this could also lend credence to the “the twins were conjoined twins theory” since it looks like the skin is laid over the metal in some spots (plus Tyreen’s right arm is always smaller than her left and Troy’s left arm is super fuckin tiny). Might also just be like “eh we’re covering it up with the jacket, whatever” since the bottom part looks bolted in over the skin

I didn’t realize at first that the collar/shoulder pad/pauldron thing was a part of it, but it kinda makes sense all things considered. The weight of that huge thing would probably cause any Furiosa-esque holding mechanism to fall off unless it was distributed across his shoulders and stuck in place using his giraffe neck
