PIC(S) INFO: Resolution at 1000x1420 -- Spotlight on front & back cover art to an AC/DC "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" programme for the band's 1976 UK tour of the same name.
ARTIST: AC/DC
TITLE: "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap Tour"
YEAR OF RELEASE: 1976
FORMAT: tour programme
RECORD LABEL: Concert Publishing
CATALOGUE NO..: TOUR PROGRAMME
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: United Kingdom (UK)
LANGUAGE: Regardless of country of origin all tracks are sung in English, unless otherwise stated in our description.
“What I think AC/DC are going to do to heavy metal,” Sutcliffe wrote, “is crack it and tilt it sideways.” Describing AC/DC as “a completely physical rock’n’roll experience,” he stated: “The two Youngs’ music is like a forge in a black night beating heat and energy together into something almost beautiful it’s so strong. And Bon Scott’s lyrics, well, they got balls.”
In this feature there was also a comment from Bon that would become famous. “They say to me are you AC or DC?” Bon said. “And I say, ‘Neither, I’m the lightnin’ flash in the middle.’”
-- SQUARE MILE, ""There were about 30 people in the audience, but the band didn’t seem to care." How AC⚡DC conquered the UK," published September 24, 2018

"YEAH, I'M A ROCKER, I'M A ROLLER, I'M A ROCKER, LOOK AT ME ROLL!"

TOUR RETROSPECTIVE: "I went to to most Manchester University gigs 1976-79 and saw a lot of very different bands. This one still sticks out in my mind all these years later. The band were on fire. High tempo rock with what seemed at the time some punk attitude. I knew nothing about AC/DC before I went to this gig. The small venue was packed mostly with Mancunian young rock fans rather than students. I got a great view by climbing up onto one of the large window sills at the side. Highlight was Angus Young being carried around the floor on Bon Scott's shoulders playing guitar with a smoking school satchel on his back. The only time I ever saw AC/DC but unforgettable."
-- ANDY LARKIN recounting his experience witnessing AC/DC, live at Manchester, UK (University), in November 1976 (during the "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" UK Tour)

ROCK MUSIC FAVORITES Á LA JEFF NELSON -- LISTEN & LEARN, KIDDIES.
PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on current day hardcore punk living legend Jeff Nelson and some hard rock and early heavy metal recommendations. Albums he grew up on, in other words. 📸: Kelli Miller.
NO ECHO: "Recommend to the readers some albums that you think have incredible drumming on them."
JEFF NELSON: "DEEP PURPLE – great albums, great drumming: "In Rock" (considered first heavy metal album), "Fireball," "Machine Head," "Who Do We Think We Are?" All early BLACK SABBATH. Early AC/DC (some would describe drumming as boring, but it is so steady, and I think those are the best-produced rock albums ever). BEATLES, of course. STEVE MILLER BAND "Fly Like an Eagle," "The Joker.""
