high quality WAV clips from Con Air and The Rock. #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 35 was the primary to function the Utah Crab Males, however was extra notable for an easter egg: in an space solely accessible by clipping by means of a hill, gamers discovered a disquieting NPC resembling Jeff Mince sewn right into a canine costume, silently mouthing the phrase ‘assist’. #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 36’s protagonist was a kind of post-apocalyptic Steve Irwin, monitoring down mutant wildlife & wrestling it right into a corrugated metallic & chickenwire zoo. FPS segments have been interspersed with a kind of desperately unethical model of zoo tycoon. #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 37 was well-known for introducing tooth as its major character stat; as you explored additional & defeated extra foes, you’d develop extra & extra gnashers, till your character was staggering alongside, head bowed by the sheer weight of calcium sprouting from its jaws. #AllTheFallouts
The discharge of Fallout 38: Usain Bolt’s Salt Vault (a few plot to steal condiments from a bunker filled with livid clones of the famed sprinter) led followers to accuse Bethesda of ‘working out of concepts’, however they insisted that they had at the very least one other 38 video games in them #AllTheFallouts
Submit-apocalyptic in identify solely, Fallout 39 was a shame of a sport set in a recruitment agency 500 years after society’s rebuilding. Play revolved round barking right into a plastic cellphone, making an attempt to work out which dialogue choices would cajole individuals into accounts roles. #AllTheFallouts
All was forgiven when Fallout 40’s opening cutscene revealed the earlier sport to be a psychological experiment performed by the nefarious Utah Crab Males, a race of pincer-headed, pinstripe-suited bastards obsessive about recreating 21st-century company tradition. #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 41 reprises the unique’s premise with a boozy twist: the Lager Chip within the participant’s vault is on the blink after 200 years of continuous partying, so they need to come out & get a brand new one earlier than everybody sobers up and has to endure a really apocalyptic hangover. #AllTheFallouts
In Fallout 42, you performed as a lone wanderer whose solely possessions have been a can of hairspray and a shoe. They have been no use as weapons, however by huffing one from the opposite, you would step by step, quesaily, flip the sport into the particular stage from Sonic 2. #AllTheFallouts
After an ethical panic sparked by Fallouts 41 & 42, Bethesda have been compelled to show Fallout 43 into an prolonged advert for sobriety. Chems like Jet & Fury have been changed with healthful fruit & veg, whereas the Pip-Boy delivered prolonged sermons on the risks of dependancy. #AllTheFallouts
Following the same old leaving-the-vault intro, Fallout 44 had gamers step out into an peculiar world, pissing itself over having tricked so many individuals into residing in a gap. The remainder of the sport, like life, was largely about holding down a job & making an attempt to not cry. #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 45 was a bizarre, dreamlike remake of Fallout four, the place the sport’s factions had united in terror of a determine referred to as ‘the king beneath the hill’, and would implore you with grimly life like eyes to guard them from his military of canine/human hybrids. Unsettling. #AllTheFallouts
While you first step into Fallout 46’s wasteland, it’s lifelessly serene: simply rocks, ruins & wind. Half an hour in, a twig snaps behind you & you flip, simply in time to glimpse a flash of orange fur you’d recognise wherever. It’s Gritty – and you might be being hunted. #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 47 was a 5-Nights-at-Freddy’s-esque nightmare the place you performed a wasteland radio DJ, desperately making an attempt to queue up the right vinyls, whereas enraged tremendous mutants burst out of air ducts & bullied you into taking part in ‘Cotton Eye Joe’ over & over once more. #AllTheFallouts
In Fallout 48, you’re captured by a ghoul with a style for theatre & given 6 months to placed on the definitive efficiency of Ready for Godot, or see your house vault levelled. After roaming the wilds to discover a solid, the distress of educating them their traces begins #AllTheFallouts
Pulp masterpiece Fallout 49 noticed the participant pitted in opposition to the cyborg hulk Mecha-Oppenheimer, commanding a legion of radioactive undead GIs from a long-buried WW2 analysis bunker. In his personal phrases: are you a foul sufficient dude to defeat Dying, destroyer of worlds? #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 50 is usually notable for a wierd NPC, claiming to be a time traveller, who garbles a warning about “a fantastic, damaged vacancy”, one thing in regards to the quantity 76, and a “legion of bugs”, earlier than being consumed by a swarm of rats. Who knew what he meant? #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 51 was an unintentionally chic remake of Three Males and A Child, that includes three towering mutant bachelors – voiced by Dwayne Johnson, Vin Diesel & Jason Momoa – entering into scrapes & japes as they try to take care of a self-aware nuclear warhead. #AllTheFallouts
One other Japan-only title, Fallout 52 (launched as きれいい けいじ – “fairly apocalypse”) was a kawaii dress-up sport, the place you would outfit your roster of raiders, ghouls and mutants in innovative harajuku fashions, earlier than posing them for baffling pictures. #AllTheFallouts
In an unlikely mix of ‘Fury Street’ & ‘The Guardian Lure’, Fallout 53 challenged the participant to rekindle the romance between two tremendous mutant warlords, by tricking them into chasing one another throughout the wastes in a nihilistic demise race. Surprisingly heartwarming. #AllTheFallouts
In puerile puzzler Fallout 54, you performed the only real plumber in a vault stocked solely with beans & sauerkraut. May you unclog the pipes quick sufficient to cease the vault drowning in its personal effluent, or would you simply put a brick by means of the display in disgust? #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 55 challenged you to flee the lightless depths of the dreaded ‘Vault W’, which Vault-tec had populated totally with bioengineered manifestations of countercultural icon Waluigi. Performed a bit like horror film ‘The Descent’, however with extra ‘wah’. #AllTheFallouts
In a weird throwback to early ‘90s edutainment, Fallout 56 noticed the V.A.T.S system reconfigured to deal harm commensurate with the participant’s means to unravel easy maths & logic issues, with the Pip-boy turning into a patronising, know-it-all bastard. #AllTheFallouts
“You suppose you’re secure” intones a hoarse voice, as you stand over the physique of Fallout 57’s last boss. Behind you, a dog-headed determine stands on a distant peak. It raises a paw, glowing with queasy sigils, & you wake screaming, with no hint of the sport in your PC #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 58: The Courtship of Mugnarr was a courting sim, by which you performed a sweating colossus with a microwave for a head & a coronary heart of gold. Would you select debonair deathclaw Garko, or Bludwig, the paladin with a delicate facet beneath his energy armour? #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 59: The Nuptuals of Mugnarr continued the story of the oven-headed titan, dealing with you with tough narrative selections as you deliberate the massive man’s marriage ceremony. Seat the ghouls too close to the atomic demise cult, or order the unsuitable vol-au-vents, and there’d be hassle #AllTheFallouts
After painstakingly rebuilding followers’ goodwill, Fallout 60: A Residence for Mugnarr squandered all of it – the sport was totally primarily based on Fallout four’s maddening development system, so 90% of play time was spent desperately begging metal plates to stay to the bottom. #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 61, a.okay.a ‘It’s All the time Sunny in Diamond Metropolis’, centered on a gang of utter scumbags working a dive bar within the jewel of the commonwealth. Play revolved round petty acts of spite, heavy consuming, and incoherent, quicktime-driven shouting matches. #AllTheFallouts
Sooner or later in any franchise, a rubbish cellular sport turns into inevitable. Enter Fallout 62, a vaguely Fallout-themed Sweet Crush clone, whose advertisements – that includes a profoundly phoned-in efficiency from Anthony Hopkins – turned inescapable for a six month interval. #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 63 adopted on from Fallout 11, with gamers looking out London’s ashes for the bunker the place Statham had been contained, earlier than pleading him for assist in opposition to a nebulous menace. By some means, it felt uneasily as if extra than simply the sport’s ending was at stake #AllTheFallouts
In a chilling PR stunt, Fallout 64 contained the precise launch codes to the US nuclear arsenal, ostensibly behind an uncrackable cipher. Gamers cracked it in 2 hours, however fortunately, because it was a Bethesda launch, the function was bugged & armageddon was averted #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 65 was a uncommon treasure. Styled ‘Fallout: Skegness’, it was a harrowing commentary on the English household vacation, the place you needed to endure being trapped in a caravan for 200 years, repeating the identical pointless arguments as nuclear winter raged outdoors. #AllTheFallouts
After an exhausting board assembly, the perfect anybody might provide you with as a theme for Fallout 66 was “two thirds of the satan”, and in order that was that: the sport was a half-hearted wrestle in opposition to an incarnation of devil that disappeared from the hips down. Garbage. #AllTheFallouts
By the point Fallout 67 rolled round, the builders have been too desperate to work on Fallout 69 to essentially care about it, in order that they rushed it out in a few weeks. It was one thing a few pig and an deserted paint manufacturing unit, perhaps? No person actually remembers. #AllTheFallouts
Let’s be sincere: who cares about Fallout 68? It might’ve been the head of human artwork, and also you’d nonetheless simply need to learn about Fallout 69. Fortunately it wasn’t: it was a busted mess that bluescreened repeatedly as you battered a scorpion to stick with an outdated rope. #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 69 was exquisitely sexual. Too erotic be mentioned, actually; the phrases would sear away your eyes just like the blast-flash of a particularly sexy nuclear explosion. These few who performed earlier than it was banned have been hospitalised with snapped wrists & borked pelvises #AllTheFallouts
In a wasteland shattered anew by the sexual armageddon of Fallout 69, sport 70 within the sequence, “Fallout: the Banquet of Regrets”, put you within the sneakers of a furtive wanderer, scouring the land for no matter riches remained beneath the drifts of used prophylactics. #AllTheFallouts
By the point Fallout 71 rolled round, Bethesda devs have been starting to really feel the pressure of getting launched greater than sixty video games in lower than three years. Exhausted by all of it, they figured no one would thoughts if they simply plopped out a fast atompunk reskin of Tetris. #AllTheFallouts
Ultimately, in Fallout 72, the dogmen made their play. Moments after the sport went on sale, the file MINCE.EXE started propagating itself on customers’ PCs, and panting, shuffling creatures started to appear on darkish streets. All of a sudden, implausibly, the world was at conflict. #AllTheFallouts
Fallout 73 was not a lot a sport as a patch, and never a lot a patch as a weapon: a last-ditch piece of digital sorcery, aimed toward closing a door to a actuality past our personal. Even so, reviewers praised its crisp textures and sensible stock administration system. #AllTheFallouts
Humanity didn’t play Fallout 74; it performed us. Some say the dogmen itself have been its architects; some say it by no means existed in any respect past the minds of survivors. Regardless, it was a better cataclysm than had ever been rendered within the sequence’ early, cheery tales. #AllTheFallouts
Fortunately, the pact brokered in Fallout 63 got here good finally: in “Fallout 75”, as historians now name the final battle of the dogman conflict, Jason Statham himself consumed each server bearing a duplicate of any sport from Fallout 5 onwards, ending the horror finally. #AllTheFallouts
With the world saved finally, and Statham buried in a hero’s mausoleum, Bethesda’s board sat again & took a deep, collective breath of reduction. “Proper then lads,” stated Todd Howard, rubbing his palms with glee, “who desires to make an underwhelming MMO?” #AllTheFallouts

“If I die, I’m going to haunt your ass.” this is 3000000% something danny says to steve
@dylanlovesthemets this was so McDanno omg it was perfect :D Hope you like it!
Steve blinks himself awake, alittle fuzzy, but after a quick shake of his head it all comes rushing back tohim. He and the team had been out for drinks, which is typical after theysuccessfully close a case. Chin had begged off first, going home to Maliabefore it got too late. Kono had left second after making eyes at the waitressfor most of the evening. Which had left Danny and Steve to their conversation. They were more than a few beers in and Steve had said something that made Dannylaugh.
Steve had been more than alittle distracted by the twinkle in Danny’s eyes, the way he looked with hishead thrown back laughing.  He shouldhave noticed they were being watched. When they’d gotten up to leave it wasraining, and they’d argued. Steve didn’t care about running to the car becausethey could change when they got home. Danny didn’t want to get the seats wet.
The men had come out of nowhere. One moment he was getting Danny all riled up and the next he’d been hit upsidethe head and everything went black.
So he’s not completely surprisedthat he’s waking up on a cold floor. He’s not even alarmed by the fact that hiseyelashes on his right eye are sticky with blood.
What is concerning is theunmoving body of his partner across the room. Steve takes stock of himselfquickly. No shoes, pockets emptied, aching head and a sore neck. He can feel noother injuries but that hardly matters right now.
Because he’s in a barredcell, with nothing to pick the lock and his partner is unconscious and bleeding10 feet away from him.
Steve can see a red stain onDanny’s side, and it’s slowly growing the longer Steve watches. Ignoring hisheadache, he yells towards the open door, where he can see their captorssitting and watching TV.
“Danny! Danny!” he tries, hopingto rouse his partner but when it doesn’t work the panic starts to overtake him.“Hey! Hey! Someone needs to check on my partner. None of you want to be a copkiller! Get in here and make sure he’s still breathing!”
He shouts and shouts hoping toannoy one of them to come into the room and at least roll Danny over so Stevecan see that he’s breathing. But instead the guy just slams the door shutbetween them. And Steve is pretty close to losing it. He’s never truly beenconfronted with his partner dying. Not since the sarin poisoning last year. Buthe’s pretty sure Danny is dead on the floor over there and there’s nothing hecan do about.
Danny is not dead.
Steve might kill him once hefinds out that Danny waited so long to let him in on that knowledge but Dannyhas a plan. He needed Steve to yell enough that the door between them and thecaptors has been closed.
Danny’s pretty sure his lifeflashed before his eyes when he saw Steve crumple to the ground outside thebar. And Danny has been in fights, both on the job and off, but he’s neverfought like he did against the men that had watched them in the bar andambushed them as they waited to leave. But three against one, when the one isunder 6 foot, didn’t go too well. He’s a little bruised, a little perforated buthe doesn’t think he’s in any danger of dying today. He is a little tiredthough, he just needs another minute.
“Danny,” Steve is still saying, but his voice is broken, Danny has never heard him like this before, ever. Shithe’s really scaring Steve he needs to move at least a little. Give a groan.Come on Daniel. Do. Something.
He’s not sure how long he laysthere gathering the strength to move but Steve has sniffed twice and is stillcalling out Danny’s name, croaky and cracked.
But Danny knows he’s going tohave to make his move all at once. Which means he has to get up, get his walletout of his front pocket, get the lock pick set out, get it to Steve and thenfind Steve’s boots.
What is Superman without hiscape and stocking foot?
Steve has sniffled twice morewhile Danny solidified his plan and Danny is in for a world of teasing whenthey get out of this. Because there is no maybe, after Danny played dead, theircaptors didn’t even empty his pockets which means that, oh yes, he still has aworking cell phone and the aforementioned lock pick set.
He counts down in his head from10 and on 1 he rolls over with a groan and slowly staggers to his feet, keepingmost of his weight on his good knee as much as possible. Danny is ignoringSteve’s face and relieved voice because it makes him weak in the knees andagain, they don’t have time for Danny to fall.
“Danny, Danny,” Steve keepssaying, “You’re alive, you asshole I thought you were dead!”
“Not dead,” Danny says quietly, handing the whole wallet to Steve knowing with the way his own hands areshaking that he’s not going to be much use in getting Steve out of the cell. “Lockpicks are in there,” he says and turns away. He ignores the tear tracks onSteve’s face, ignores the way his heart constricts in his chest because they’regoing to have their moment when this is done. They’ve been pushed too far; theuniverse has won the battle in getting them together. Danny doesn’t think hecould keep it all to himself anymore and Steve looking as wrecked as he doesright now is only going to lead to one outcome.
Danny is already tired ofemotions.
He walks away from Steve, focusing on the next step of his plan. He fishes his phone out of his pocketand dials Chin Ho. He’s groaning into the phone when Chin picks up because he’sfound Steve’s boots on the floor and bending over to retrieve them was a poordecision. The muscles in his back are screaming at him and his knee did notappreciate the movement at all.
“Daniel you have three secondsto say something before I hang up on you for butt dialing me while having sexwith someone,” Chin is saying into the phone and Danny is breathing heavily ashe stands having retrieved Superman’s boots.
“Not- having sex,” he huffsbetween breaths. “Steve and I were taken. GPS my phone. Send EMS.”
It’s quick and short and notvery descriptive but then Steve is there taking the phone and the boots andDanny is going to return to the floor again because he’s used up all of hisenergy. He manages to go gently down instead of collapsing but it’s stillunpleasant. God, his fingers hurt.  He wants a nap and a shower and medicalattention in some order. He’s not sure that he even cares which comes first.
Danny is easing himself to thefloor after Steve takes the phone from him. He clears his throat, trying to ridhis voice of the emotion that’s been pouring out of him for the last 20 minuteswatching Danny lie motionless on the floor.
“Chin,” he says, voice stillrough but since Chin can’t see his face he should be able to pass it off for areason other than he’s been crying.
“Boss, what’s happening?” heasks and Steve can hear him typing on a laptop in the background.
“Danny and I were ambushedoutside the bar,” he explains quietly, tucking the phone between his ear andhis shoulder as he looks down and sees Danny fighting to keep his eyes open.“Unknown number of people guarding us and no idea who is involved.”
“Alright I have your locationfrom the GPS in Danny’s phone,” Chin says quickly. “You’re in an old bunker inPearl City, first responders can be there in 10 minutes, SWAT will be 15.”
“10-4. We’re in a,” Steve looksup and sees a tiny window at the top of the wall, “room on the north end of thebuilding. I’m going to lock us back into the cell instead of trying to make ourway out. Danny’s hurt and I don’t want to move him more than necessary.”
“Okay, I’ll let SWAT know you’llboth still be in the building when they breach.”
“Thanks, Chin,” Steve says andthen hangs up. He and Danny haven’t exactly been quiet throughout the last 10minutes. He doesn’t want to risk anymore talking in case their captors decideto come check on them.
Another quick look around andSteve spots a roll of duct tape on a shelf. Perfect. He grabs the roll, tossesit towards the cell door and then returns to Danny’s side. His hands findDanny’s face, and he has some relief when Danny’s eyes flutter open again.
“Don’t you die, Daniel,” Stevesays harshly and Danny’s lips quirk up at the edges.
“If I die, I’m going to hauntyour ass,” Danny croaks out and then raises his hand to clumsily pat at Steve’sface. “Don’t worry. Not dying today. I am gonna pass out though,” he slurs andthen does indeed fall unconscious.
Steve huffs and shifts around tolift Danny, getting his arms under Danny’s armpits and dragging Danny back intothe cell. It’s the best defensible position in the room. And with the duct tapehe can keep the door from locking which would be an advantage if their captorsdecide to come check on them, Steve could easily get out to defend himself andDanny. He settles in to wait, staying near enough to Danny to monitor hisbreathing and near enough to the door to hear if someone is coming in.
Even though Steve spends thetake-down crouching protectively over Danny in their cell instead of running ithe still thinks it goes rather smoothly. SWAT does what they’re best at andtheir captors don’t have an opportunity to bust into the room to do more damageto either Steve or Danny. When the door to the room they’ve been stashed inopens, Steve relaxes a fraction at the SWAT member’s appearance.
“All good, Commander?” afamiliar voice asks and Steve stands out of his crouch and relaxes a fraction.
“That you Bryan?” Steve asks tomake sure he’s talking to who he thinks he is. With only a few exceptions, whenthe SWAT guys are all geared up, it’s hard to tell them all apart.
“I you should have a punch card,’10 SWAT rescues and you owe me steak dinner,” is the response and Steve rollshis eyes. It’s Bryan. It’s also the same thing he says every time Steveacquiesces to Danny’s wishes and calls for backup support.
“Yeah, yeah,” Steve says andwaves a hand at the smug officer as he turns back to Danny. His breathing issteady but shallow and Steve needs to reassure himself once again that Danny’spulse is a strong beat. “Are we clear for the EMT’s to come in here or yougonna help me carry Detective Williams out to the bus?” Steve asks and Bryan’seyes have laughter in them.
“We’ll get the EMT’s in hereSTAT, brah,” he responds and Steve nods. If Bryan is relaxed enough to laugh atSteve’s suggestion, then all is taken care of and he is going to focus hisenergy on his partner and not further freaking out.
He’d wiped his face on his shirtafter getting Danny’s unconscious form into the cell with him but he feels likehe needs to scrub away the traces of tears left on his skin. He doesn’t wantanyone but Danny to know he’d lost control at the knowledge of his partner beingdead. His team would maybe understand the emotional upheaval but Steve doesn’twant to share that. He doesn’t want to share anything about him and Danny untilthey’ve had a chance to talk this out.
Steve used to wonder when they’dreach their breaking point before they confronted what’s between them. He knewit would be something intense; it’s just not in the cards for him to have asoft and sweet declaration from someone. It’s fine, he’s resigned himself tothe rough and fiery type of emotional outpouring. And he’d expected nothingless from the man who has ranted angrily about wheatgrass smoothies.
Now that he’s reached his limitof leaving what’s between him and Danny unnamed, he feels relief and panickedall at once. How is he supposed to bring it up?
He’s not leaving Danny’s side,he thinks as the EMT’s rush in with a gurney, not until he knows a doctor isattending to him and knows right where to wait while Danny gets assigned aroom. Steve’s not even sure he’s up for leaving the hospital until Danny is readyto, he thinks as he climbs in the back of the ambulance with Danny and the EMT.Those are decisions for later though, right now all that matters is the limphand in his and the breath fogging the oxygen mask every three seconds thatmeans Danny is still with him.
The look on Steve’s face whenDanny wakes up confuses him for a moment. Steve is relaxed in his chair, stillwearing the same rumpled clothes as the last time Danny saw him but the small smileon Steve’s face tells Danny something. It takes him a minute to parse out whatthat something is but when he shifts on the bed and feels no pain he figures itout.
“This isn’t the first time I’vewoken up, is it?” he asks and Steve’s smile quirks up at the edges.
“Nope,” he confirms and Dannypushes away the cobwebs at the edges of his mind that are making it hard tothink.
“What kind of pain meds am I on?”Danny asks when he catches sight of his bad knee propped up on pillows andsecure in a brace.
“Really good ones,” Steveanswers and Danny nods.
He’s not bothered so much aboutwaking up in a hospital this time. He’s actually relieved he wasn’t consciousany longer than necessary to get himself and Steve rescued. Everything hurt thelast time he was awake. Not in the near death kind of way but in the “I got theshit beat out of me” kind of way that requires a stiff drink and 12 hours ofsleep. When Danny yawns it sparks another question.
“How long have I been asleep?”he asks, wondering how long Steve has been obviously sitting at his bedsideattentively.
“Not that long,” Steve answers, leaning forward and putting his hand around Danny’s, “Four hours?” he guessesand Danny nods again.
“So what’s the damage?” Dannyinquires and Steve’s smile fades.
“Your knee is torn again, you’vegot a bruised kidney and bruised ribs. There’s a hairline fracture in your handand you likely have a concussion.”
Yikes.
“Please tell me my recovery willbe spent resting on your lanai,” Danny says, eyes closing and head falling backonto the pillow.
There’s a sparkle in Steve’seyes when that wide goofy grin spreads across his face.
“Think you’re someone special toget that kind of treatment?”
“Babe, I am the special-ist,wait,” Danny stops before he further embarrasses himself because Steve islaughing and damn these pain meds are affecting his ability to banter.
“I don’t plan on letting you outof my sight, Danno, so yes, your R&R is going to happen at my house,” Steveexplains, squeezing Danny’s hand as he does which only serves to remind Dannythat they’re holding hands.
And Steve is awful close. Thatmakes him think.
“Did we have our moment while I washigh on pain killers?” he asks, panic starting to creep in. If he and Steve hadThe Talk he damn sure wants to remember it.
“Our moment? Is this a chickflick?” Steve asks, that twinkle still present in his eyes as he leans closer. “No,Danno we haven’t talked about us at all. Mostly we talked about Grace and howyou secretly think Harrison Ford is dreamy.”
“Well, that I’ll stand by,”Danny says, panic fading knowing that he didn’t blather on about Steve at leastand can’t remember it.
“We could have our moment now,”Steve offers after his laughter has faded into a soft smile.
He looks so earnest and excitedthat Danny can’t possibly think to say no.
“What needs to be said that wehaven’t said before,” Danny says slowly, “You know I love you, you’re my bestfriend. I just think I’m starting to love you even more than that.”
Steve’s free hand comes up torest on Danny’s thigh as his other squeezes Danny’s hand again.
“I feel the same,” he sayssoftly and Danny smiles brightly.
“Those are the best four words Ithink you’ve ever said to me.”
Steve only smiles again andstands up to lean over Danny and get real close. Danny holds his breath and waits;Steve obviously has a plan.
Steve looks his fill, searchingDanny’s face for something before he leans in closer, their lips almosttouching, brushing when he speaks again.
“I love you too.”

Looking for creative things to do instead of sitting in front of the TV or staring at screens consuming mindless content all the time? Pick up one of these exciting origami kits and books and encourage your children to be creative and learn problem solving along the way.
As a little boy, I remember sitting beside my grandma, watching patiently as she folds beautiful cranes from flat sheets of paper. Those days, there we no Internet or tutorial videos to follow. She did it all by memory. To transform something as basic as a sheet of paper into a lovely three-dimensional model was mind-boggling for my little brain to say the least.
Origami vs Screens
These days, with modern communication technologies and screens all around us, we are constantly bombarded with images and noises. When is the last time you actually sit down and create something? Here is an idea, the next time you are stuck at home and are struggling to find creative things to do with the little ones, try paper crafting. Use one of these origami kits and books and turn your kids into paper crafting warriors.
Origami is the art of paper folding. While it may originate from Japan, it is easy to see how it can catch on quickly especially among children. The act of creating something out of paper can be so inspiring and satisfying. With each step they are building something exciting, participating in a process that will allow them to ultimately reap the sweet rewards of their labour. A finished model that they can touch, hold, see and even play with. You might even save some money and help the environment, from not buying tacky plastic toys. Let them make their own.

World Series of Poker tournaments kick off in Las Vegas
Credit: The Associated Press
LAS VEGAS — The 2018 edition of the World Series of Poker opened Tuesday in Las Vegas with 78 high-stakes card tournaments expected to again draw tens of thousands of players and break an attendance record thanks in part to regulatory changes.
New to this series will be the use of a big blind ante format for some events and the participation of New Jersey poker players from the comfort of their homes in online tournaments. Buy-ins for the 50-day tournament with millions of dollars in prize money and gold championship bracelets range from $365 to $1 million.
Tournament spokesman Seth Palansky said the poker extravaganza anticipates it will surpass last year’s record 120,995 entrants partially because players in New Jersey will be able to participate in four online-only events after gambling regulators earlier this month approved the pooling of players in that state and Nevada to compete with each other.
In addition, the series this year will not have to compete with another event that attracts thousands of people to Las Vegas, the Electric Daisy Carnival music festival, whose typical June schedule was moved to May.
"It is certainly possible. We are set up to do so," Palansky said of the anticipated attendance record. "We have a lot of big events on the calendar, a lot of juicy prize pools."
The series will run through July 17 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. Its first event is a $565 casino employees’ game, a sort of warm-up for organizers. ESPN and PokerGO will again provide live coverage of the tournament’s famed no-limit Texas Hold’em main event
Some events this year will feature a big blind ante format designed to help speed up the game. During these games, instead of each player anteing before the hand, only the player in the big blind position will ante.
"In regular poker, to force betting, each person puts in an ante," Palansky said. "We’ve changed some tournaments where one person essentially pays everyone’s ante at once. So, when you are in a particular spot at the table, you pay everyone’s ante and the rest of the time you don’t pay any ante at all. If the ante is a chip value of 100, that person may put in 900 for all nine players. "
The main event will kick off July 2. Unlike last year, the final nine players will not get a two-day break between when the table is set and when play begins.
Last year, Scott Blumstein of New Jersey took home the $8.1 million event prize after he bested more than 7,200 competitors at the main event. Blumstein also received a gold bracelet with diamonds and other gemstones.

New Post has been published on https://www.stl.news/comcast-hopes-for-a-tv-windfall-from-super-bowl-olympics/73585/
Comcast hopes for a TV windfall from Super Bowl, Olympics
NEW YORK/January 24, 2018(AP)(STL.News)— Comcast’s NBC is airing both the Super Bowl and the Olympics in February, a double-whammy sports extravaganza that the company expects to yield $1.4 billion in ad sales, helping it justify the hefty price it’s paying for both events.
NBC is banking heavily on these sports events since traditional TV ratings have slumped in recent years. Live sports are marquee TV events that draw most of the largest TV audiences, but even those ratings have declined. More Americans are dumping their cable packages — Comcast lost 33,000 video customers in the fourth quarter and 151,000 for all of 2017 — and advertisers are following consumers to their phones.
Spending on U.S. TV ads is expected to grow an anemic 0.4 percent this year, according to eMarketer.
In the October-December quarter, NBCUniversal’s broadcast TV ad revenue fell 6.5 percent, after a boost in 2016 from election ads. As it adapts to a slowing TV market, NBC is continuing some digital efforts from Rio and expanding others to meet viewers wherever they are — whether in front of a TV or not.
THE SUPER BOWL
The Super Bowl reaches more than 100 million people in the U.S., outstripping every other TV event. It’s the most expensive ad time on TV.
This year’s Super Bowl is Feb. 4 and follows a two-year slump in regular-season NFL ratings, according to ESPN . But NBC has said it is not worried about a lack of interest. The game is an event that “transcends sport and even the game itself,” Dan Lovinger, an NBC Sports ad-sales executive, said in January, about three weeks before the game.
NBC said then that it had nearly sold out Super Bowl ad spots and that on average, companies are paying more than $5 million for 30-second ads during the game. Kantar Media expects rates slightly higher than last year’s $5.05 million.
Fox aired the Super Bowl in 2017, and said it had $500 million in ad revenues for the day. NBC has predicted about $500 million for the game and associated events this year.
NBC also makes money from ads during events before and after the game and a special episode that day of its hit drama, “This is Us.”
For the first time, it’s selling ads for the game that will only appear on its app or website.
ADS FROM PYEONGCHANG
NBC is paying $963 million for the broadcast rights to the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, which follow a Summer Olympics in Rio two years ago that disappointed in some ways.
NBC ruled the airwaves during the Rio Games, besting other networks, and raked in $250 million in profit. But ratings for the prime-time broadcast declined compared to the London Olympics in 2012, so NBC had to give advertisers some extra ad slots to make up for it.
This time around, NBC will sell ads for this Olympics based on total viewership, counting cable and digital viewers as well as those who tune into NBC proper. That gives them more leverage with advertisers, said Brian Wieser, an ad analyst for Pivotal Research Group.
NBC expects to sell more than $900 million worth of ads for the Olympics, which it says would be the highest ever for a Winter Games. (Summer Games are more popular.) The company is offering more hours of programming this year, both on TV and online, than it did for the Sochi Games in 2014.
KEEPING FANS HAPPY
Past Olympics have been criticized by fans for tape-delayed events. This year, NBC will air its nightly prime-time broadcast simultaneously across the country. That means the West Coast evening broadcast will start early, at 5 p.m.
The company says it will be able to show many Olympics events live for the U.S. audience, including skiing, snowboarding and figure skating. (U.S. prime time starts at 10 a.m. Korean time.) But some popular events will be live at odd hours in the U.S. Speed skating will take place in the evening in Korea, for example — but morning in the U.S.
NBC will stream the opening ceremony at 6 a.m. Eastern on Feb. 9, but only for cable customers. A delayed version will air on prime time. And it’s not yet clear whether exciting medal-round events will be shown at the best time for NBC’s ratings, said Kantar Media chief research officer Jon Swallen. NBC just says that all figure skating, alpine skiing and freestyle snowboard finals will be aired live in either prime time or what it calls “prime-time plus,” which stretches from 11:30 p.m. until 2 a.m. Eastern.
GOING DIGITAL
As it did during the Rio Olympics, NBC has again partnered with BuzzFeed to make videos on Snapchat, a messaging app popular with millennials. These will include behind-the-scenes videos posted by Snapchat users, clips of athletes and Olympics venues shot by BuzzFeed, and snippets of NBC’s own Olympics coverage. NBC’s revenue from its Snapchat deal is in the tens of millions, said an NBC Sports spokesman.
The broadcaster is also teaming up with the online news site Vox to make a daily Olympics podcast for the 18 days of competition. NBC parent Comcast is showcasing both NBC’s Olympics broadcasts and streaming video for its home cable customers in a way that will be easily searchable on TV sets.
In its fourth-quarter earnings report on Wednesday, Comcast said its net income soared to $15 billion, or $3.17 per share, from $2.3 billion, or 48 cents per share, because of a one-time impact from tax changes recently signed into law. Revenue climbed 4 percent to $21.92 billion.

Smith Lights Up Space City Open VI
Danny “The Shredder” Smith captured his first-ever Space City Open 9-Ball title, plowing through an 83-player field, undefeated, besting Roberto “Superman” Gomez in the first set of the true double elimination final, 9-3. Josh Roberts went undefeated in the 40-player, one pocket division, ousting John Morra in the first set, 3-2, taking home his first Space City Open One Pocket title. Jeremy “Double J” Jones went undefeated in the 9-ball banks division, taking down Tommy Tokoph in the first set, 3-2, earning himself a whopping fourth, banks division title. Wrapping up four long days of match play, the ladies 9-ball concluded on Sunday, with Gail “Virginia Slim” Eaton defeating Ming “The Empress” Ng, to capture her second, Space City Open title.
In its sixth year, the four-day, four-division, $6,000 added Space City Open VI (SCO) was held at Bogies Billiards and Sports Bar in Houston, Texas, November 30th – December 3rd, 2017, featuring top players from across America. This year’s line-up featured a cast of new talent, including Danny Smith, Roberto Gomez, John Morra, Jason Brown, and Kelly Isaac, along with numerous others. Admission was free, and fans enjoyed four days of top-notch pool, provided by world-class players.

In the 9-ball division, Danny Smith obliterated the field with wins over Marlin Griffith, 9-4, J.C. Torres, 9-3, Jeremy Jones, 9-7, and Alex Calderone, 9-4, while Jason “Jaybird” Brown took down Taylor Hobbs, 9-8, Curt Sheldon, Josh Roberts, 9-8, and James Davis, Jr., 9-2. Two-time Space City Open 9-Ball Champion, Charlie “Hillbilly” Bryant, made his way to the final four with victories over Mike Wilson, 9-2, David Twitty, 9-6, Kevin Guimond, 9-0, and Cesar Arechiga, 9-2, while Roberto “Superman” Gomez overcame Kenneth Price, 9-6, Randy Nickerson, 9-3, Chase Rudder, 9-5, and John Morra, 9-2. On the one loss side, Tommy Tokoph took out Roberts, 7-3, and Jones eliminated former pro C.J. Wiley, 7-1, while Yovani Salvia ousted Rudder, 7-4, and Jeff Chauncey destroyed Guimond, 7-1. Back on the east side, Gomez bested Bryant, 9-6, while Smith overwhelmed Brown, 9-4. Smith ran away with the hot seat match, defeating Gomez, 9-2. The one loss side witnessed Morra overpower Tokoph, 7-1, and Jones handily defeat Arechiga, 7-0. Davis, Jr. ended Rudder, 7-6, while Guimond dusted off Calderone, 7-4. Morra went on to eliminate Jones, 7-4, and Brown, 7-1, while Guimond overcame Davis, Jr., 7-3. Bryant squeezed by Guimond, 7-6, rounding out the final four players in the division. Morra was on a role, taking out Bryant, 7-2, to win his fourth match on the one loss side. He was stopped short by Gomez, 7-1, finishing in a respectable, third place. Gomez earned himself a rematch with Smith, and “The Shredder” was ready. With his spot-on break, it was a short-lived set for Gomez, much like the first. Smith shot out of the gate and never looked back, capturing the first set, 9-3, and his first, Space City Open 9-Ball title.
Last year, Josh Roberts finished runner-up in the one pocket division, but this year he came out on top.  Roberts ran through a 40-player field, undefeated, booking wins over Jim McCary, Adam Cooper, and Ted Reeves, 3-1, while John Morra overcame Gabe Owen, Marvin Diaz, 3-0, and Sylver Ochoa, 3-1. Houston’s Ernesto Bayaua made his way to the final four with wins over Cliff Joyner, Dallas’ Gerardo Perez, 3-0, and Roberto Gomez, 3-1, while Justin Whitehead overwhelmed Curt Sheldon, 3-0, Corey Flud, 3-0, and Kent Berthelot, 3-1. On the one loss side, Davis, Jr. eliminated Ochoa, 3-1, Brown defeated Reeves, 3-0, and Diaz ended Berthelot, 3-1. Following an early hit at the hands of Roberts, Jeremy Jones won four matches, including victories over Jeff Bramblet, 3-0, Jeff Chauncey, 3-1, and Gomez, 3-1. As the final eight took shape, winners’ side matches witnessed Roberts edge out Morra, 3-2, and Whitehead dust off Bayaua, 3-1. Roberts wasted little time with Whitehead, capturing the hot seat, 3-0. Back on the west side, Brown denied Ochoa, 3-0, and Bayaua, 3-2, while Jones squeezed by Diaz, 3-2, falling in turn to Morra, by the same score.  Morra made quick work of Whitehead, 3-0, moving on to Roberts, and the finals. In the first set, players were neck and neck. Tied at two a piece, an unforced error by Morra sealed his fate, and Roberts ended the set to secure his first, Space City Open One Pocket title.
Kicking off the four-day, billiard extravaganza, was the 26-player, 9-ball banks division, witnessing former Mosconi Cup MVP and former U.S. Open Champion, Jeremy Jones, capture his fourth Space City Open Banks title. Jones blazed a path through Kent Berthelot, 3-0, Gail Eaton, 3-0, and Roberto Gomez, 3-1, while Tommy Tokoph handled Ricki Casper, 3-0, former U.S. Open runner-up, Tan Hoa, 3-2,  and Scotty Evans, 3-1. Former U.S. Open Champion, Gabe Owen, checked off Alfred Flores, 3-0, Richie Richeson, 3-0, and Jason “Jaybird” Brown, 3-1, while Cliff Joyner overwhelmed Beaumont’s Carl Honey, 3-0, Will Felder, 3-1, and Alan Myers, 3-1. On the one loss side, John Morra took out Berthelot, while Roberto Gomez ousted James Davis, Jr., 3-1. Canadian Alex Olinger ended Alan Myers, 3-2, while Josh Roberts handled Jason Brown, 3-1. Down to the final eight, on the east side, Jones defeated Tokoph, 3-1, and Owen slid by Joyner, 3-1. In a speedy, hot seat match, Jones crushed Owen, 3-0. Back on the west side, Gomez eliminated Morra, but fell to Joyner, 3-1, while Roberts took out Myers, 3-0, falling to Tokoph in the next round, 3-0. Tokoph was on the war path, sending home Joyner, 3-2, and Owen, 3-2, reaching Jones, and the finals. Players teed off, both keeping pace as the set progressed. Tied at two a piece, Jones inched ahead in the final game, closing out the set to defend his 2016 title and secure his fourth banks title.
Wrapping up Space City, 24 women battled it out on Sunday for over $2,400 in cash in the ladies 9-ball division. Gail “Virginia Slim” Eaton came out firing, ousting Terry “The Terrorizer” Petrosino, Calaia Jackson, 7-1, and Toledo’s Kelly Isaac, 7-6, while Ming “The Empress” Ng made her way to the final four with wins over Cindy Ferry, Nayla Hoak, and Joyce Davis. Angleton’s Brandi Booth came out firing, securing victories over Ricki Casper, 7-3, and Robyn Petrosino, 7-6, while Teresa “The Princess of Pool” Garland took down Alicia Huff, 7-5, and Yvonne Asher, 7-1. On the west side, Isaac eliminated Denton’s Amy Jones, 5-2, and T. Petrosino reined in Davis, 5-3.  Natalie Mans squeezed by Asher, 5-4, and R. Petrosino extinguished Yvonne Ramirez, 5-2. Down to the final eight, east side action saw Isaac eliminate T. Petrosino, 5-3, and Garland, 5-4, while Mans dusted off R. Petrosino, 5-1, in turn, falling  to Ng, by the same score. Ng went on to eliminate Isaac, 5-4, and Booth, 5-1, earning herself a rematch with Eaton. In the first set of the true, double elimination final, Ng served Eaton her first loss, 7-6, and the finals ventured into overtime. Players displayed poise and composure in the late hour, but only one player could wear the crown. Players fought for every game, but it was Eaton who pulled ahead to end the second set, 5-3, capturing her second, Space City Open 9-ball title.

I went to post anime recs on the waypoint forum and accidentally wrote ~900 words so instead of posting that on the forums I’m posting it here:
Kids on the Slope: It's real good. Also deals with some Real Serious stuff including a car accident. It is in fact set in the 60's (?) which I didn't realize at first for some reason. It has some undertones which are absolutely never expanded upon, and has some really good female characters.
Tsuritama: Colorful and quirky, cute and Anime but also not, has some really honest and touching characters and relationships that I really loved. It definitely went into some emotions I didn't expect from what seemed like a simple fantastical seaside... slice of life.... thing. There's a duck. Deals with anxiety in way that I found very striking. Deals with illness at one point as well, though I can't remember if a hospital is involved but just, fair warning.
Last Exile: I haven't watched this since uh.... high school or earlier, maybe, so I don't know how it holds up but I remember being really into the beautiful steampunk aesthetics and ships, and really invested in the characters, and also that it was Sad. Oh boy did it make me sad. Really good costume design. People die. People also race in steampunk skyships. I can't remember much else from it, unfortunately.
Tiger & Bunny: Taibani is Extremely Anime mixed with an interesting combo of what I guess we'd consider Western aesthetics in some ways. It's campy, it's about superheroes, it reminds me a little of 80's/90's Batman. It's low budget, to some extent, especially the tv show, and it has some problems for sure, esp related to a few specific characters, but overall it was one of my favorite shows and really dragged me in when it was airing back in like, 2012. Don't start with the serialized manga, which came after the show--the art is lovely but the comic itself is paced in a way that, imo, is hard to follow if you don't already know what happens. Unexpectedly at the time, it hit me real hard in the feels. Don't skip the final episode. There are two anime movies and an American live-action one is in the works that seems to be slowly moving ahead. There are also a bunch of other productions related to it in Japan, as far as I can tell. Special holiday cakes, stageplays, the whole shebang. Has some really good figures.
Note: definitely falls into the category of shows with homoerotic undertones with essentially no representation or payoff, and the way Nathan/Fire Emblem is presented is definitely something that's worthy of some more in-depth criticism and discussion than I can offer at the moment.
Also note: This show deals with alcoholism and abuse at one point, as well as Batman-style parental death of one of the main characters, death of a wife, and really some very serious topics.
No. 6: It made me cry. The backgrounds are beautiful, the theme songs are beautiful, I recommend the novels as well as the anime, maybe over the anime. I can't speak for the manga. The novels, afaik, have no official English translation but there is a French version. The anime is good but the novels, from what I read, had a lot of nuance that aren't quite practical for a single anime season. It still made me emo. Dystopic/Utopic revolutionary stuff....
Has disease-wasps/hornets and some nasty stuff irt to that on top of more typical violence so fair warning. It can be a lot, if you're squeamish.
Has queer characters, very clearly so, but not a lot of... endgame romance, I guess I'd call it. Sort of open-ended. Animation itself is kind of stiff but the rain running down the windows in the first episode has stuck with me for years.
Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle: Lots of people have lots of opinions on CLAMP and their shows and comics. When I recommend Tsubasa, I have to be honest and say I am more recommending the manga than the anime, though the soundtrack is great and I enjoyed the show for the most part...
Thing is, CLAMP really isn't for everyone and this goes doubly for TRC which is a world-hopping crossover extravaganza but it was almost the first anime/manga I was exposed to and I adore the art of the comic which utilizes linework, SFX and tone so well. I also got really attached to the characters, even not knowing the source material (ie Card Captor Sakura, RG Veda, Tokyo Babylon) and I think CLAMP are really good at characterization and interpersonal relationships (this especially so in something like xxxHolic which also has really good bold stylized art in the manga, and a Questionable anime adaptation with beautiful background art) though I know a lot of people also have criticisms of their dealings in unresolved/unacknowledged queer implications, which is pretty understandable.
Doesn't shy from violence and features some kind of messed up backstories, especially for certain characters. Sakura begins as a kind of... helpless damsel type due to the entire basis of the plot but imo by the end of the story she's much more complex. Has vampires. Among other things. Gets kinda dark in the final quarter before lightening up again a little bit. By which I mean at least a full volume was completely devoid of the jokes or happiness which normally abound.
For some reason the new series is translated by a different company and it's not... great.
You don't need to read either xxxHolic or any of CLAMP's other works to understand what's happening but they do add a certain level of nuance/understanding to characters, especially xxxHolic which is technically in a shared timeline with TRC (whereas the other works just lend the story side characters and mini-plots, mostly)
I still highly recommend xxxHolic which is more straightforward and has very good characters and a focus on ghosts/demons/folklore in the modern day.
