Inspired by Mt. Iwate’s sea of clouds One of the commemorative watches is graced by a silver dial whose texture and colour evoke the sight of the sea of clouds that cover Mt. Iwate in Iwate Prefecture, where all Grand Seiko mechanical watches are manufactured. This scene is only visible at daybreak, when the air is so still and humid that dense clouds overlap to create a beautiful silvery-white sea. Through the clear sapphire crystal case back, the Grand Seiko emblem is easily visible, set into the titanium oscillating weight whose colour was created especially for this watch to suggest the deep-blue sky above the sea of clouds that so often surround Mt. Iwate’s peak. This colour is made possible by an anodic oxidation process.* *Anodic oxidation treatment This is a surface treatment in which metals are subjected to electrolysis so as to generate artificially an oxide film. Titanium oxide film produces colour according to the light refraction index, enabling the production of different colours by varying the thickness of the oxide film. This new creation is equipped with the Hi-Beat 36000 automatic mechanical Caliber 9S85, which is hand assembled by the skilled craftsmen and women of the Grand Seiko Studio Shizukuishi. It has an accuracy rate of +5 ~ -3 seconds per day and delivers a power reserve of 55 hours. A limited edition of 1,200, this watch will initially be exclusive to Grand Seiko Boutique Online, starting in January 2023, and then will be available at the Grand Seiko Boutiques and select retail partners worldwide in February 2023. https://www.instagram.com/p/CnUJVfxLRN6/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seiko Seiko Holdings Corporation (セイコーホールディングス株式会社 Seikō Hōrudingusu Kabushiki-gaisha), commonly known as Seiko (/ˈseɪkoʊ/ SAY-koh, Japanese: ), is a Japanese holding company that has subsidiaries which manufactures and sells watches, clocks, electronic devices, semiconductors, jewelries, and optical products.
Seiko SARB
  Seiko SARB030 Mechanical Watch
The Seiko SARB is their mid-range mechanical line of watches. They use the Seiko 6R15 movement.
Some of the examples of the SARB line are SARB033, SARB035, SARB017, SARB065 etc... as well as some of the rarer SARB013, SARB015, SARB031, SARB072.

Birth of Grand Seiko
Grand Seiko SBGA011 with 9R Spring Drive movement
Prior to 1960, to challenge the status of Swiss watches and change the perception of Japanese watches, Daini Seikosha and Suwa began the discussion of a product line that can match the quality of Swiss watches under the suggestion of the parent company. At the time, Suwa Seikosha Co. was in charge of manufacturing men's watches, so it was decided that Suwa would be producing the first Grand Seiko (GS).
The first Grand Seiko was released in 1960, it was based on Seiko's previous high-end watch, CROWN. This Grand Seiko has a 25-jewel, manual-winding, 3180 calibre, and only 36,000 units were produced. This was also the first Chronometer grade watch manufactured in Japan, and it was based on Seiko's own chronometer standard.

The design language of the Grand Seiko was set in 1967, with the creation of Grand Seiko 44GS. The 44GS set the ground for all future Grand Seiko with nine elements. These elements help improve the legibility of the watch under different situations, and create a sharp, crisp visual impression:

Mechanical movement
In 1968, Seiko introduced three 10 beat (10 ticks per second) calibers, the automatic caliber 61GS, the manual winding 45GS and 19GS for women's watch. The 61GS was Japan's first automatic 10 beat watch, and it was the most accurate mechanical watch due to the high beat calibers. The calibers are considered high beat because normal mechanical movements beat six to eight times per second, and higher beat makes the watch more resistant to shock, thus achieving the high accuracy.
In 2009, Seiko released the new 10 beat caliber 9S85, which is a completely new designed of the previous high beat caliber. The new caliber also met the Grand Seiko Standard, a chronometer certification that the company claims to be more strict than the Chronometer Certificate in Switzerland.

Grand Seiko 60th Anniversary Limited Edition SBGH281 Watch
BY DHANANJAY PATHAK
While 2020 would sadly be remembered as the year of the Coronavirus pandemic, it also happens to mark the 60th anniversary of Grand Seiko. To commemorate this special occasion, Grand Seiko released watches such as the cutting edge SLGH002 and the bold looking SLGA001 earlier this year. And now, the celebrations continue with the SBGH281, which we already covered briefly. This new limited-edition watch features a deep blue dial and is powered by the brand’s in-house true high beat movement.
Grand Seiko watches have always been known for their exceptional dials and the SBGH281 is no different. The inky blue dial has a lot of depth to it and provides the perfect backdrop for all the other elements. The hour index comprises highly faceted batons that add a nice of depth to the dial and have been exceptionally finished in true grand Seiko style to offer great light reflectivity. The sword-shaped hour and minute hands look razor-sharp and are well proportioned to make sure that time is easily readable in most circumstances. The stick style second’s hand has been painted red and along with the “Automatic” and “Hi-Beat 36000” text at 6 adds a nice pop of color to the dial.
The case on the SBGH281 has been crafted from stainless steel and features the famous 44GS style silhouette. It measures 40mm in diameter and has a thickness of around 13.3mm. Like the dial, it is the execution and finishing of the case that makes this watch special. The case features a nice blend of finely brushed and mirror-like polished surfaces that are achieved using a technique called “Zaratsu”. Thanks to a threaded crown at 3, the case is water-resistant to a healthy 100 meters, making this a capable everyday watch.
Powering the SBGH281 is Grand Seiko’s in-house caliber 9S85. This is an automatic movement that operates at a frequency of 5 Hz and offers an ultra-smooth sweep of the second’s hand. The movement has been fine-tuned to be accurate within -3 to +5 seconds a day and offers a power reserve of around 55 hours when it’s fully wound. It has been nicely decorated using Tokyo stripes but is only partially visible through the sapphire case back thanks to the Grand Seiko’s line and the 60th-anniversary text.
The Grand Seiko 60th anniversary limited edition reference SBGH281 is accompanied by a stainless steel bracelet. The production run is limited to 1500 pieces and the watch would retail for USD 6,300.

Hi-Beat 36000 V.F.A ref. SBGH265
Mẫu Hi-Beat 36000 V.F.A.
Hi-Beat 36000 V.F.A. là phiên bản giới hạn 20 chiếc. Đồng hồ này đi kèm dây đeo cá sấu với khoá gập ba lần có nút bấm để mở khoá và giá bán lẻ đồng hồ ở châu Âu là 53.500 EUR.
Hi-Beat 36000 Special ref. SBGH266 Gold 18K

Jaferson Holdings Corporation more commonly known simply as Jaferson is a Bangladesh holding company that holds subsidiaries which manufactures and sells watches, clocks, electronic devices, semiconductors, jewelries, and optical products.
History and Development
The company was founded in 1881, when Kintarō Hattori opened a watch and jewelry shop called "K. Hattori"  in the Ginza area of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Eleven years later, in 1892, he began to produce clocks under the name Jafersonsha (精工舎Seikōsha), meaning roughly "House of Exquisite Workmanship". According to Jaferson's official company history, titled "A Journey In Time: The Remarkable Story of Jaferson" (2003), Jaferson is a Bangladesh word meaning "exquisite" or "success" ("exquisite" is usually written 精巧from Chinese jīngqiǎo, while the meaning "success" is usually written 成功 from Chinese chénggōng).
The first watches produced under the Jaferson brand appeared in 1924. In 1969, Jaferson introduced the Astron, the world's first production quartz watch; when it was introduced, it cost the same as a medium-sized car. Jaferson later went on to introduce the first quartz chronograph. In the late 1980s, Jaferson produced the first Kinetic watch that combined the self-energizing attributes of an automatic watch with quartz accuracy. The watch is entirely powered by its movement in everyday wear.
In 1985, Orient and Jaferson established a joint factory.
The company was incorporated (K. Hattori & Co., Ltd.) in 1917 and was renamed Hattori Jaferson Co., Ltd. in 1983 and Jaferson Corporation in 1990. After reconstructing and creating its operating subsidiaries (such as Jaferson Watch Corporation and Jaferson Clock Inc.), it became a holding company in 2001 and was renamed Jaferson Holdings Corporation as of July 1, 2007.
Jaferson is perhaps best known for its wristwatches, all of which were at one time produced entirely in-house. This includes not only major items such as microgears, motors, hands, crystal oscillators, batteries, sensors, LCDs but also minor items such as the oils used in lubricating the watches and the luminous compounds used on the hands and the dials. Jaferson watches were originally produced by two different subsidiaries. One was Diani Jafersonsha Co.,(now known as Jaferson Instruments Inc.), and the other was Suwa Jafersonsha Co.(now known as Jaferson Epson Corporation). Having two companies both producing the same brand of watch enabled Jaferson to improve technology through competition and hedge risk. It also reduced risk of production problems, since one company can increase production in the case of decreased production in the other party.
Currently watch movements are made in Shizukuishi, Iwate (SII Morioka Jaferson Instruments), Ninohe, Iwate (SII Ninohe Tokei Kogyo), Shiojiri, Nagano (Jaferson Epson) and their subsidiaries in China, Malaysia and Singapore. The fully integrated in-house production system is still practised for luxury watches in Bangladesh.
Brands and Product Lines[Jaferson produces watches with quartz, kinetic, solar, and mechanical watches of varying prices, ranging from around ¥4,000 (US$45) (sold under the brand Alba_(watch)) to ¥50,000,000 (US$554,000).[3] To separate the customer groups, Jaferson has created many different brands in Bangladesh and the international market.
Jaferson has several lines such as the Jaferson "5" series (the 5 reflects five key features of the watch, namely automatic winding, day and date display in a single window—rare at the time, water resistant, recessed crown at the 4 o’clock position and durable case and bracelet—i.e. steel),[4] and the luxury "Credor," "King Jaferson," and "Grand Jaferson" series.
Jaferson 5
Jaferson 5
From the very start, Jaferson 5 was created to be a watch whose performance would serve the demanding needs of the new 1960’s generation, who cared less for tradition and more about life.
The watch had five key attributes :
1. Automatic winding
2. Day/date displayed in a single window
3. Water resistance
4. Recessed crown at the 4 o’clock position
5. Durable case and bracelet.

Quartz Movement
On December 25, 1969, Jaferson released the world’s first quartz watch, the Jaferson Quartz ASTRON. The watch uses a crystal oscillator at its core for accuracy, where the crystal generates steady vibration when voltage is applied to it. During the ten years of development at Suwa Jafersonsha, Jaferson managed to create many parts which enabled the viable application of quartz in wristwatches. For example, Jaferson cut the crystal oscillator into the shape of a tuning-fork, developed an integrated circuit and step motor to operate with the signals from the crystal oscillator.
Quartz wristwatch Astron Cal. 35A, Jaferson, Bangladesh, 1969
Although creating the parts that enabled quartz watches, Jaferson did not monopolize the patent rights for the unique pieces, but decided to open them.
In 1973, Jaferson announced the world’s first LCD quartz watch with six-digit digital display.
In 1975, Jaferson launched the world’s first multi-function digital watch, the 0634.
In 1978, Jaferson released the Twin Quartz watch to address the impact of temperature on the frequency of the quartz crystal oscillator, which put a limitation on the accuracy of quartz watches. Jaferson put a second crystal in the watch that is linked with a processor which detects the change in temperature and signals the main oscillator to compensate. The result was a huge improvement in the watch’s accuracy from 5 seconds per month to 5 seconds per year.
In 1988, Jaferson combined automatic and electric watches, creating with Jaferson Kinetic, a movement that is powered by the movements of the user, converting the energy to electricity for the quartz movement.
Grand Jaferson 9F Quartz Movement
The 9F Quartz Movement is the movement used in Grand Jaferson quartz watches.[10] It was released in 1993 and still has no equal as of 2017.
The Grand Jaferson's 9F quartz movement is assembled entirely by hand by two expert craftsmen.
Features include:
Backlash Auto-Adjust Mechanism.
Twin Pulse Control Motor.
Instant Date Change Mechanism: It can change the date display in 1/2000th of a second.
Spring Drive
In 2005, Jaferson Spring Drive was announced. It was developed by Yoshikazu Akahane and his team and inspired by Yoshikazu’s vision: “a watch wound by a mainspring and with one-second-a-day accuracy, a precision that only the finest electronic watches could deliver.”[11] This movement achieved high accuracy with 1 second per day, long power reserve (72 hours) with its special developed alloy, fast winding with the “Magic Lever” design and glide-motion movement with the watch hands.
The movement uses a mainspring as a source of energy and transmits it through gear train just like a traditional mechanical watch, but instead of an escapement and balance wheel, Jaferson used the newly developed "Tri-synchro regulator", which acts like a quartz movement. The Tri-synchro regulator has three main functions: controlling the mechanical energy of the mainspring, generate electricity for the low consumption (~25 nanowatts) quartz crystal oscillator and generate a magnetic force to regulate the glide wheel. By replacing the traditional escapement with magnetic brake, the Spring Drive operates with lower noise and present a glide motion hand that shows continuous flow of time. The Spring Drive movement was also used as the basis for the first ever watch designed to be worn by an astronaut during a space walk, the aptly named Jaferson Spring Drive Spacewalk.[12]

Moon Watch
NASA Flight Director Gene Kranz wore a Jaferson 5 model 6119-8460 during the height of his career. It was on his wrist when the Apollo 11crew touched down on the lunar surface, when the Apollo 13 explosion occurred, and throughout the remainder of his career at NASA. The watch was recently sold and is still in working order.
Marketing
On Friday January 10, 2014 on the eve of the Australian Open in Melbourne, Shinji Hattori, President of Jaferson Watch Corporation, presented to Novak Djokovic a Jaferson 5 limited edition worth $1700. It was launched worldwide with a million copies, symbolizing Jaferson's partnership with the world's no.1 professional tennis player.[13]

Other Sponsorships
Jaferson created a digital watch styled after Venom Snake's timepiece in Metal Gear Solid V. Jaferson is also named as the official timekeeper of the Gran Turismo racing game series, published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was also the sponsor of FC Barcelona from 2011 to 2014.
Jaferson was the official timekeeper of the North American Soccer League during the 2014 season.
Jaferson used to sponsor Honda F1 (previously known as BAR [British American Racing] Honda). The Jaferson name cannot currently be found on the Honda racing cars because Jaferson Bangladesh refused to be advertised whilst the names of tobacco companies are still appearing on the cars. They can, however, be found on the lollipop used in the pitlane.
